I keep meaning to read the prequel trilogy too, but keep forgetting. Have you read that and is it good? And yeah, the show is pretty good. It gets lots of hate from those hardcore book fans a bit, but it is doing pretty well, I think. Malec <3 lol I actually liked the movie. I own it. blushes I feel like I am one of the few people who do, lmao. I can see why people don't like it though. But it was ok. I like the actors in the show a lot more, so that really helps. I didn't like the tv show Clary at first, but she's grown on me.

- Sorry I badmouthed the movie! It's just I remember watching it and them leaving out so many details that if you hadn't read the book you wouldn't know what the hell was going on (I of course had read the book so I know, but others wouldn't). I think that was the biggest complaint I had. I will have to check the show out when I get a chance!

Oh, psh, don't be! I am fully capable of accepting other's opinions. lol Don't worry. ^_^ I do get that though. It can be super annoying when they change soooo much. I like to look at movies and shows based off books as their own thing, if I can. With Eragon, when I first watched it I was so mad they basically destroyed the book, but after watching it more times it was actually a decent film on it's own. It's hard not to connect the two things, but it makes viewing more pleasant. lol

- Oh trust me, I'll speak my mind about the movie. XD I don't think it's that they changed so much from the book, I think there were just a lot of details that made it flow that were good. Like, if I had never read the book, I feel like the movie would have been incredibly hard to follow and understand. I mean, I get that they change the movies sometimes (they did it with the Divergent series I just started thinking of them as separate entities). I haven't read Eragon yet; it's sitting on the shelf in the 'to read' section. :D Though, I didn't know there was a movie.. so I'll have to look for that after I read it. Speaking of.. could you watch the Vampire Academy movie? I couldn't even get through that one either.

The Eragon books are very good, for sure. Just be cautious when watching the movie after, haha. I didn't actually read the Divergent books, but I did like the movies. Sad they'll never make the last movie. And I did watch the VA movie, lol. It was pretty bad. xD

- The VA was so so bad.. it was very hokey and I felt like the books were much more serious, so they just didn't go together. How many books are in the Eragon series? I know there's a few. The Divergent books are good, though honestly, the final ending sucks, but I enjoyed reading the entire thing. It's just like.. the ending is kinda like.. really? All that for this? Ah well. You should read them sometime! I really enjoyed them. Have you read the Maze Runner series? Oh, I forgot to say, but I haven't read the prequel to the Mortal Instruments series, but a few of my friends have, and said it is wonderful!

Pretty sure it was only 3? Although, a 4th one may have come out...I can't remember. lol The first couple were better, imo. And my mom actually told me who dies in the end of Divergent since she read them and uggghhhh noooo. T_T I haven't read those either, actually. Love the movies. haha I watch too many movies, apparently.

- Oh good, not too long of a series! I warn you, the Allie Beckstrom series I told you about is like nine book or something like that.. It's not even that fact that she died that gets to me (like it would have totally been okay) but it's the WAY she died. It's like... she did the thing that shouldn't be possible and then died anyway. It's like.. why didn't you just let her die the way everyone figured she would have? It would've been better. Sorry. I'm very bitter about that. I'm even more bitter because I was like 50 pages from the end of it and my friend goes 'hey, you know she dies at the end, right?'! I mean.. you kind of suspect it anyway, but it was like.. could you not have just let me finish?! Would've taken like half an hour man. Oh, you should read them too! I've only seen the first movie, but I thought it did the book justice. I still need to see the second movie! Is the third out? Lol I'm actually really bad at watching movies. There's soo many out there I want to see, but never get around to half of them. My favorite is Inception. Like, I've seen it so many times and I still take something new away from it every time.

Omg SO much better. I thought the tv show was a bit simplistic and just didn't do the books much justice. But yeah, it starts out a bit slow. It feels a bit odd, different. I really had to get into the first book at first, the writing style, the pace.. but it pays off. Once it gets really rolling it really gets rolling. I had trouble putting them down. lol

Oh yeah I love The Mortal Instruments too. I have read 1-5 of the series, I have so many books on my shelves yet to read I never get to goinfg to the library to get the 6th haha. I love Shadowhunters too. Magnus and Jace are hot! lol

And you're not alone! I really liked the movie too! But just like you I like the tv show and its characters/actors a lot better. And also the same, I had to get a lil adjusted to the tv show Clary, but now I like her. hehe

Welcome to the group!

Typically, I read older books more than newer ones... I prefer pre-1930's literature... And also a lot of French stuff... For the time being, though, I've given myself a rule that I can only read in German, sooo... Random German books. :P

Mornin' KSrs

We is here in NJ. Drive yesterday was very long. Weather was lovely but I did not get much sleep, which would have been okay normally but I also hadn't gotten much sleep the night before so drove 9 hours on 5 1/2 hours sleep over the previous 48 hours. And driving makes me sleepy to begin with. The first couple hours I so could have gotten us in an accident. We stopped before even getting out of Ohio and I got an energy drink which I don't normally drink. It did seem to help some. Still tired but not on the edge of just closing my eyes. Completely slept last night - 7 hours straight and then dosed for another couple.

