After you boost 100 str, go battle a few challengers and see if you can tell the difference. If not, dump another 100 in. Meanwhile, you can boost speed a little... Then it depends upon how much you want to spend on sp boosters.
With my main battle pet, I have just been going by what it feels like he needs more of. At lower levels, sp was a huge plus. Until T13, those stats were even.
Level: 74 Health: 169 / 169 Strength: 284 Defense: 138 Speed: 12 Intelligence: 501 AP: 31
Tier: 3 Rank: 13,522
So as I was saying about not staying T2 for long. xD Got all the easy and medium challengers maxed save Mephysto, Forj (cause I'm lazy and don't like any of Forj's forms) and the last five wins on Blood Bat.
Feelin' pretty accomplished, all things said. ^^
That's not really how speed works in the BC though. Like, you'll never outspeed them and get an extra turn or anything. It just affects crits and a very few select weapons that don't really matter much. I say go strength. But then as you can see from my new pet, I have a very low opinion of speed lol
Yeah, speed is used for crits, I know. I love crits. But all the same, I opted to bring Pacifist up to 4k strength and dump the last few points in speed.
Now let's go smash some things and see if it feels different to me 8D

Ah, I gotcha. Think I read you wrong. ^^ Congrats on the 4k strength either way!
Also I'm a dummy and forgot about the cash shop challengers so time to go see how far into T3 I can get today. :D
I made a spreadsheet on google that has all of the challengers. Updating it is rough when new guys get added because I forget to do it a lot.
I've beat all of the regular challengers ten times, except for Maleria's Familiar, who I beat five times, and then the Troll and Prodigy who I haven't beat at all.
Cash shop, I've got everyone up to Mornrise Serpent at least ten times. And secret challengers, I've got everyone up to Major Drills at least ten times.

It definitely becomes a more reliable blocker at T10. You're welcome!
Always good to train at a pace that is comfortable for you. It is nice to save experience. There have been instances where a new impossible opponent has come a long and I was able to boost my stats with experience I saved in order to beat them.
I would boost strength to hit harder per turn. Many of the impossible challengers have high speed. Unless you have 7k speed, there will always been an opponent out there that can out speed you.
Considering this is like only the second time I failed to do BQs in the 3 months since my pet could start doing them, I don't feel as guilty. XD if the trend continues then I might. Hope you're well~
15/20 BQs done so far, I am spacing them out so I don't get sick of them.
You Won! You have defeated Insight 10 times! You won a(n) Very Hard token to use in the battle shop! You earned 581 sP for beating Insight! Cynde earned 700 EXP Points!
Slowly picking off the next set of challengers: Very Hard. I have only one Hard challenger left but I am waiting since it's Lich Lord. [edit] You Won! You have defeated Recycle Beast Cynde earned 1500 EXP Points!
Annnd BQs are done.
Okay for real this time haha. Went back and cleared Mephysto, Forj, and Blood Bat, and did all the medium cash shop challengers except Dry Bovyne. She just straight up one-shots me every time lol
And I never realized that Volitus Ventri plant guy is actually pretty mean. Not of big fan of those curses that disable weapons and scrolls.
Yeah and then have a freeze happy challenger to boot. It fights dirty lol.
My least favorite challengers are the ones that don't allow healing. I hate healing in between battles idk

- okay, now I"m curious - how did you get that pet in your HA? Is is a CW?
- welcome to T3.
That's where 81 is now. If you don't mind me asking, what are you using as your main T3 battle set? At least at T3 there's a decent freezer and a stealer (no really useful blaster yet, though).
By the way, your list of accomplishments reminds me - I'd better go back and earn those pesky battle eggs with 81 now while she can still use them herself! I meant to do that as soon as she got to T3 ( - I guess this is how we start getting into trouble :-) )
- someone suggested I do BQs for a month and see what I thought, so I did that back in April. During that month, I felt like I needed to do them every day in order to meet my commitment - and it did sort of get to be a habit, so I do feel a little bit guilty when I don't do them. But I'm learning not to. On the other hand, like you said, I don't want to skip them too often. It's a balancing act (like so much else in life (sigh).
Same! I mean on some of the really hard ones I have to anyway, but for BQs, effigy is the worst! I like the 'use Pquill on last turn' strat to make sure I'm full health for the next battle, saves a lot of time and sP
It's the from the July 2015 collection. They seem to be for sale in user shops for about its cost in sP. It was cute, so I got it when it was released and wear it now and then.
speed stats do matter the speed of your pet determines who goes first on each turn if your opponent is faster then you they will strike first ... so speed is a factor during battling ... if you have that many stat points to spend I would definitely go with Strength the powerful your pet is the more damage you will do to your opponent .....

- thank you.
Yeah, I don't have a whole heck of a lot of blockers (I'm much more of an offensive, squid smash! type of a battler) so no heals is the worst.
I believe that speed pretty much only affects crits. I think everyone just smacks each other at the exact same time.
bird and bear and hare and fish give my love her fondest wish
when you and your opponent strike one another when you read what has happened if your speed is greater then your opponents whatever you used to strike your opponent with will appear first if not your opponents will
even though you and your opponent both get a turn your speed still determines who goes first in the battle ...
Speed - This stat influences the critical hit system. Higher speed can increase the likelihood of critically-hitting your opponent, and decrease the likelihood of your opponent critically-hitting your pet! Some weapons, such as Twisted Keeper Focus, give beneficial curses, blessings, stealing and/or freezing which activate at higher speed.
I see where you guys are coming from now .... I didn't know this about the speed ... I know when they first introduced speed that is what it determined to see which one went first in the battle ... but I still believe that still holds true as I have less speed then a few of the cash shop challengers and when we each take a turn their damage appears before mine but on a lower opponent with less speed my damage appears first on the screen

Not too different than my T2 set, but I like the shrines. I try to get a freeze on the first turn, then get a little extra defense, damage, and healing by activating the shrines. I only really use the shrines on freeze happy opponents though, just to protect me while frozen. Can't really rely on parched or natural armor since low-tier weapons have so few mod slots.
RE: speed Yeah, the combatant with higher speed gets their battle text listed first, but it's all calculated at the same time. So like, if you have 15 hp, they damage you for 20, but you heal for 10, then it just goes 15-20+10=5, not 15-20=dead. Now if it did affect turn order, and they could kill you before you get off a heal, that'd be a totally different experience.
I wonder if when the BQ goes through the reset and changes, will they do something about the Troll challenger?
Congrats on your castle wins. I totally understand where you're coming from regarding this challenger. So glad I'm through with it until the reset. Cinthilocks too. Such a brat.
I hope they do away with what they have going for that troll. UGH.
