I just wanted to make a post about how excited I am for Survival this year! The zombie skins are all so weirdly beautiful and I can't wait to watch the new ones unfold this year. :D

I joined right before Survival last year, after years away from the site, and I managed to get as many skins as was possible but now I have to go through that all again! The wardrobe doesn't show the skins anymore aside from the greyed-out ones, but I know I'd like to get Bindi Bite, Boobitis, and maybe...Death Slug? (Unless that's a weird zapper skin haha.)

I've been watching The Walking Dead with my boyfriend (who recently joined Subeta) so I am definitely in the zombie mindset. We're halfway through season 5 and will probably finish what's on Netflix before Masquerade rolls around...I wonder if there's another excellent show that would get me similarly pumped for Masquerade? Lol!

I think it's quite obvious I am a zombie fan, lol Survival is my favorite holiday, i joined during it in 2015! I hope we get the infection program again this year, I'm also aiming for bindi bite and boobitis, and super excited to see new strains~ (death slug is a survival skin, yes)

Another thing that I love during survival is to see people working with their zombie skins, we don't see them around the rest of the year and it's really nice to see a whole zombie community ;u;

I'm soo excited for survival. My first survival was in 2012 and it was the last year of the old way of getting zombie skins... I held onto my skin until skins became redeemable and the zombie system changed. I knew all the tricks and tips for covering up and looking like a normal human so it was really weird being able to safely take my Blistered Hearts off for the first time.

But I love the new system and I love being able to get the one I want, guaranteed. If it's the same way as last time, I'm starting off with Crack Head or something old this year, because I like seeing how the new skins final stage will look before I get it. Boobitis was one I got last year and I was really happy about it :)

I also love the new items this holiday has to offer. I love both pink/cute/lovey things, and the zombie items. I'm starting to think about survival every day and can't wait to see what the new items will be. I'm almost desperately hoping for some more recolors of + like basic colors, black and white... I want to use these items so often but the recolor palettes are limited.

I am very excited for this year's celebration! However I do hope that we get some new story or something interactive :) I also love seeing how people use the skins with their outfits!

Is this a Survival year or not? I thought we were doing an every-other-year thing. I really hope it's on this year though! I really enjoy the freak-out every year when it starts, lmao.

My pet Zay collects Zombie related things and I always love the new items so I can add them to her tc. I still have a lot missing from Skitters, but that's alright! On the flip side I also love Louis' shop and collecting everything from it!

My first Pandemic was back in 2012 and I was so ready to be a zombie. I got Lobster Face/Rosacea, which was entirely random back then and as such it will always be my favourite strain. I loved becoming a giant rose. I can remember later on covering my virus up to try and "blend in" with the "living" haha, I was wayyyy too attached to have it removed though. Now that we can just take our skins off I love collecting them. I think I love the element of surprise so I'm going to pick a new strain this year and hopefully get something awesome! Afterwards I'll work on other strains, I know i want to get Blistered Hearts for sure!

Yes, but at one point staff said there wouldn't be a pandemic/skins every single year.

I don't remember them saying that, but even if they did we've gotten new skins every year for a while now.

There was that one year where we got the drinkable vials instead of permanent skins, but still. There's not always a plot or anything associated with the holiday but we at least get new items and the usual things to do.

For the past couple of years, we've been able to get old zombie strains again as well so that's been nice.

Huh. Maybe I'm thinking of something else then. With that said...OMG ZOMBIE TIME IS COMING YAAAAAAAY!!!

I'm excited for new items, but I don't know if I will be getting a skin this year though. I might just be a dedicated Bindi Bite and Blistered Hearts biter, so I'm looking forward to my making my own thread for it. :D

Hey I noticed you wrote about old way of skins can you please explain to me because I been away for awhile. So you can get more then one skin now? I had butterfly's way back when. Thanks

The old way zombie skins worked, was when your skin matured, there were three choices: keep the skin forever, take a cure to stop being a zombie (removes skin forever), and be re-bitten to become a different zombie (may have had to cure first). Anyway it was basically that you were either a zombie or a human.

Then in 2014 the wardrobe was upgraded and we were allowed to start collecting skins. Now during survival when your skin matures, you can unlock it in the wardrobe, take it off, and get a different zombie skin. After survival you can put the skin back on at any time. This is also the same for zapping your HA during morostide, you collect skins then too.

To look at your skins, open your wardrobe, and at the top of the page one of the options is "Skins". Grayed out skins are ones you don't have yet.

Arhhhh that's awesome so I'm not stuck anymore. I've only been back a few days and I didn't know what happened to my zombie skin so just went with it. Thanks for replying.

if you had your zombie skin on before your hiatus and didn't cure it, and didn't redeem it in the wardrobe yet or you see that it's still grayed out, you should file a ticket and see if it can be awarded to you. :)

I got my Butterfly Bruise and I like some of the new ones they have too.

I'm so ready for this. I'm already dressed up and can't wait to see what Subeta has in store this year. Plot pleasssssse. :)

I'm already excited, and I shouldn't be because it's still two weeks away! I'm not normally into zombies at all, but I love seeing the new strains progress and all the new items. I've already been planning out which strains to go for: Lovebug and Angler are at the top of the list, an I'll wait and see if anything else grabs me.

If we get new virus strains I am going to get a random infection just like last year. I like the surprise. Besides I am excited for new items and of course pets.

Survival is the best holiday! Last year I was one of the first blood rush zombies and it was so fun watching me begin to... ooze. I'll pick another random strain this year, too, if there are any.
