- She's not a F2P unit though, so I'm not sure her being neutral really helps that much. At least she isn't - att though.

- That's how it goes for legendaries with me too. I like using them for their stat boosts though (Poor - spd Green Lyn and - att gunnthra)

I went with Ike because I care so little about this gauntlet that I closed my eyes and picked someone. Though if Ike loses and Alfonse wins I plan to switch to him.

- lol, and ended up on the most popular team. Sharena and Alphonse seem to have very little love, granted our scores are really low because we have been in same hell forever, but Ike has 20x more points. I don't even think constant boosters could get either alphonse or sharena there.

There was a skit at the big anime convention the year awakening came out with Cordelia and Chrom dancing around each other, and finally ending up together centre stage at the end, everyone cheered. It was amazing. Her story wouldn't be nearly as tragic if it weren't for the fact that Chrom can get together with Sumia. Cordelia's all like, I'm duty bound to serve him, therefore I can never be with him, then Sumia comes along and is all like to hell with duty, princey-guy is into me; I'ma tap that. I was a tool and had Sumia and Chrom married before I even recruited Cordelia in my first play through, my second play through, Sumia got benched. Chrom married Olivia instead (I love the special cut scene that Lissa gets with that pairing) but my favourite canonical Chrom pairing is with Maribelle (and only half because Miracle + Rightful King Brady is a beast). Maribelle was one of my left behinds in my first play through, but she is highly under rated. I hope we get her in heroes soon.

- At least since they are up against each other that means that one of them is guaranteed to make it to the second round. If the weren't against each other, there;s a chance they might both have been knocked out in the first round.

The predictor has Ryoma going down to Gunnthra because of the last hour multiplier :C I'm not sure who I'd support if him and Alfonse got knocked out.

Congrats on getting Ryoma though! He's still really fun to use though because he has naturally high speed. Tiamo's overlay is adorable :3 Definitely need to put some love into some of my FE pets.

True, but sometimes in F2P guides you might need an alternative unit to the one they're using (I sent home my free neutral Olivias for example... oops) so neutrals can be handy. And haha, I accidentally married Chrom to Robin in my first Awakening play through. I had no idea about pair ups when I first played, so was totally shocked that it happened.

I almost always end up pairing Chrom up with Sumia because I just sort of Do Not Care (and also because I LOVE Cynthia so much as Chrom's kid. It is all about Cynthia) but if I'm playing through on male Robin, I always pair up with Cordelia. I just love her - she's my favorite Fire Emblem character ever (more than Takumi ;) ) and she's just so sweet. Actually, in my most recent game, it's the first time I DIDN'T marry Cordelia and I feel terrible and guilty and will probably restart and do right by my wife, hahaha.

Also yeah I half picked Ike too because I figured he'd be an easy win, but you can never tell with these things I feel -- especially since they changed them a few gauntlets ago and it's basically impossible to tell who will win any round until it's over and done with.

Yeah even with his pretty meh boon and bane I'm still going to work on leveling him up later tonight! He'll be good as my temporary red unit on my flying team until I finally summon Elincia.

Finally got one of the new brides at long last.

Need to check her IVs but I got Bridal Sanaki so mission complete

Edit: and Sanaki is a Def boon/Res Bane, as a flying mage I'm not sure if this hurts her or if this is more of a "neutral" Boon/Bane as far as it's impact. Soup Takumi is a hp boon/Def Bane so it doesn't hurt or help him but I can live with that >_<

- I love Cordelia as well. She's really well designed and well written. I married her when I played as a male too the first time (the second time I married Panne for ALL the taguel children! taguel Morgan is best)

- It more relies on the stats (mainly def and res) rather than whether or not they are neutral, +def - res Ninian would be more similar to neutral Olivia than neutral Ninian. I have to use my priscilla in some cases to replace my +def Lissa cus enemies don't chase her like the should sometimes.

- Yay! + def boon on flying mage is decent if you want to raven tome them and make them archer counter support, not sure how much bulk sanaki has though. My +def Spring Camilla however is a boss when it comes to handling archers, she doesn't even need Iotes shield most of the time.

- Have you been finding you've been ending up on a lot of teams with an ally alphonse? I've been getting a disproportionately large amount of Sharenas as my random ally and it's REALLY frustrating since I'm using my sharena to get the bonus points. I'm curious to know if the same is holding true for Alphonse and Anna (aka. the other units that no one could possibly not have.)

