- That's what I ended up having to do. I swapped out Ninian for Fjorm and now I'm doing much better. She just dragged my score down too much, sadly. And thank you! I'm glad that, at least for a while, I won't feel so much pressure to summon from blue. I can also give my blue shards and crystals a chance to recover, because I've been too lazy to level most of these Mathildas to 20 before promoting them XD

- Yeah, it has been better. I unfriended the first of mine who kept sending me Sharena after the first 3 Sharena battle. Serves them right for being dumb. lol.

Yeah, he's got some nice fodder skills, hopefully they don't pull a farfetch'd heroes thing and don't demote any of them. These guys aren't as good as that trio IMO, so hopefully Legault gets demoted. But they may pull a Ares and demote Karla. (though I doubt it, the wave skills are too new to give us them at 5*)

I saw a Nino in the arena today with odd attack wave. It guess it pairs pretty well with blade tome.

I got all the way to 5 wins with no deaths, then had two units die :( so I wasn't able to improve my arena score. There's still time though, maybe I'll get it.

Speaking of skills I decided to poke at the Ryoma banner again to see if I could get anything good as I am low on good fodder units. Got an Ares which is great, but I did get Christmas Chrom and Christmas Robin! That was a nice surprise. He’s my first unit with armour March so maybe it’s time to revamp my armour emblem team.

And!

I managed to finish my Oboro so she’s now +10! I celebrated by giving her steady stance and quick Riposte, with the brash assault seal (to hopefully cover once she falls out of QR range). She’s been great on chain challenge and in the training down so I hope with the tweaks she’s still proving useful in the gauntlet if you encounter her C:

literally exact same thing happened to me :( got to the 5th battle with a perfect score and just - died in a situation where I thought I was safe. Taking a break and I'll try again tomorrow or Friday :<

Also poor Alfonse lost to green Fjorm. Good effort, everyone! your Oboro was amazing help and multiple times saved my ass when I was too blue heavy - she could at least widdle down the greens for me!

Haha we fought well, team. Poor poor Alf tho, we didn't stand a chance. I spent basically my whole stack of flags yesterday though and ended up in the top 1k and top 5k for overall rank thanks to so many sweet multipliers. I kept rolling with a +10 Close Counter Lissa which... sounds cool but she's actually pretty useless and was a bit of a liability.

I have a demote week so easy for me but hope all your arena fortunes turn around! I did have a pretty stressful run doing AA this morning, made a couple of stupid mistakes against the deluge of dragons I faced and had to restart twice half way through. Ended up just shy of 5k.

Also spent a few orbs pulling green on BHB banner, happy with a Dierdre or better IV Julia. Ended up with a +Spd -HP which is a nice upgrade from +Def -Spd, in my opinion. She still manages to get wiped by a Fae in AA hmmmm.

And yeah, not fussed about the new banner which is cool. Happy to have another Wrath unit in the pool, long overdue.

Poor Alphonse. No Loyalty for Askr. A friend sent me some stats, Alphonse had the smallest team in round 1, the smallest team in round 2, and the smallest team in the final round as well :( In the first round alone, Gunnthra had a larger team than Alphonse/Sharena/Anna Combined, and she had the smallest army on the legendary side (she was about tied with Fjorm, the largest on the Askr side)

Askr great again! Yo! Give them Weapon forge, or Legendary status, or make them summonable! Or all three?? Please? SOMETHING to make them better?

- Congrats. :) Is she the first unit you've promoted to 5s? How many 5s are you at?

- I promoted my Cordelia to 5s finally. I was up to 100k feathers again and didn't have any merge units or skill units I wanted to use feathers on. Got to say, she's doing pretty well :) She needs a TON more SP though. Gale force takes 500, Firesweep lance + is 450, and Life and Death isn't cheap either. After getting her to level 40, she still needs the SP for L&D 3 and Hit and Run. I thought that she had more SP than she did before I promoted her. She was +2 merged at 4s.

- It's so frustrating! And I was having such a good go of it until that point too, not too much difficulty, units all coming out with pretty decent health, no close calls, and then dead by unexpected WoM or something.

I have yet to promote Hana to 5 stars. Need to get a few seals first. She's gonna be my first 5 star promoted unit once I do that. I have a few 5 stars (2 Karels, 2 Brave Lyns, 1 Brave Ike, 1 Vanguard Ike, 1 Fjorm, and 1 Young Tiki) in tow, and I hope to get more.

(Maybe after I'm done with Hana, I'm gonna direct my focus to build and 5 star a Lukas. I'm lacking in tanks)

I MADE IT. As of right now my score is 3582 and I'm ranked 5848 out of 12908. It's only Thursday so I'm not banking on anything yet but if I make it to tier 20 I might cry.

Your Freddybear is so amazing though, so totally worth it! Though I do laugh at his res, compared to the rest of his stats especially!

I LOVE Lukas. He's one of my favorites in Echoes and he's such a fun unit here. Basically an armored unit without armor, haha. Mine is +def and he's just such a solid tank. He has abysmal res, but that's sort of a given with Lukas, similar to any actual armor unit, really.

Also I love how many of us just have +10s of our favorite units regardless of how popular they are ;o; it makes me cry happy tears.

