- I spent way too many orbs trying to get Ninian. I actually hadn't been lower than a hundred for a while either until just now. I think I went down to like ninety something trying for LA Lyn. Prior to that I didn't really spend much on anyone except Hector and last year's summer banner. I need to go back to not caring about any units from now until the CYL banner, cus I know I'm gonna need a lot of orbs for that, whether they give us one for free or not! I tend to save, and then dump, but my luck is shit so if I'm trying for a particular unit it usually takes at least 150 to get them.

I set my team leader to my +9 Oboro, I hope she's been helpful to someone out there. I also bumped into 's Nino a few times... she's a complete beast and it makes me think I've definitely been sitting on the Brash Assault seal.

I still think that the new heroes might be the addition of Hrid, Bruno and maybe Ylgr as playable characters (Laegjorn or Veronica GHB please) - probably wishful thinking on my part but I think we got a Feh Channel before the last CYL, and I can't see them doing one if they've already announced the updates for the next version.

- lol, I'm glad she's helpful. She doesn't usually need the BA seal with her 43 speed, but she has that on residual from Ryouma Special. In infernal mode 43 speed isn't enough to double anyone! lol. But Brash Assault Seal + Desperation is pretty beastly if you can trigger it. I should put glimmer back on her for the VG though, battles aren't usually long enough for her to activate Blazing wind (again, just on there for Ryouma). Your Oboro has helped me out a few times too, she actually managed to beat a TA Axzura because of bonfire. I thought I was hooped with just her left against two green units.

- Any info would be good, I need to determine if I need to buy a switch for it or not. Warriors was definitely a pass.

I actually love Warriors, which is funny because I did NOT like Hyrule Warriors at all. Part of that was controls - the WiiU was so clunky to play on - but FE Warriors is such a great "I had a bad day at work and just need to beat the shit out of things" game, hahah.

I HAD SUCH A GOOD DAY IN HEROES!! I FINALLY got out of Tier 18 hell and am in Tier 19 for the first time in I can't even remember when, AND I used my orbs from getting into 19 to summon and got a +Atk/-Def Kinshi Ryoma!

Yeah pulling with a bunch of orbs feels so much better as you have a big safety net, though demoralizing when all those orbs disappear haha.

I haven't bought a Switch yet but it's a question of when and not if, really. Just hoping for some more titles down the line, the library is still pretty small. I'll probs pick up Warriors as it seems like a fun flick and the support conversations have been praised, from what I've seen. New Pokémon looks diabolical (the series has really been losing me recently, which sucks because I've been a devout since Red and Blue) so hoping the 2019 edition is worth picking up (didn't buy USUM out of protest of them phoning in half assed games).

And I had a really good week for Arena too. Ended up at like 3574 which is my highest score by far. Gave Fae a water blessing and Zelgius helped boost up my score, too. Most of my matches were 714 - 716.

That was about my score too! I only lucked out because I kept running the Arena yesterday just to get all the flags for the voting gauntlet - and on my last round I surprised myself by having a score of 3590ish. I couldn't believe it since I was just quickly going through for flags!

Also I'm working on him being the red unit for my flying team - he's going to end up similar to Cordelia because his def and res are both pretty bad. I'm thinking of doing a Slaying Edge build on him since that + Moonbow will make that go off an insane amount, and his special B slot adds +10 when special triggers, so he'll be great to just get in there and make a mess. I'm just going to give him his default A skill for now until I get more Swift Sparrow fodder, haha.

(apparently my goal is to have Swift Sparrow on everyone)

OH ALSO (sorry for all the little edits) -- the support conversations in Warriors are -great-. The ones between Xander + Takumi as well as Ryoma + Leo filled SO many little character things for me that I desperately wanted to see in Fates and didn't get -- and the support between Takumi and Lissa had and I both dying with laughter. Cordelia and Lissa get a support too which was just precious. Really, it's just an overall fun game and we both really really like it!

- Yeah, Ninian was particularily demoralizing cus I spend over 200 orbs and only had duplicate Kinshi Hinoka and Ishtar to show for it, and had tp spent my orbs as I got them to keep trying.

I'm still trying to convince my friend that we should go halvsies on a switch together, she was to play BotW, I want to play Mario Odessey, She wants to play Mario Kart, I want to play Splatoon... I think it'd work out well. The whole point of the thing is that it's hyper portable anyway.

Pokemon is losing me a bit too. Honestly, I'm ended up liking ultra sun and moon better than the original, but all in all, they are pretty much the same game. And Rotodex holds your hand even through the post game for both soooo overall probably at the bottom of the list of enjoyment for pokemon games for both of them. And I don't like all the metagame changes they keep throwing in, Z moves etc, it's getting way to confusing. The Switch pokemon game looks pretty lame, especially since I already play pokemon Go, it basically looks like a shittier stay at home version of pokemon go with re:story/gameplay of red/blue. And the pokeball controller... I predict a lot of broken TV screens. lol.

I WAS getting 705-712 ish battles in the arena, but even using all sorts of dueling crests, because I had to for the gauntlet anyway, I couldn't for the life of me get a deathless streak, so I had to switch back to my default 688-695 team, and ended up with a ever so slightly higher score to get me into T19. I had to forfeit a few times to make sure I was only doing the 690+ battles and none of the 680 ish ones. I kept getting rubbish BS teams like triple dancer + 10merged super unit, or repo/drag back loop hell.

- Congrats on T19 and Ryouma! I also managed to squeak my way into T19, but it was like... BARELY! I predict going down again next week. My team this week did really terribly, I ended up going back to my default Michaich/Brave Lyn/Azura/bonus unit team, I won't even have Fjorm's water boost to help me out this week.