Damn. Alphonse made up a LOT of ground in those last two hours, down by 15million to victory without boost. Not sure how that happened, but well played sir. I shall now join you instead! Lets go beat up your commander! One of these day we'll have a VG where Sharena makes it out of the first round :( I'm so sad for her.

Haha I'm an Alfonser too, surprised we won that first round as we were stuck in same hell for so long! I only ended up spending on a 6.1x multiplier but still ended up in the top 5k, lol. I received about 10 friend requests during the gauntlet haha, never had so many flood in before.

Also teetering on top 10k for the TT. I might burn a few stamina potions to guarantee my rank as I have oh so many of them, and auto battle is easy enough.

haha seeing those victory feathers this morning was quite a suprise. i missed alfonse’s bonus while i was traveling so i just dumped some flags the last two hours... and i guess a lot of other people did too!! i hope he does well against anna ;w;

i’m honestly surprised by how well gunnthra did o: i guess she was more available as a bonus, since she’s been out longer? understandable i guess, but kind of a bummer. x;

i had to squish all my voting gauntlet quests in last night — almost the entire time my allies were a terrifying eirika on my friends list or a random unfriended red, usually another alfonse. sometimes i got a nino off my friends list, but not often. it’s very strange, usually it’s more balanced than that?

Ryoma got taken out by a last hour multiplier again :C I’ve hoped over to Alfonse (thank you , your Frederick keeps popping up. He’s super useful!)

Looks like I'm the only one in Team Anna in this topic? XD If Alfonse wins I'll join you for the final round! I only went with Anna for the feathers tbh, it feels like we were less stuck in same hell than Sharena/Alfonse (or maybe I was just playing at the right times and my bf who was team Sharena didn't haha). I was pretty surprised we won against Fjorm though!

I'm enjoying seeing all your allies on Team Alphonse. I had 0 friends on team sharena from the beginning.

- Yeah, it's been weird. I lost more VG battles last round that I have for any other VG. So far I've only gotten one Alphonse as an ally. But I really don't understand the logic behind sending out the bonus unit. Even if you didn't know that you can't get the bonus from an allies unit, when it's a unit that everyone has, does it not occur to people that they will be using their own version of that unit to get the bonus points?

I cannot resist the urge to spend orbs on that new banner whenever I get at least enough for all 5 of them. Ryoma is an elusive samurai...

yeah, i dunno what's up with the gauntlet this time around. maybe we're just particularly unlucky with our allied units this time p: either way, i hope we see fewer reds! (except for that distant counter eirika. she can stay, haha)

I feel like the gauntlets are more likely to give you units with high merges. I've seen a lot of 's super Frederick and also a Nowi that I recently befriended but not a lot else. Actually haven't encountered another Alfonse, luckily, but have lost a couple of battles along the way. Thankfully it's easy just to hop right back in!

Haha the legendary banners are known for being horrendous orb sinks, especially if you're targeting a single hero. The legendary units rotate in and out every two/three months though, so don't panic if you don't get him this time as he'll be back before you know it. :) Also look out for the banner post-update - on the 8th - there's speculation it might be the next round of Choose Your Legends units (Celica, Veronica, Hector and Ephraim) if any of those float your boat.

Also I'm not sure if I received/accepted your friend request? I've received a bunch through the gauntlet so not sure who I'm saying yes or no to. What's your friend code?

Ughhh I'm so excited for the update. ;o; Why does time seem to move so slowly before them? I have about 550 orbs saved at the moment for whatever surprises head our way so at least I'm somewhat prepared!

- Damn that's a lot of orbs. I have 15 at the moment (I had 35 before I summoned on the b8 banner again) I'm committed to saving for a bit now, so I hope I don't care about the next couple banners.

- I'm pinning it on people are dumb and just bad luck (cus we all know my luck is the worst). A lot of them haven't even been level 40 or or didn't even have their fully equipped base set. I know the units you get are SOMEWHAT dependant on the unit you pick to take to battle (I accidentally sent a level 10 unit I was training by accident and my random ally and enemies were about the same, my friend unit was level 40 and basically did all the work), but this time around it's been kinda ridiculous. If you're getting it too, it may be a conspiracy. I did end up with 3 blues a lot last time, and let me tell you, 3 blue units, or 2 blue units and a healer are particularly useless against TA gronnraven mages. I tried to make friends with everyone who sent me a red unit, but they were few and far between.

I've been floating around this mark for a while now but was lucky to pull Bridal Ninian, Bridal Lyn and Winter Robin in under ~100 orbs a piece so the TT, GC etc has kept my count up. Spring Kagero was the first time I fell into double digits since launch and it scarred me hahah, gotta keep saving!
