Hi. I have been a bad bad non-poster. Dad has been needing lots of care because vallium is very powerful, but I guess needed. He is seeing a new doctor soonish so... I might also have a cold. Loki seems to be liking his new twice the size cage now. He is being cleaner too. Celebrating new years by going to sleep before ten.

Popping in before heading off to the warmth of my blanket and heating pad (overnight low -7 and a windchill advisory until noon - brrr).

Wanting to wish KSrs and any lurking subetan a new year of peace and prosperity and joy!

Those painkillers need to be really watched! My mom got seriously loopy (I'm thinking loopy is not a technical term) on the strongest ones she was on and we got her off them asap and then on the lower form she was functional again. Hope the new doctor can help so he can get off the stronger pain meds! Remember to take care of yourself!

I tried to sleep on new years eve but people decided to set off illegal fireworks that sounded like cannons until two in the morning. Grr. The Doctor Who Christmas episode was very touching. Dad hasn't seen the doctor yet but has agreed to cut back on the loopy med a bit.

I had a wonderful evening w/ a long time friend and my younger brother, who is the complete opposite of my older brother and made me feel good about myself instead of the opposite. He always has been kinder and more patient and I'm glad he's back up here from TN for awhile. Definitely hungover the next day but it was worth it. :D

These temps though... I woke up for work this morning and it was -8. I keep my thermostat on 66-67 b/c my heating unit is expensive to run, plus my daughter runs a space heater in her room b/c the vent up there doesn't work. I currently have 7 candles burning in my living room - all the large ones in glass containers, and it's still so chilly in here. I'm just tired of being cold.

I was shocked at how many crystals you have. That must've taken some time! I haven't been that invested in it since I've rarely seen anything I wanted. I think the first day at the Free Shop was the best for me, and it's been progressively getting worse. I got the wish had been on my WL for some time and was around 20ml sP (b/c Six was black and I just wanted it for my gallery)... but anything you get from there that once had some value is now, in this case, 1ml.

Haven't quested yet... still had nearly 300 tokens from last year and oh boy do I love their new stuff!!

I don't see how anyone has the patience to teach kids these days. I've seen enough, raising 2 daughters, to know that the majority of their problems comes from within the family, and not always just from the parents.

I saw that you got a Shinigami from the Free Shop and I wanted to say (again) that I'm so happy for you!! That's one hell of a find! Hope you were able to celebrate w/ hubby and fur babies for the New Year and that your new year be so much better than the last.

lol nose has been doing better... just runny in the beginning which is so typical anymore that it's just normal.
And hey... don't rub it in about the temps. :P J/K I know has it way worse waaay up there but I gotta think that they're more adapted to those temps. We haven't had this cold of a winter here in a long time, and even then, it's not normal or it doesn't last beyond a week or so.

I know, but I also believe you can't erase school's experience as part of that. even though their early years were spent mostly with the family, after that they spend long hours at school. Thank you! It truly was nice here. Glad to hear yours was great.