Pulled Legault this morning so I guess I am to get ninjas with this and the legendary banner XD.

Aww how cute are the accessories? They're superfluous fluff but I'm into it. I gave my Bridal Cordelia the Seashell Clip and it matches perfectly with her scheme. The masks seem to look good on just about anybody, too.

Just did a full circle on the new banner but didn't get anything of note bar a Selena for Reposition. Also really cool that Kaze has been added to the 3 - 4* pool, so appreciated! I was a little bummed he was just a freebie as he always finds a spot on my Fates teams - hope it's a start to seeing more favourite freebies find their way into the pool (though saying all this I don't actually love his art in game because they made him look oh so young).

- I still went through and removed anyone who hadn't played in over a week. I'm ruthless. lol. I'm happy we are getting another free Axe unit! And finally Lloyd can hang out with his brother! And I'm glad Ursula made an appearance on the final map to complete the fangs.

- Decent start. Brave Lyn and Brave Ike are solid pulls. I pulled Karla on my freebie circle, I wish I could give her to you. lol. She is another shining example of shitty in game great in heroes unit. Karel is so much better than her in game, but she's power creep'd Karel hard in heroes. Mine has got + def and - res, unless she was +spd, she wasn't going to be more worthwhile to me than my +spd - res Ayra. ...Oh yea, badges/crests, I forgot about those. I've built up so many over the course of the game that I don't need to worry about them anymore.

- I'm glad they are just cute, and not like stat buffers (like in Fates), that would make things too complicated for me, not to mention the stats over aesthetics thing that it would inevitably create. I gave the seashell clip to my Summer Robin, it's all themey. I gave the bunny ears to Nino, they look super cute on her, it's like I have another spring banner unit! I'm also super happy to see Kaze in the regular pool! He's got good skills and would be a decent unit to build up. He kind of overlaps on felecia's territory, but high res units aren't too common.

Really disliking these red banners. They are such an eyesore. :(

Now my Hana is at 5 stars and she has Life and Death 3. Really starting to come together.

I was trying to pull for Karla this morning, but no dice. I did get an Athena with a speed+ and res-, which may not be exciting, but it is quite good. Now if I could only pull a Lukas with some optimal IVs.

Edit: Oh yeah, I must ask. Should I build Athena? She seems like good unit, friends.

Agree about the red banners. They're hideous. I get it's to help newbies but... it wasn't that hard to figure out before imho.

I pulled an awful+hp/-atk Nino. At least shes swift sparrow fodder!

- How? what? There was no problem with how it was before. If they wanted to label all the castle statues, couldn't they have done it using the same style as the rest of the banners? like with gold and blue instead of bright red? I change my castle design from the ornate to the royal and it's a bit less of an eye sore, but I miss my old castle decorations, :(

- +spd and - res is probably one of her better IVs, she's a decent unit, but I think she's been gettin' power creep'd. She's probably a more worthwhile Wo Dao user than Karel though at this point.

- Probably? I'm not sure what his stats are like, but I always like + spd. HP appears to be super bane for him though, lowering his overall stat total.

Ahhh yes the red banners are hideous. I immediately scooted to the settings to see if I could turn them off. I knew there was something to complain about!

+Spd -HP is my default fave IV. I feel like most units benefit from more speed - whether it's to double or avoid doubling. Seems like it'd be a good fit on him!

Haha I gave my bunny ears to Nino too! They fit her perfectly. I gave Reinhardt the Enigmatic Mask as a homage to Bruno, wherever you are. Sharena got the Marth Mask and Alfonse got Feh because I feel like it's canon haha.

-Atk might be salvageable if you slap a bladetome on her - her speed is pretty sweet so she shouldn't have much trouble doubling and destroying. I know my cav Eirika is -Atk - and I just kept her default tome because I didn't want to throw much investment at her - but because horse buffs are so strong she still demolishes most PVE content. I've used her for a couple of TTs and she's great.

I guess it depends on your flying mage situ. I use S!Camilla all the time and she's nigh on irreplaceable, even with a wonky stat spread which shouldn't be as powerful as it appears. Flying mages are just so flexible that even B!Ninian can become destructive with a bladetome in her hand.

And on that note, I managed to do the Lunatic chain challenges on my first attempt! Was a pretty fun challenge. I used fliers because some of the terrain is annoying, and wow is it frustrating trying to predict what a dancer is going to do, but somehow we survived. I whittled S!Camilla down to 1HP early on so she could take advantage of Desperation + BA and also had Wings of Mercy support from Airzura. Elincia did a lot of ferrying with Flier Formation and Reposition, while Cordy poked around with Firesweep.

Edit: Oh yeah forgot to say that Athena is a bit of a hard sell at the moment unfortunately. Her stats are entirely eclipsed by Ayra, who literally has the same or better individual stats across the board and a busted special to boot. While she is far more attainable, she also has strong competition from some of the sword lords with better weapons who are equally viable for merges - units like Eirika or Marth are very popular projects thanks to their attainability and unique weapons. Obviously you have to work with what you have, and she's a decent stopgap with great IVs who will get some use, but in terms of a project I'd maybe look elsewhere. Fir has a weaker stat line but a unique weapon which reduces cooldown alongside the +10 damage boost, as a closer comparison.
