not a mom but did make waffles for my mom.
I am very susceptible to plant defenses and pollen so basically no help with yard work. With book to show or movie adaptations I treat it like a parallel world so I don't get as upset. Reading comic books probably helped with that.
Reid is my favorite too. I stopped watching the show when he got hooked on pain meds after torture and just got back into watching it.
Going have a mother's day dinner with dmy tonight at her restaurant with mom. Got all the planting done yesterday. My mattress is really comfy. Oh, and excuse the wetness of this post... I am drooling over the new Vesnali items.
Yeah, Blood Ties was good, too! So sad that all the good ones get cancelled... I loved the UK Being Human, but when the vampire left the show, it got so weird... I quit watching it entirely when the werewolf left, too. And I dunno... The US version did a bit better with their version, since nobody important left like that, but then I dunno... I got annoyed with it over something (don't remember what), and I haven't watched that one in ages either... I should really make a point of getting up-to-date with it, though...
And yeah, Reid in prison was kind of heartbreaking, but it's still totally worth watching!!!
Oh man, I don't know how I'd survive being sensitive to so much of nature! I love being outside...

That was not too long ago for me, actually. I hated that. I was really hoping he wouldn't get hooked, but it only lasted like one more episode and then was never mentioned again, lol. So idk.
Ahhh yeah, the UK one was a bit weird after the main cast left. Took me a while to watch the final seasons, but I actually ended up liking the new trio. Hal and Tom are both cuties. Just saying. haha The US one was better, imo. The end was so sad though T-T
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!
New to the group :) Thank you for letting me know about it. Happy Mother's day to all!!
For formality sake you need to join the ping group https://subeta.net/forums.php/groups/#/group/6422 there. Also need to fill in the form on the first page. Known you for years though so shouldn't be a problem getting in.
Forgot to say Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and stepmoms and moms without the formal titles.
Evenin' Everyone :D We've had a pretty relaxing weekend, nothing too exciting. We did rent the Fantastic Beasts movie, it was great! On Thursday I head to visit the grandparents in Myrtle Beach, and I'll be gone until the following Tuesday, so probably won't pop on much. :D
- Happy Mother's Day, Mama! smushes
& - What types of books do you two like to read? Since we seem to like some of the same shows!
I atually tend to read "younger" books like young adult, and stuff. I can never get into those "adult" series'. lol Some examples: The Morganville Vampires, The Mediator series, Twilight (yes...I loved those books, haha), books by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, the Modern Faerie Tale series (Tithe is probably my favorite book, or at least top 3), The Lunar Chronicles, books by Sarah Dessen, the House of Night series....just a lot of fantasy mixed with romance, I guess? lol I have the first 3 books of The Sword of Truth series, but I haven't read them yet. I LOVED Legend of The Seeker. One of my fave shows...and it was also canceled. lol What about you?
- Oh no worries, I still read the young adult books too! They're so much better in my opinion! I've read one adult series, but it has minimal 'adult content' and was actually really good (it was called the Allie Beckstrom series, if you're interested and is centered around magic basically). However, I haven't actually heard of most of the ones you just named, which just means I have some stuff to look up! :D I used to read a lot of paranormal romance (used to be a genre, dunno if it still is). Things like.. the Hush, Hush saga, The Wolves of Mercy Falls, the Vampire Academy series, etc. I LOVED the Maximum Ride series when I was younger (was actually the first thing I read that wasn't a try kids book). I also read a lot of like.. post-apocalyptic stuff... like the Hunger Games, Divergent (the bigger ones obviously).. but also a lot of smaller series kinda like those I'd have to go pull off the bookshelf to name. I also was a big fan of the Twilight series (though I originally refused to read them because they were the 'in' series at the time). Ooh, the Mortal Instruments were good, been a while since I read those though, loved them back then.
Evenin' Ksrs
Poppin' in to say heading to NJ in the morning. Likely will have internet set up in the evening but maybe not until Tuesday.
Frustrated that Vesnali started today. Little time today with prepping for the trip to do much on the site to get flowers, no real time tomorrow. Not sure the rest of the week. Figured it would start near the end of the week.
Hiya. Welcome to KS. I went ahead and let you in the ping group. If you would, as gry mentioned, please fill out and post the application in the opening post to this thread. No need to ping the staff though, it's more just a formality. Take a look around the cult forums and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” - Benjamin Franklin
"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the orphan." - Isaiah 10:1-2
Sword of Truth is one of my favorite fantasy book series! I have them all including the new series. You should definitely read them because they're far better than the tv series. <3
welcome to the group :)

Hi all! Hope all the mothers had a wonderful Mother's Day and everyone else had a great day. I went to my parents and my son grilled chicken, corn on the cob, and potatoes. Yummm. My brother had to work but he dropped off roses for my mother and me. Very pretty. It was really nice being with my family. I enjoyed it and wish I could go more often. But without a car its difficult. Sigh.
I have a lot of flowers. Does anyone need help? Let me know.
Welcome. Sent you a bunch of flowers. Hope that helps!
Thank you for the warm welcomes :) Just got the hubby off to work and got the plants watered outside now a little play time before I do housework!!!
well, just got back from the doc. my wound popped open. he said it healed on the outside and not on the inside so I have to go back in for surgery again tomorrow. I'll be back as soon as I can

oh no no no. So sorry. Heal better this time.
Glad you had such a nice family day.
there are some games in the two subforums if you want to play also a guide to events. They are on the main forum page if you scroll down under the "social scene" in the kindred spirits area.
Tired today. Reading the Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith finally. Almost half done. Just started watching Sword Art Online which is pretty cool. I am not a binge watcher. I take forever to watch a series. Got caught up doing a flower event things for CWs so most of my flowers right now are going there. Try to pay you all back when I can and sprinkle flowers on those who need it. Will put Jersey and Slippy on the need flowers list if that is ok.
Thank you for the info :) Just rest and read and enjoy your day. That's what I'm doing , taking an easy day.
Ooh, I love magic stuff. I'll check it out. Oh, I loved the Vampire Academy series! I read the first trilogy of The Mortal Instruments and it was supposed to end, so I never read the second trilogy, lol. I like the show too, Shadowhunters. It's pretty good.
It's better than the series? Hmmm, I will try and get to them soon then. I actually started the first book, but found it a tad slow. Did it start out like that for you, or is it just me? lol
- Oh yeah, I forgot it was only supposed to be a trilogy (I had honestly just looked over at my bookshelf when I was naming stuff). The first three were great, then the others just shouldn't have happened. I only made it through the 4th & 5th. I have the 6th, but I haven't ever gotten around to reading it. I keep hearing the show is good, so I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and watch it! A few years back when there was a movie, it was horrible, so I have been weary of the show.
- Welcome to KS! It's nice to meet you! :D
- Oh my! I hope this surgery goes smoothly and that you heal very nicely after! sends good vibes
