Sorry about the delay getting back. I just got back to Austria on Sunday and have been working and recovering from jetlag since then. My brother started having the seizures in May that we know of. He has them because he is a heavy drinker and when he tries to quit and go cold turkey he starts having seizures. So, he must have felt the Christmas spirit or something and decided not to drink....or he had run out. It's hard to tell with him. We are trying to get him to stay away from the alcohol since he spent a week detoxing so is technically off of it at the moment, but he isn't really ready to quit yet so he keeps going back to it. The only thing keeping him off of it at the moment is that he has no money to buy anything and thankfully he's not thought about going down other roads to get money besides actually earning it. It's been really frustrating especially since from the outside when you don't have an addiction it seems like it should be so easy to quit, but I know it's not. I feel a little guilty, but part of me is happy to be back in Austria just to remove myself from the situation and because I tend to cause more problems by needing to do something or say my opinion and that's not always the best thing.

Anyways, I didn't mean to get stuck so long on a kind of depressing topic. How are you?

well it's in the 30's today, big drop in temp and wind gusts up to 40 mph. makes it feel like its in the teens. brrrrrrrr

Fell asleep about 12:30am and woke up at 4am. Stopped trying to go back to sleep before 5am. Spent the day exhausted and wired at the same time. Had computer issues so this is my first time popping in today. Spent the day putting away some Christmas stuff. Still have more but I can only stay scrunched in the crawl space so long. Took down the rest of the outside lights since they thawed overnight. Was not sure they would. Did laundry. I feel like I did something else but honestly I can't recall.

Forecast is for a tenth of an inch of ice and 3 to 6 inches of snow. Big difference from the other day. I'd rather have a little more snow and no ice. I just hope we don't get more than that tenth of an inch.

I've been back since Sunday. And this has felt like a really long weekXD

For my main laptop there seems to be a problem with the motherboard so I can't just fix it. Hopefully when I move I'll be getting a new computer.

I didn't think it was depressing but I'm sorry that everyone has to go through that. And you're right - pretty much no one understands addiction. Can totally understand why you would want to be removed from the situation and no one can blame you for that. It's the crappy time of year here and we're about to get hit w/ a good amount of snow and throw in some ice into the mix and hey... I'm just glad it's Friday and I'm already stocked up on what I need. :P

What's got your sleep so messed up?
I still haven't taken down Xmas stuff just b/c I know when I do, it will look even more dark and dreary than it already has. I mean those warm days were nice but next week we're getting back into below freezing and I'm already sick of being so cold. :(

Got to stay home and work today since I've got a pretty decent supervisor which is a good thing b/c I seriously don't know how they're going to treat the roads when it's continuously raining and then shifting over to the freezing stuff. All treatments are just going to melt. My dad has to drive out in it for work from 2-11 and I'm just too worried about the whole situation. I know he's an exceptional driver but when you meet w/ the other idiots that think they have to be out for no good reason, that's when SHTF.

Ugh. Hope everyone that's been sick is getting better.

So did something incredibly stupid this morning. Woke up and my eyes were dry and reached for my eye drops and grabbed my nasal spray instead. Half asleep, I got it in both eyes before I noticed. Rinsed with water, called poison control, rinsed with tepid water again for 20 minutes or so, laid with a cold compress on my eyes for 40 minutes. All seems okay. They called back after an hour or so after I stopped the compress and said as long as my vision isn't blurry and there is no pain I just need to rest and let my eyes heal. Hopefully it will be fine. So incredibly stupid. Nasal spray is back in the bathroom so I don't grab it again when I'm half asleep. Have a pretty good headache atm but I think the panic and stress has created that.

Who knows. Stress, weight, age, all of the above. My average night's sleep is 5ish hours. More or less occasionally with some night's being nearly nothing.

Glad you can work from home today. I think the evening commute is going to be terrible. Just in the heavy rain this morning there were a ton of accidents around here this morning. Our schools are having early dismissal, though some area schools are still not closing early.

Welcome back. :) That is the one problem with laptops, so much can't just simply be replaced. How long until you move?

Morning everyone. It's a cold 21 here but no snow or ice so that's a good thing.
I messed up yesterday and took the wrong meds and my body was out of whack all day. sigh. made sure I took the right stuff this morning.

wow I was just thinking that this month is half over already and your thinking it's slow lol. just goes to show you how different people look at things. :)

- I had an issue with the motherboard on my last laptop. It's the most frustrating thing because that's the one part that it's really not possible (or worth it) to replace. I'm keeping the old one around in hopes of taking the others parts from it and using elsewhere one day.

- You've got snow.. and we're sitting at around 70F today. I really don't understand our weather. Less than a week ago it was in the single digits, now this? I mean it's normally kinda warm in January, but not THIS warm.

hahaha lol. I always think january is slow, i like february better fast month and survival here. It's a bit boring when there is no event here

well that's true. it is boring when no event is going on. but real life is hectic for me so I don't notice it as much. and I usually miss out on a lot of the events since I'm so busy.

i like it when people argree with me :P I have a busy RL to but an events takes me away from all the fuss so i can relax. I do miss stuff but still like to do it.

I don't know what happened but I'm not in the group anymore...I left my laptop opened and the cat did a lot of things on the keyboards, found hundreds of pages opened , screenshot and even the laptop screen overturned, he likes so much to be on the laptop because it is hot and he is used to try to jump on when I'm on line...crazy cats Since I had'nt any communication about this from the group the only thing I can think is that the cat don't like the Ksrs lol May I be admitted again please? Having a bad health time again. Yesterday I was all nauseous and no energy. Today is a bit better. Going with my dad to PT today to help out. Should get some reading done.

yeah it was really scary. Total panic. I'm just happy that my brain kicked in and I rinsed some right away and then thought to call the poison control people. The nurse I spoke with first was very nice. The one that called back to check on me not so much. Didn't seem interested really. Still have a headache and still feeling stressed but otherwise I seem to be okay and I see fine. Computer screen, tv screen, reading material all clear (well, clear with my glasses ). :)

70? Jeez. We're getting freezing rain, then sleet and then snow followed by a week of subfreezing temps. I don't need 70s atm but normal temps would be nice.

You can't imagine what he is able to do...we had a really funny xmas with him and the tree, I don't have a way to show the jpg of him but if you have fb just tell me and you'll see all the history lol I left open the page because I was searching for the troll defeat group days ago and I've been aware of no belong to the group today. I had to search with the phone cell to find the way to reverse the screen, i's a very complicated operation, I really can't believe he did such a mess with his paws lol
