Yup exactly like Pokémon! And ahhh yup you have to add the difference of weapon damage into it, that's where the variation comes from. SO when Camilla goes from a 4* to a 5*, she gains Brave Axe+, which gives you an extra 3 attack.

And yeah, my Cordelia made it to 40 without access to Galeforce, which needs 500 SP. D: Took a little bit more grinding to unlock it!

I have three Cordelias 4* here, so I think I'll probably pick one to evolve. At least one of them should be decent. Or so I hope.

Ooh that's not good, what did she roll with? Most attackers obviously want +Atk or +Spd but that doesn't mean it's the end of the world; she's pretty tanky, and she's a flier so that gives her additional opportunities to bait enemies, you might be able to work the other boons! +Atk is really handy for Brave users though, obviously, as they have a lower base on their weapons to it's useful to make up for it in stats.

I believe she's -SPD +HP, which honestly isn't good. SPD is one of her main stats, so... i.i

Yup that's right! And hmm yeah that is an unfortunate stat to lose on, her speed isn't the best anyway so she'll get doubled by more stuff. She's still a great unit but I'd, personally, hold off on upgrading her and seeing what other options we get.

But yeah, my greens are lacking too. I'm taking a liking to Sheena, she's very tanky but her damage output leaves a lot to be desired. Still, sometimes, it's handy to have a wall to draw attention.

Oh. She's pretty good as a tank, especially if you don't have Effie. I don't personally like tanks because it's not always that I want to put a cleric on my team to make them even more worth it and they are usually slow movers so... yeah. Unsure. :(

Also, I see and at the same time I don't see why people hate to be in a match against Takumi so much.

Like... it's a powerhouse unit that can counterattack independent of the range. I see that.

But he can be torn apart by magic users at a distance, like Robin or Tharja -- both won't get OHKO by Takumi if they are attacking first (and they can be healed after if you have a healer on your team!). And I pretty much believe that other magic characters can do as good as them in terms of killing Takumi. I'm just mentioning that two because they're the ones I have. xD

Yeah I think that'd be wise. Camilla already gets the -5 speed penalty from her Brave weapon, too, which I'd forgotten. Boooo Camilla.

Takumi can be a pain in the ass, haha, it depends. I think the main problem is how good he is vs. almost every other unit, he has a specialised set of counters. I lean on Robin hard to beat him. I actually find it better to bait him with Robin and let him get the first hit. If I initiate with Robin, Takumi can kill him on the counterattack depending on his spread. It's also easier to bring him to me with his range and clear the rest of the team from there, imo, as I tend to play more defensively to try and keep all my units alive and preserve the bonus (my score in this week's arena is ~3950 as I lost a handful of units along the way).

That is a great idea, too. As I usually have healer + Tharja with me, I just try to get Takumi first and heal her right after. She has far more speed than Robin, so she usually gets to hit him twice and kill. Sometimes she ends up in a bad position and get killed right after even though I healed her but.... well, at least Takumi is successfully killed so... xD

(my weekly score is 3,092... i'm quite satisfied, i think xD it will grant me the max amount of feathers I can get on my arena rank so... yay!)

Have you seen the latest updates? New banner is underwhelming, and so is Robin F, apparently, but I managed to get her unit on the easy map this morning. The hard one destroyed me, hah, I have no units that can survive the pincer attack of mages.

This week's arena is... interesting. I promoted my Narcian from 2* > 3* for the bonus and have trained him all the way up to 37. He's okay, and can easily stand up to blues, but otherwise stays out of trouble. I'm sat at 17.1k feathers now and don't want to splurge on upgrading him; my weekly score is ~4050 at the moment which puts me at rank ~25k, so I'm gonna hold off. Not too shabby! You get a 1500 feather bonus for it; I'll probably slip down past the 30k bracket, which still gives me 1000 extra feathers, and I'm hoping to cling on there.

I'm currently salty cos I just had the worst arena match-up haha. Was on my sixth win, enter into my next battle to find... an Olivia, two Takumis and a Robin. Once Takumi one took down Robin it was all over haha, I had no chance. Just brutal. They stomped all over me.

I saw them. The new spawnable heroes seem... well. I'm not sure about Fir and Hawkeye, but they don't seem that great. Maria's performance can be surpassed easily by Sierra, Clarine and Elise... or even Lissa! Tiki is nice, of course.. but I already have her 4*, so I'm not tempted to spawn at all.

Robin F seems.... okay, really. She's not better than the original Robin at all, but I'm pretty sure that she'll be ranked at least A among the green mages, but I might be wrong.

Narcian seems to be an interesting unit, even though he only shines against blues and it's a bit fragile to the rest.

I'm at rank ~40k. I'm afraid of trying Arena very seriously, up to my max possible score every season, and end up getting too high in terms of ranking so that I won't be able to do the minimal points needed to get the maximum amount of feathers per week because the enemies will be too tough. Does my fear make some sense? xD

Oh! I had a friend complaining about getting teams with two Takumis. hahahahaha

I never faced one but... yeah, it's tough.

