Last year I struggled with Nightlady too. I had to borrow weapons from my friend and even then didn't know much about strategy. I lucked out and got 5 wins (with a bunch of losses). This year we should have no problem fighting her 10 times :D

Nightlady should be OK. Rouland worries me though, especially since I'm nowhere near ready to do Prodigy yet. But it's a couple months away, so I have time to work on beefing up my murderowl.

Let's do this 😄 I'm planning my build for Rouland too :D Hopefully I'll be able to get some wins.

Finished reading all of the books on my account to Pacifist. I don't actually recall where she was with AP before, but after reading over 300 books today, she has almost 150 AP now.

And I made a little weapon set for Cibophobia, got a low level stealer for him, and a couple infinite attackers on top of the healers I had.

Then I spent several hours in the garden and now I am pooped lol Let's do some battles!

- fortunately, I have an Aftershocks scroll and use it all the time. In fact, that was the original impetus for 81 to have a high AP to start. And I also have one Cobalt Eternal. Right now, I've been playing with a GoTF which is on long term loan and has been getting Tos past some of the Level 20 - 25 BQ challengers. And I've been trying to stock ingredients for Perilous Whirlpool, so I guess I'm at least started in the right direction. Good to know, thank you!

Congrats on making your mecha! I use it all the time on the hard hitting opponents so I boost all my stats by 250 after my first freeze turn. It works great on crawbeast, prodigy, crithbolcan, malerias familiar, chase and basically all of the impossible challengers with high health.

I finally passed 50% progress toward the stat cap :D

Got my first Oracle quest in ages too: Your pet Forsake gains 4 Speed!

Got carried away watching a Japanese drama.

Working on BQs - today will be a good day in the end. Have completed Level 25 so far - Skeletal Warrior, Cursed Effigy the Tormented, Surge (who was a huge pain today!), Cursed Effigy the Tormented again, Surge again (not quite so bad this time), Bonesaw, and am now being given fits by General Error. It's bad enough that he has his own stealers. But it's twice as frustrating when he steals my UltimaPlus Tag and then uses it to steal my Shinwas Short Sword! At least he can't steal scrolls (although I'd really love to steal a few of his. :-)

[edit] Can't remember who mentioned that venting about a challenger helped to get the win, but it seems to have worked for me today. Finally beat that pesky squirrel. Not yet up to dealing with Flamagia so done for today. Completed Level 26. Feels good to have made it back into the top range after being blocked below Level 25 for a stretch.

Yep, went to bed around 2:00 a.m. will continue tonight until completed. I got off the bus yesterday and there were a group of people (at least 15-20) on the corner with their phones out, I thought to myself, maybe they're a Pokemon gym group. Yep, they were looking for Pokemon on their phone. It does get you out and walking the neighborhood.

I seen you said something about Roland he is very hard opponent to beat .... I have a level 13 pet and I only got 8 wins on him last year ... I am hoping to get in all 10 this coming Morostide ... good luck to you this coming Morostide with Roland

- sometimes those stories really suck you in and make you want to just keep watching until you have seen the whole thing. Such a shame real life things (like work, or sleep) have to interfere. Hope tonight's session turns out to be a good one.

True - as long as they remember to stay safe, Pokemon searching can be a fun way to get out and maybe even make a new friend. (I was just being a little silly, consider please that, at the time of my last post, I was being thoroughly and repeatedly trounced by General Error. :-) So I guess you could say I was getting a little squirrelly (sorry, but really bad pun - just couldn't resist).

Oh wow, the mech makes a world of difference for me against Chase. Hard to say if it did anything against Crithbolcan since it's kind of a non-threat to me in BQs.

For crithbolcan during BQs, it helps battles go a little faster. When you are trying to get to 10 wins, it helps A LOT more. I think by then end he has like 60k health.

Also good luck with rouland! What are your pet's stats? Last year I got to three wins on him. This year I'm sure I can get the last 7, but I'm shooting for 10.

My pet's about 2700 per stat, and should be 3000-3200 per stat by Halloween.

What about health? I think when I got the 3 wins I was at about 4k health and under 3k in everything else, maybe around 2.5k. I think you will be able to manage a few wins, but I would start thinking about increasing your health.