Thank you to everyone that has given me flowers for coins! Not sure I'll have time to return the generosity but I'll try. Computer is slower and the connection is slower here so everything takes longer - along with having less time to play this week with so much that needs to get done here.

Thank you again and for the flowers for Maxi's TC! Made a good dent into all the new one she needs. ❤

So sorry you are having to have another surgery. Sending healing hugs and I hope this time it all heals well and the way it's supposed to!

The bouquets... I am torn. I want them, but I don't want to raid my collection and patience is not my virtue. Sniffle. And they are lovely wearables. And how did all you Ks people get so lovely today? Wow. Hearts hearts. Slept in this morning and am a little scattered in the head. It is rainy here.

major props on the lovely pink HA.

hope you can catch up on some sleep. Glad you made it safe.

luck and love to you.

oh my goodness my reading list so backlogged I have all those books to read on that list, but it is literally over 2000 books long and I am such a slow reader and then people keep writing new books. Same thing with my movie list really. Life does not have enough time for all the good stuff in it. Need to get to the theater soon and see Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Must see in theater.

I don't mind some series' with tons of books. Like Morganville Vampires has like almost 20 or something, lol. Sometimes it's ok, but sometimes it's like omg just end already. And yeah, the third is out, but they split book 3 into two movies, but since part 1 didn't do well, they aren't making part 2. Rude. But apparently they are thinking of rebooting it as a tv show, I think.

Oh that's good to hear then. Thought it was just me, lol. I will definitely get to reading them soon. Magnus and Jace are hot! lol xD Yayyyy another movie fan! <3 hehe

2000 books?? Holy crap, that's a lot. I am a pretty slow reader now too. I used to read sooo much when I was younger, but ever since I got bad depression and dropped out of highschool I lost a lot of interest to read, sadly. It takes a verrrryyy good book to get me to read these days. :/ I want to see Guardians 2 so bad, omg. Baby Groot is my new fave thing ever. haha I hardly ever get to go to the theater since we are usually pretty broke, but since my bday is next month I get to go see a movie. Yay lol

Lol I hear ya! I am like that with tv shows too, there's just too many to watch! And movies yes, aaak. As for books we now have a Little Free Library (is that what they're called?) down by the heath where I always walk my dogs and I've gotten a lot of "new" books from that. My bookshelves at home are seriously overflowing. I don't think I'll ever catch up on my books haha. I read slow these days. I want to savor the stories. Curently I'm reading A Time of Torment, by John Connolly. It's a Charlie Parker thriller, I have all of them this is the latest. They are SO good. After that I will re-read the (I think it is called) The Graveyard Queen series by Amanda Stevens. I already have books 1-3, I saw and bought book 5 in the store last week so I had to order book 4 online of course hehe. It's about a woman who restores cemetaries and can see the dead. She usually gets tangled up in a mystery or murder case somehow.

Mornin' All! I'll be around off and on all day as I pack and clean out the car to head to the beach tomorrow morning. I probably won't get on much when I'm gone, so I'll be back on Tues and will be on then.

- I don't mind long ones either, but sometimes I like to read stand-alones or smaller series so I don't get too distracted (i.e. if exams are coming or something). I've yet to read the Morganville Vampires, but it's on my list once I can track some down! I love having hard copies of stuff, but sometimes they're so expensive! We have a used book store here that I get a lot of some of the older books from when I want to fill in a big series or something. Otherwise, I buy from Amazon or Barnes and Noble when I REALLY want a book and don't want to wait for it to come in the mail. XD I'm kinda mad they aren't going to do the 4th movie. Like, the little asses should've just put the last book into one movie instead of trying to be like the other big series, because it was never as big as the hunger games, twilight, or HP.

- I'm glad you guys got there safely! hugs

- 2000? Oh my lord. I have 20-30 books laying around on my overflowing bookshelves to read, and then my list, but definitely not 2000 on it! :D I can't wait until we move and I can get more bookshelves because we'll have more room. Right now I've just got the one, and then the shelves on my headboard that I filled up.

Mornin' (barely) KSrs

It's hot here. Area will be in the upper 80s here and in the 90s just a mile or so inland for the next three days. Ugh. Have not been doing much today yet. Have a mild headache. Will unpack my stuff and maybe clean something later on. Exciting. :)

I'm the same on the bouquets. I'm torn. I'll probably make a few, the ones I like best, and then leave the rest for when I think I need one for an avatar.

Hope you have a safe trip and have a wonderful time at the beach!
