I haven't played Pokemon Go in a while, but I have a feeling the servers might crash again like they did when it first opened with everyone rushing to see the new stuff. Subeta may be more reliable for doing things.
It is really cute. I like the other minions as well, and the books.
[edit]Omg these new plushies, the combination of sweetheart and graveyard is F A N T A S T I C
I feel you! There are lots of cool and pretty things in the ocean but it can also kill you dead in like a million different ways, hahah.
I am so excited for all of these thiiiings. Books! Stickers! Pretty wearables!

It is going to start right when I have to cook, I just know it,lol. I am so ready.
My hypothesis is for a bug themed year. There are a number of bug items going into the item directory at the moment. Looks like they finished with Louis' shop and are now on the Den.
[edit]
Oh, bug theme is a good theory. We haven't really had any infections like that except for a couple of the vial strains kinda.
[edit] Ugh right, I saw that and my immediate thought was just nope nope NOPE
Good call: there are quite a few bug themed items. Well, bug-zombies could be pretty cool!

Those Cocoon Fascinators are so pretty!
I love Bugs! Bring it on :)
I was vacationing with my family over the holidays and actually saw some real life botfly infestations in Howler Monkeys. In panama, it's actually one of the top killers of howler monkeys who basically have no other major predators. It was disgusting, and I was trying my best to purge the memories from my brain.
Really, really don't want a botfly infection.
Aw :(
Maybe you should reconsider getting a random strain first then, just in case. ;~;
Yep. That was definitely running through my head. If I can discern from the names what might be the culprit, I'll go for a new and try to avoid. If it looks to be too risky, then I'll go for old. I mean, not the end of the world- I'm skilled at covering my HA. But ugh so gross.
Yeah, good call. Anything that has something like "burrowing" or similar in the description may be an avoid at all costs sign.
On the bright side, the bug egg wearables are beautiful! :o
all the cute and horrifying bug items!!! if we really do get bug strains this year, then i'm going to be thrilled. i love buggos so much.
Can you change your strain or do you have to keep the first one you get? Or can you change it but it is cost CSC? Anything I need to know before diving into the holiday?
-shudders- parasites and bugs are such a nightmare for me but I'd LOVE to see infections based off bugs.

I'm really hoping it is bugs now too. I think the theory is a good one, because if I remember last year there were quite a few plant-related things in the zombie den and the theme was plants & fungus. So it would be consistent I think.
I don't remember exactly, but I thought there was a way to change your mind while it's still in the first few stages. But you don't have to get one of this year's new infections right away. If there's an older strain you want, you can go for one of those first while you wait to see what the new ones look like before deciding if you want one of those.
Getting a random strain of any kind is cheapest, and the oldest infections are more expensive, but it's worth it if you only want certain strains.
If this year is anything like last, you can choose strains (or go for completely random.) You won't be able to cure whatever you get til it progresses to the final stage and you remove the skin in the wardrobe. There should theoretically be time for more than one strain.
Oh man, I definitely do not want to go random then, thank you so much! I am unlucky when it comes to random so I would probably end up with the one I like the least. Although random does seem like it would be more fun. Idk which way I want to do it. I guess if there is one that I really really like most then I will pick and if not then I will do random. EDIT Oh dang so we will not even know what they look like until people start getting into the final stage? That sounds interesting! Now I am more excited, lol.
Yeah, we get to watch the new ones progress together and see what they end up being, it's pretty fun! We usually even vote kind of as a group on the names for the new strains and staff will usually pick one of the more popular names for each.
[edit]And yeah, for the past couple of years the event has been long enough to get at least 3 or 4 strains if you time it right.
