Thanks for the well wishes for my dad. They just found another source for the problem and he might have surgery. I hope this is the last thing they find and it fixes him. He really wants to come home.

Hi all. Enjoying this rainy day. Brought the temps down and anytime that happens I'm happy!

Hope they can heal your Dad! I would like the Woven Gloomy Serpentine Tail. Found out my kidney function is perm at 50% or 60% since the hospital and that upsets me, but my Dr says that its about maintaining at this point and I'm doing well at that, so that is good. Feeling pretty good overall except for some lightheadedness that I wish would go away. Glad you're doing ok. Feeling any better? Hope the leg is better and everything else with it. How is your husband?

Dad might be another week in the hospital. They are trying to pin down the infection and it seems to be trying to hide. He is awake and coherent enough to be bored though and they are getting a handle on the pain level. I have got a huge migraine today and we are getting a garden plan together to do planting tomorrow, well for dmy's family to do planting for us.

Congrats on the grandbaby!!

Lots has happened since I last posted x) On Thursday, Debbie, Mom and I went some other people to the county animal shelter and put together beds that were donated. Debbie and I, between the two of us, built at least 34 of the 70-80 beds xD We were on a ROLL!

Yesterday Andrew and I went to our very first Comicon. It was amazing, and we got a few prints and a couple t-shirts x) My shirt is Deadpool sitting the Game of Thrones Iron Throne with a sword and his foot on Dearth Vader's head. Underneath it says "The Game is Over"....I had to have it, lol. Also got a picture with Jim Butcher after he signed some books. Andrew got the same but with Pierce Brown. Also met John de Lancie and got his autograph. I can't wait for the next one...will definitely be going back for more than one day, though.

I'm really enjoying the Switch so far. I wasn't sure it was worth buying at first, but I'm really glad I did. The Mario Kart game is a lot of fun with friends and Zelda is really great. The world is huge and I like a lot of the new elements they brought into the game. The only thing I miss is that there are not really temples anymore, but there are still plenty of puzzles and things to battle. I've spent HOURS just exploring everything and I think there is probably still a lot I have missed. There are a lot of nooks and crannies. I'd recommend it. The only downside is that the games are taking some time to get made. I have seen a new Harvest Moon will come out for it, which I'm really excited about. There's also supposed to be a new Mario around Christmas time and a Splatoon. I've never played Splatoon, but I'm thinking of getting it for the Switch anyways. I'd still love to see a Super Smash Brothers and part of me would also love a new Donkey Kong. :) I've not actually taken my switch anywhere. I just use it on the TV at home like a normal console. I'm not really sure how I feel about the whole portability part of the system, but it's a nice idea and kind of nice to have I guess.

That really helps! I am surprised there are not really temples in the Zelda games...temples are like a series staple in my mind xD Still, I love Zelda and Mario, just not sure on a whole new system since the Wii controller actually hurts my hand a little with the Metroid game I have. I haven't gotten past the first boss because of it :( My hand keeps cramping xD

I hope they go to one near you one day! This year I only really went for some of the authors, and just to see the fun trinkets and variety of booths. So much stuff!

I think I'm doing better-ish. Lots of coughing yet and I have no voice atm (or it's super croaky and disappears a lot). I slept nearly all of yesterday though so I clearly needed it. My taste buds are all out of whack too which is so weird. Super sensitive to salt and sugar and I'll start eating something and after a few bites I'm just over it. Don't know if it's the drugs or just being sick that is doing that. Possibly both. It's just so strange since it's been so long since I've been this kind of sick. Probably not a bad thing to not want to eat much :D maybe I'll lose some weight and get into a habit of eating less. lol Just need to make myself drink stuff and stay hydrated. I tend to forget that.

Dad's situation seems to be ever changing and evolving. Sigh. We don't know, but he seems better. We got the garden planted and the sandbox weeded.

I miss the temples too. They've got four of these things called divine beasts which act a bit like temples. There's just not the overwhelming amount of temples that there have been in the past and I miss that themed element like the water temple, temple of time, etc. I was skeptical of a lot of things at first, but it's really grown on me. I've been okay with the controller so far. It reminds me a bit of N64, but the more modern version. My boyfriend found the one it came with to be a little small for him so he bought a bigger thing to hold the little joycons so his hands felt comfier. You can break them into the teeny tiny halves if you want, but so far that option has only been used for Mario Kart, which was weird at first, but worked out okay. It was nice to get two controllers for the price of one.

Being able to modify the controller a bit sounds amazing! I might have to think about it. I rarely play my Wii as it is x) I have more Gamecube games for it than Wii games right now, lol. Though admittedly, that might be because of the controller.

Morning Everyone! Sorry I haven't been too active on the forums, I've just been keeping myself busy offline a bit. :D We've been going bike-riding a few times a week, and I'm really enjoying that. I've got camp orientation this weekend (not that it's useful anymore, but get to meet the new people coming in I s'pose). Then getting my hair cut on Sunday. It needs about 6 or 7 inches off. I honestly didn't realize it had gotten so long, but it's a pain for camp when it's long, so it needs to go. Next weekend my kids have little graduations (preschool for the twins and 5th grade for the older one) so I'll be a little busy with that. I'm still around a lot though, especially throughout the day during the week until camp starts. No promises after that, but I'm usually popping in during the evenings during the summer. :D I hope everyone is going good!

My dad was moved to a rehabilitation facility yesterday so that means they think he is getting better too. He still might need surgery. There are still a lot of unknowns.
