I've been surrounded by sick people so I should have known I'd get it too. Last time I was sick I bounced back fairly quickly (I think I was sick for only 2 days) so I'm hoping my luck holds.

- I've just been off and on with a headache/nausea/slight dizziness. I dunno what's up with it, or what's causing it, but I think I'm hiding it pretty well, since no ones asked me about acting weird yet. :D I hope your luck holds too!

I think that's sort of what teachers go into it expecting, and when you find out that probably half of the kids don't care it becomes such a treat to find one or two that really care! It's sort of a bummer, but it's so rewarding too!

Same here, or that's how it was in my old town. It looks like where we live now is much better about the roads! But I mostly just want some good nice winter weather!

So, the headache I started out with yesterday turned into a cold by evening and is now a full blown head cold. My throat is horribly scratchy this morning, my nose hurts from blowing it so much. :( Hoping I have enough meds to get me through to Tuesday.

Still expecting a couple inches of snow. Hoping just because it's Christmas they don't decide not to salt.

6:14am here and getting ready for work. We decided to dress a bit festive for the people today. I see we can.open our trees for our gifts... will do that when I get home.

This site has been chewing on my last nerves today. The whole month has been laggy and white pages galore and it still amazes me that it isn't fixed. AT LEAST the trees worked!!

Was a little late myself on a few people and had significantly less to spend/give than previously, but I really appreciate the love I received... especially for not being so active lately. I know I've said that I'm going to try but honestly, things got really hard AGAIN after the post where I said that and I'm just really tired of being on the downhill part of the coaster that's life.
For now, I won't bring anyone down w/ my crap b/c I want to be sure to wish everyone a Happy upcoming New Year and truly hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday.

jersey - What the hell was in your post?? We never got that "winter warning" that was expected. It was more like half an inch of snow and they salted the hell out of everything and honestly, I'm just sick of the abundance of salt that has been put on the roads of expected events that ultimately haven't happened.

Iratze - Thank you and Stitch so much for all that you did. I know I commented you, but I wanted to let you know again. It takes a lot to put in that kind of effort (same for a certain Fairy we know) around a busy time of year.

Speaking of... Brinny - I hope you haven't had to work so much and that you had a GREAT holiday and had plenty of crazy, wonderful prezzies under your Subeta tree. (best part of the holidays for me)

I finally got to have turkey for the first and only time all year. My brother is up from TN (I drove down there after work one day, picked him up and drove him back b/c my dad was having episodes related to his heart and needed s/one) and since they were both there and my dad's f'd up g/f wasn't, I got to have a Christmas w/ them that I haven't had in many years... along w/ my youngest daughter. It was a wonderful meal that I cooked the day before so that I just needed to warm most stuff up (except veggies) on Xmas over there. (plus neither one of us has a dishwasher so I didn't want to make too many dishes over there)

So yeah.. my Subeta and family holiday was wonderful. <3

I think we are more excited, too xD Students just don't understand, lol I hope you're feeling better today!

Yeah! I work in a tutoring room so you would think when kids walk in it's because they want help...NOPE...they just wanted a quieter place to work, or try to sleep. We throw the sleepers back to class, lol.

I seriously cannot thank you guys enough for everything! The gifts under my tree are amazing even though I didn't set the thing up right, or get anything under anyone else's trees. I'll be commenting some thanks later, but the site seems to want to error out every other click, so I'm not going to risk it spamming comments right now :( But THANK YOU everyone! ❤ We had our Christmas on Sunday, and my guy got me a massage where we'll be staying up in Sedona next week. That was an awesome surprise x) Never been to a spa before, so it'll be interesting, lol. Taking the pups with us for the few days we'll be up there, so hopefully they get some snow. It's been unusually warm, though...we shall see!

I worked with 4th graders and in another class, we had 5 to 11 years-old kids in the same class, which made things a tad more difficult to me and my colleague.

Oh my, I'm sure that was tough! Did you teach with another person? I'm sure that was nice! It's good to have backup hahaha

Still battling my cold. Most meds just aren't working. My mouth is crazy dry from having to breath through it. Had to venture out yesterday to get some groceries and will have to again on Friday for some meds for mom but otherwise I'm hibernating as much as I can. Too damn cold outside. Currently it's 8 degrees and the windchill is -2. It's not as cold as Brinny has it up there in Canada but it's still too cold for me. Don't mind cold but single digits and negative is too much.

I believe I thanked most people for all the awesome stuff under my tree! If I missed anyone I'm sorry and thank you so much. Looking forward to playing with the wearables and reading the books to my pets and using the boosters and feeding Felnym all the yummies!

And on an awesome note, I won a Lumi HA contest someone held. I was super surprised considering all the really lovely HAs the contest had.

I don't know what was up with the site yesterday. It was a mess. I was online about 6 or 6:30am because, well, not sleeping, and it was crazy slow and then poof it was gone. Reading the forums it started about 3:30am or so and I guess it was fixed before dinner. Never saw a post on why it happened. And yes I would happily and readily give some of this bitter cold to anyone who wanted it! We got 2 inches here. I was actually happy they salted the hell out of the streets because my brother had to drive back to the hotel and then home on Christmas Day. Our driveway is part ice rink because with my cold I wasn't going to go shovel. Just as well since the snow on top keeps the traction on the ice underneath. I'm so glad you had such a lovely Christmas with your family. ❤

We celebrated Sunday as well since my brother had to head home Monday. I hope you enjoy the spa. Never been to one so I look forward to knowing what it was like for the two of you!

Oh boy, Subeta is actually working for me this morning! knocks on wood I mean it's been working, but just too slow for me to really do anything. I want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who put things under my tree! I will get around to personal thank yous when I am home this weekend and have proper time, because I am very thankful! ❤ We will be traveling home tomorrow all day, so probably won't get on until very late evening if I do at all. I'm ready to be back in my own bed though!