I too am predicting I'll be going down again, but I seriously can't remember the last time I was in 19. I'm constantly in 18 hell (with the occasional "Oops dropped to 17 this week") so this is definitely exciting, even if it's not going to last! GO US.

Also just checked and no Army Victory for Ike this round, so it looks like we lost to Fjorm, which I wasn't expecting. If Alfonse survived, I'll definitely jump over to him for sure.

My score got me safely into T20 so you should be able to make it, too! I was a T18 - 19 bouncer but ever since I commited to Fae and Effie I've bounced up. It's not really a big feather increase but still pretty satisfying.

I run Slaying Edge + Glimmer + Desperation on my NY!Camilla. She's pretty cool but, if I could go back in time, I'd probs pick Firesweep. Just think it's a little more versatile and it would let you proc Bushido safely, if you go that route.

Haha my boyfriend keeps asking me if I'm going to get a Switch because he wants to play Odyssey. Maybe after I get home from our travels! I feel like there aren't gonna be any great deals or a price drop with how successful it's been, especially with Pokémon coming in November which is gonna be very popular despite my protests.

Yeah Sun and Moon sucked, to be honest, and while Ultra seemed a little better they still failed to add things I want to see in a Pokémon game (like a postgame, ahem). And Z moves are super dumb, especially after I'd warmed to some of the mages which... they proceeded to totally abandon. To release a near-identical game less than a year after the originals was a bit of a kick in the teeth. The fact that neither featured the National Pokédex is just... gross, especially as someone who'd went to the effort of a living dex just a generation before. Also lol at Let's Go restricting us to original 151, not even evos and prevos. I'm not against revisiting Kanto but I'd want it reimagined with a bigger scale, new towns and cities and terrains with additional species to add life to the whole thing. I'm actually super bummed about it because it's such an important series to me but really not going the direction I want it to and... there's nothing I can do about it, outside of revisiting the older games. I've played the metagame in and out over the years but not touched gen VII.

And haha I like Gunnthrá's design but she still hasn't found her way home to me so go go go Team Alfonse. Wow I have so many flags. Current sleep schedule really doesn't align with the gauntlet hah.

Still no Kinshi Ryoma. Might as well wait until he appears on the next banner.

i've been seeing more greens when it comes to non-friend units, i hope you are too o: i think is right in re/friend units though, it's cycling through the few +10 leads on my friends list (chrom, eirika, nino), which is neat but kind of annoying since it's so limited haha

I summoned my final one today and was so sad that I'm home alone and had no one to scream at (I screamed via text). She's my first +10 - I could have made a lot of +10s before her of other units (I have 8 4-star Leons just hanging out even) but she was my big project, my baby, my hard core mage killer that I love to just stick in the middle of the battle and watch things around her die. It probably seems like a weird unit to put so much time and effort into but I love her and she's complete and she's mine. I'm so happy. I hope if she ends up on your team she serves you well in the Voting Gauntlet ❤️

Would fully recommend a switch, Odessy is really fun and I really enjoyed Warriors (much like Jessi it was a good game to let loose on) also Frederick and Leo’s conversation was gold, it was worth it just for that.

Lol, yeah, I was only just getting used to the Megas when they more or less abandoned them in favour of Z moves. Z moves are interesting, but WAY too complicated for me for the meta-game (at first I was like, cool, you made a deus ex machina thing for kids to help them win the game, wait, what? you can use them in comp and EVERY SINGLE status move does something DIFFERENT? Tap Out.) . And, heh, I had completely forgotten about the Nat Dex thing, yeah, that made me pretty mad too. Also, there was totally a post game in S&M, you go catch Ultra Beasts....another WTF thing they added. OTL. And don't get me started on 'Alola forms'.

I like Gunnthra's... colour scheme. lol. I just wish the expression on her face weren't so bleh.

- I think I would like warriors for the support convos, which I can probably watch on youtube or something if I really wanted to, but I don't care much for that type of gameplay.

And no, you didn't miss much with S&M except hand-holdy tutorial mode from start to finish and beyond, every move now has a second move, half the gen one pokemon now have two versions, megas? what are those, gym badges? what are those, and what is probably the most WTF pokemon plot to date (which is saying a lot! cus pokemon plots, lets face it, aren't that good to begin with). Not to mention so questionable pokemon designs (crabominable? wut?) Oh, and you are now the 'rival', aka. the jerk who beats your so called friend at everything making them feel bad. They made berries easier to get, that was nice I guess.

- Congrats on T20! And, yes, I have been having a bit better luck with allies this time around. Still have gotten the odd double alphonse, but not nearly as bad as the sharena situation.

I'm mostly only interested in Legault on the new banner, and he looks prime for 4* demotion. His weapon looks inheritable, I want it on Matthew. Karla's just another flashy fast sword user, and honestly just makes me sad for Karel, the far superior character. And Nino while I love her, I don't think I need another green flying mage, and why isn't your weapon SE against flying?? Also ! It's getting a bit ridiculous. At least she's not an armour?

I changed up my Arnea team a bit and finished throwing skills on my Fjorm... And I THINK I might be able to make it to tier 20 if I can survive all 5 battles without getting anyone killed. I'm hitting 714-720 a round, but I keep doing stupid things like putting Alm in the way of an Effie that can reach him when danced. I'll have to try when I'm not tired and high on benadryl.

- That was my problem last week, I could get the scores, but then couldn't beat the teams without dying, so my scores ended up lower than they would have been if I used a less points team, but everyone survive.
