(and all!) I did make it to 20! First time ever. My team I'm planning for this week does have potential to keep me in tier 20 this week but I'm not going to stress about it too much. I made it and took screenshots for proof, so I'm satisfied!

Finally! I finished my Karla build. Probably the first build I've finished so far, and probably the least amount of stress I've had to deal with. Only skills I needed to inherit were Fury and Glimmer; everything else fell into place. Now I am really looking forward to building more units. Gonna be quite the challenge.

I also pulled Flying Nino last night, but she has +Res -Spd. Think it's salvageable?

Well that was strangely amuseing...I had Lloyd take out his brother in the Normal version of the GHB ( though Hardin and Summer Corrin took out everything else)

- Congrats! My team fell short and I'm back in T18. Oh well, was to be expected.

- Nice. I thought about putting fury on her, but I ended up giving her darting blow instead, gives her kind of mini-swift sparrow with her weapon skill, and no HP drop for the upcoming TT. I have no glimmer fodder at the moment, so for now she is keeping dragon gaze. Just need to give her something in her support slot to buff my arena score (too bad I already fed free Barst to someone else for reposition)

I think any 5* can be used, just make not competitively, but realistically you really need merges for the really competitive shit anyway. Unfortunately -spd means she will do less damage because of her weapon skill, but you could possibly make her flying version of reg. Nino by giving her gronnblade+, with flier buffs that will be deadly regardless of her IVs. She's still going to have 38 speed with -spd IV though (with giga Excalibur), and with swift sparrow and speed smoke she's probably not going to suffer too badly.

- Nice, way to make Lloyd useful. I had Karla kill Linus... several times. I'm trying to train her up for the arena this week, and the TT. I found a strat that lets her kill everyone on the map in lunatic mode with Gray on the team for sword valor.

I lack Gray for Sword Valor, I have the Geneology dancer instead for that. I do relate though as I have almost two teams of 5* to get to lv40.

Working on Siegbert, Lyn, and Bridal Marth ( Female Morgen is covered) and I also have a team of Bridal Sanaki, New Years Takumi, Fir, and Saias.

"repent your sins!" makes me miss "PICK A GOD AND PRAY!" so much ;o; i stayed up late to get linus right after reset, and then i promoted one & gave him a pile of skills but i'm still a lil iffy on how i want to build him... hmm. i have him camped out on the special training map with summer tiki for axe valor, he can just stock up on SP 'till i make a decision. also now that the green spot on his art has been pointed out to me -- i can't unsee it. i hope they fix that lmao

& fe16 is a spring 2019 title instead, now? i don't have a switch so this is not... really a problem for me lol but hopefully they're done delaying it, or whatever, and i really hope it's not separate games like fates was. that aside i am Feeling this art style omg i hope we get more assets like this!!

oh, okay! yeah, more merges for marth should help, esp since his base bst is way better than reinhardt's! my core is fred +10, morgan +7, and rein +6, but since rein has a miserable 145 bst my range is usually around 704-718.

i think it's on topic; next spring heroes will probably get promotional maps like it did with warriors 8) i'm hoping that now that it's been properly announced, we'll get more trailers and things? i'm a little annoyed we didn't get an english version of this page, too, but maybe my google-fu is just not up to the task, haha

- Can we please keep the FE16 talk under spoiler headers? I will join in the discussion later probably, but I (and I'm sure others) haven't seen it yet, and I'm sure some people would just prefer to be left in the dark too.

- Yeah, Nino's BST is pretty low too. But I was using 2 water blessed units and Fjorm last week. Wind wee again, I may go back to using Nowi + 2 legends. Although, with Karla we won't get Spd tactic going. I should give Green Lyn a different C skill for those situations. Hrm, didn't I just get a free Tailite? Maybe she should get drive speed instead.

- Sounds like you've got some work to do! I like using the low level GHB for grinding up units once they are high enough level, that way it doesn't eat up any stamina. Doing so with a team of multiple training units may not work as well, but even if you lose, you keep whatever EXP and SP you gain now. Lene is also good for Sword Valor, means you can double your valor and dancer slot. Having gray on the team means I'm lacking my stat buffer, but at least Ninian and Inigo are decent stat buffers on their own.

eep, thanks for the reminder! i've been poking at social media on and off all day so i completely forgot about spoiler tags ><;; & fingers crossed the shuffle helps! i always forget about blessings, i swapped reinhardt for green lyn in the arena score calculator and with the blessing bonuses, she completely covered for him even without merges :') ranged horse bst is such garbage lmao. (it's totally necessary tho lol) good point about the tactics skills too, i keep forgetting to give ike and seigbert substitute skills for when i'm not running mixed teams x;

I plan to have every unit at 5* ( not counting the spares I'll SI) though I may keep two 5* Henrys as I want to experiment with one and the Neutral IVed one has some setimental value even though I have one with better IVs.

At a simaller crossroads with F Corrin. I have one with the recomended IVs but I like my HP Boon one more as it saved afew GHBs and Arena fights for me so trying to decide weather to keep both or just keep the HP boon one I promoted.

- I wish that were an attainable goal. i'd like to complete out the hero catalog, but I'm never going to get all the seasonals etc. Not without spending way too much money. I should promote some of my GHB units. Let me know how Saias works out. (although I need another blue mage like a hole in the head, I should promote Julius or Lyon first) HP boon can be really useful. My friend has HP boon super Fae with Panic Ploy, The high HP helps to debuff units in the arena. So slap the Panic Ploy seal on her and cripple horse buff units :P

- I haven't attempted the arena yet. Probably going to go with Green lyn, Gunnthra, Nowi, and Karla. Debating giving Karla a blessing or not. I'm unlikely to use her much outside of this week's arena, and if I summon another copy with better IVs, I'm not going to want to merge her, I'm going to want to fodder her off for wrath!