About the new event to get Robin F, after I don't-even-know-how-many-tries-anymore, I finally completed the hardest map. I was able to do it thanks to the combo Takumi counterattack + Lyn's special that makes her act twice per turn. Otherwise, it would have been impossible.

And I made a lot of teams to try it, including characters with many MDEF... like Julia.

I think I read you saying that the "Family Bonds" characters aren't that good but... I kind of like them a lot. I only got Ephraim and Julia... but... well...

Julia can be considered a Nino w/ a small area heal. She's very paperlike em terms of defense, but has an absurd high mdef... so she's very useful against mage teams. So... she's not OP, of course, but she's very good as a Green Mage.

I can't say the same about Ephraim though. He's awesome, really. He remembers Catria a lot, but without the disvantage of being a flying unit (and becoming archer's favorite food). He also has a very high attack and passives to debuff def... which means his hits hurt a lot.

I didn't got Eirika, sadly.

Fir was one of the first 4* units I rolled so I went with her for a while; mine is around level 22. She started to struggle a lot, though, and she's been benched since. Her resistance is her one key feature, but, sadly, I still found myself losing to mages as her attack and speed can't keep up. It's a shame! I like her design, wish I could get more use out of her. I haven't pulled from Family Bonds either, I have 70 orbs stockpiled atm so should be able to do at least 4 complete pulls when new banners roll in. The pity percentage on 5*s resets with each banner so I want to give myself a good shot at pulling one.

I'm really disappointed in Robin F, to be honest. :c Her niche seems incredibly small. But it seems like it might be worth investing in her, at least a little, as they've hinted she'll be useful in a future event. And there's a good chance she'll appear in the next arena rotation, too, like Narcian has. I'm gonna pump her up to level 20 3* and rest on it. Kudos on finishing the map, that's a massive achievement! I was looking at Reddit for strategies and everyone is like 'Yeah it's easy I just sent in my Takumi and Camilla and Linde and Kagero' and I'm just there like... 8) whoops should have re-rolled. Ah well, at least upgrade costs are cheap!

And yeah, I don't think anyone really knows what the tiers in the arena mean, it seems very unclear. We've received plenty of dueling swords, though, and I have a stockpile of 20 so I'm not too worried to burn through 'em at the moment and try to work my way up, I need more feathers so badly. :B Have you finished up the monthly quests yet? I just need to finish the level 35+ cavalry kills (almost there with Peri) and then the Lunatic Arena quests; probably gonna leave the top tier there and just aim for 40 wins for the 1000 feathers. I did most of the weapon quests today, just have the three Lunatic quests left but I think I'll leave 'em, the reward isn't that great and I think it'll be beyond frustrating with my current roster.

Ignore those Reddit users. It was not easy at all. I tried with a lot of good characters and I wasn't able to succeed due to the map format. I only was able to do it due to Lyn and Takumi as I told, but they're very unique characters.

I have tons of swords as well but I'm somewhat saving. I'm slowly advancing through the arena, so I won't get stuck. Or at least I will try to.

And wow... I totally forgot about the monthly quests! I was focusing only on making good use of the bonus EXP period and I forgot completely!! There're only 5 days left for those and 3 for the mastery ones... so I need to focus now. ç_ç

I just hope it's more interactive than the usual "oh, you can pick one of your friends character and use as CPU" or something like that.

I managed the easy map for the event today, but I don't think I will bother trying the hardest one (I tried once... that was enough), I don't think I have the good characters at the right level for this, I feel it would be a waste of stamina xD I will focus on the monthly quests I have yet to finish instead (: (especially the 35+ cavalry kills one, I could use those 5 orbs)

(seems like my highest level units are all Manakete/mages, ahah) Noticed I took this screenshot just after doing arena sooo Odin and Narcian aren't really supposed to be there, it was just for the bonuses xD Main team is Tiki/Corrin/Robin(M)/Merric at the moment, I'll probably take off Corrin or Tiki and replace with a sword or lance user. Also I'm working on leveling up Nino to eventually replace Merric! (I got her in my last pull)

I'm feeling a bit... salty here, especially at Thomas team! Like.. you have one 5* and are far better ranked on the Arena than I am!! hahahahaha ;-;

Here is my team. Apart from 150 gems I have bought (and granted me two Julias and one Ephraim 5*), the others were luck. I rerolled like.............. 30 times to start with Ryoma and Tharja.

I just pulled a 5* Roy and a 5* CorrinM!!! I'm so excited ahah (though they are both red, all my 5* all reds so far! XD) And a 4* Nowi which is not bad at all too!

ohhh man I'm drooling over those teams! Ahhh so many 5*s, so jealous. Great job on all the pulls!

And new banner today! And so many orbs! I dunno if I wanna pull from the latest, I have 100 orbs now burning a hole in my pocket and I'm getting impatient haha. There seems to be a couple of good characters in the mix, but wanna see more feedback before I commit. And I kinda wanna see what happens when we roll into March, too? Like new quests etc, I want an idea of my resources before I splash out. (I'm a saver and planner, can you tell?)