Thank you! I had similar thoughts with my Karla, but decided to just use her for Wrath fodder for my Mia. And my flying Nino's Swift Sparrow already went into my Kinshi Ryoma, haha -- but he is at least kicking ass in the Arena... though he's the only one. So far my first full day in Tier 20 isn't going so well, and I've already come to terms with the fact that I'll be back in Tier 19 in less than a week, haha! Oh well. It is what it is!

I'm excited about FE16! I don't really have a lot to add because... they didn't show much, but I'm curious about the new gameplay elements and how they all come together. Hope we get more info soon!

Also finished New Mystery yesterday which was fun. The difficulty dropped off a little towards the end, as is typical, but I enjoyed it otherwise and it's a big step up from Shadow Dragon. Shame it never got a western release, bless the fan translations. I guess Binding Blade is next on the list? I'll see how satisfying it is to play on my phone and work from there.

With Heroes I don't really have much to do at the moment tbh. Spent today farming red badges in the training tower and finishing the last of the monthly quests, as I only have around 2.3k grands. The GHB was insanely easy, fliers demolished every iteration. I still need to do the Sharena and Anna quests but I'll get to then soonish.

Whenever you guys say a GHB is insanely easy, I feel so stupid, haha. I rarely, if ever, am able to figure out how to beat them on Infernal and just give up after a few tries.

Somehow, I never bothered to check the IVs on my first Karel from the Hero Fest banner last month until I got him to level 40 not too long ago. He's -HP +Atk. I was actually running around with a good Karel on one of my teams and I never noticed until now. Definitely wanna keep him around and see where I go with him. Might be a good investment.

and i wish i had dagger valor or the sense to build jaffar when i got him months ago, finishing my tempest team is taking forever ;o; but i like jaffar's voice actor, so at least i get to hear his specials while he beats up the training maps.

i feel that. even though we get extra blessings pretty often from their maps, it feels wasteful to change them out p; blessing possible/eventual fodder feels even more pointless.

- Binding blade was... meh. It was the introduction to the best FE sprites ever though. It's worth a play through at least. Just don't get attached to your thieves like I did... you can't promote them in BB.

- OMG, Jaffar took me SO LONG to get enough SP for the build I wanted. And he STILL needs more for alternate builds. Maybe I'll use him in the upcoming TT since his stats will be buffed, maybe he'll be able to kill things without all the dancer support. Yeah, I'm torn on this Karla, I've given her a decent number of skills now to bump arena score, I hope I never summon a pity breaker Karla with better IVs, so that I can fodder them off for wrath instead of this one.

- The Infernal ones are never that easy, just compared to like Ryouma? Linus was pretty easy. I had trouble with Linus as well, took a bit of finagling, especially since I wanted to use Karla mostly for the kills to give her more SP. In the end she only got 2, but I beat it, so yay? The 0 stamina has really helped me with the infernals, being able to try over and over with little modifications, without having to wait 9 hours in between really helps! I used to try like 3 maybe 4 times then would give up and go to online guides, but now I can usually come up with something.

Ohhh duh I meant Blazing Blade. My brain still has to untangle that one sometimes. I've read that going back to FE6 after is a bit more satisfying and know that 7 is a fan fave so want to see what all the fuss is about (though also realise it was many people's introductions to the series, so a little bias). I'm almost done with the Lyn chapters now, omg I can see why people whined about what they did to poor Lucius in FEH. My poor speedy light monk.

I usually avoid using thieves because they end up a liability tbh and make do with keys. I'm giving Matthew a chance, though, for now... Actually I'm kinda lying, I've used Gaius through Awakening and he turns into a crit machine and Niles and the ninjas in Fates. I think they're just a bit better in the newer games.

I've legit only got Nino and now Linus for the next TT so don't really know what I'm gonna do. Nino is great, of course, but she's gonna be blitzed if I auto because the AI cannot handle fragile characters.

good god, it's taking forever. his only saving grace is that he can clear the mixed training map by himself, p: (with dancers, i mean, but he does OHKO everything, so that's pretty painless.)

all i wanted is the jokey Big Chip set and jaffar's almost done with his ABC skills but then he still needs his dagger refine AND an aoe special i gave him for maximum nonsense (though, it's not for the tempest, he's keeping glimmer for that)....... so he still needs like, another thousand sp. if he's not able to kill things by himself in the tempest, i am going to riot lmao

- Ah, yes, FE7 is a great game, pretty solid story, good characterization, and the afformentioned best sprites in FE history. The GBA sprites were the best. Promote Rath, give him a Killing Edge and have fun laughing your ass off. It was my introduction to the game, but it was too hard for 12 year old me, so I never finished it until university after playing through PoR and RD with my room mates. Yeah, Lucius should have been more like Michaiah, who is also a light mage. He's actually not a great healer in 7 cus his magic stat is kinda low. In 7 you can promote the thieves, but there's not much point, they can't steal after, and you don't get the item to promote them until after you have Jaffar, and just use Jaffar if you want an assassin, he's better than both of the others. I always use Matthew, cus I love Matthew, but you kinda have to in order to open chests and steal stuff, you don't get Legault until pretty late, he's better than Matthew, but Matthew will probably be higher level than him at that point.

I'll probably use Karel cus he needs more SP. Nino's great, but you are right, she's too frail, and also with fury she'll just die way too fast on AB. Jaffar will probably stay on my secondary team for if the main team dies. You'll get Canas for battling the TT, you could use him too. He's pretty tank mage (needs nosferatu).

- It really does. I finally got him with poison strike 3, savage blow 3, and Growing Wind, and refined anti-mage counter as of last TT, but I got him on the legendary banner in February. At least now he has the added benefit of if he dies he keeps his SP.
