That's so fun! I totally agree that kids make it so much more fun. I've never had any kids around to get gifts for sadly, but I can't wait until I do!! I hope you do get to have snow for Christmas! I'm in Indiana and it's sort of cold, but not enough for snow. Such a bummer!

Merry Luminaire everyone! Tuesday I wrapped all the presents at my parent's house and yesterday I went and cleaned for my Mom. Sunday I make the deviled eggs and Monday we have Christmas. So excited. :) Love Christmas!

- Oh we won't get snow on Christmas! We're down in Mississippi until the 28th, and it's waay too warm for snow here! We are looking to have some around the new year though!

Ooooh I see! Well that's nice anyway! A warm Christmas! I'm just hoping we get some good snow at some point this winter! The past few have barely had any!

- It's kinda been like that for us too. We've gotten a few decent ices in the past couple of years, but that's been about it. I'm really hoping since we moved a little north that we'll get more real snow now (one can hope anyway). I'm a huge sucker for snow. Like.. I live for the stuff.

Ugh, I am not a fan of the ice! Fluffy snow is the best, it feels so nostalgic for me! I dunno, I live right near the lake and the past years have been disappointing in terms of snow. Climate change is a bummer haha

Sorry I've not been posting much. I feel like I've been going nonstop for a few weeks now. And when I have some time in the evening I'm either too tired (physically and/or mentally) or I'm trying to get some stuff done and I neglect posting and my pings.

Spent the day doing food prep mostly. My one brother will be here in another hour or so (the other lives here). I'll probably have some time tomorrow on the computer, more if the weather dampens our plans, but not too much on Sunday which is when we will be celebrating since my brother has to drive home on Christmas Day to be there to work on Tuesday. I will have more time to play on Christmas Day itself.

Still have trees to stuff stuff under on here but I'm closing in on the end. I will likely still miss people.

We're getting more snow. An inch tomorrow is likely and another inch Sunday night into Monday morning. Don't want it. It's messing up our plans. I so so wish I could send it to you!

Hi all! I had a super busy day. My work did a Christmas party for the clients in our program. I taught class in the morning then we provided snacks & music until lunch time where we served turkey, stuffing, mixed veggies and candied yams. Then we had dessert (pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie and sugar cookies). It went pretty smoothly. Except I'm definitely getting sick, I had a sore throat all day. When I got home I didn't have the energy to wrap gifts so I put them into gift bags. Looking forward to having the next few days off to rest.

I've been meaning to bake gingerbread muffins, but I never remember until it's not a good time to bake like at 10 pm. I'll probably do it tomorrow before mom goes to work so she can have one fresh from the oven.

Hi. I was busy again, not the eyes this time. Dad is getting a bone scan Tuesday which will might help explain his back fracture. We got Loki a cage twice the size of his old one. Gave it to him early for Christmas, meaning today. He is not sure about it.

It just started getting colder here, too! FINALLY! It's been so warm for so long it never really felt like Christmas.

I wish you could send the snow, too :( I miss having snow be a possibility. We do get ice now and then, but nothing this year. Been to warm for anything.

I've been asked to make some cinnamon rolls tomorrow, so I'll probably have to do that x) Along with wrapping gifts, lol. I am officially on winter break, though! Wooo!! Finals are over! No more helping kids with things they should have been studying all semester to begin with xD

I think we're even more excited about having time off than the students. I was going to attempt to moonwalk out of the building but had no energy left by the time I slipped out to my car.

The tour was awesome! Cool stories about midwinter, Vikings, trolls, elf and more. Afterwards we went for hot chocolate at a bonfire.

Woke up with a wicked headache. It's not wicked anymore but it is still pounding. Can take some more meds in about a half hour.
Been raining since last night. They expect it to switch to snow around noon and that will end after a few hours. Not supposed to stick because the ground is too warm. Tomorrow's is expected to stick - it's up to about 3 inches expected now. :(

Sure hope you get rest and get to feeling better. Stinks to not feel well over your time off.

Morning' Everyone! (barely, but still morning) :D

- I reaaally just want your snow! D:

- It was in the 70s the other day at home! Right after we had a week of sub-freezing temps. Our weather is all over the place.

- Me either, but these last two years we've only gotten ice and it's been so disappointing! I just want the nice fluffy stuff so I can throw some snowballs! Besides, the ice just makes the roads around her miserable. They don't treat them properly and they just freeze and stay frozen. It's so bad.

I took more meds this morning and I'm feeling a bit more normal now. I just tossed 2 trays of gingerbread muffins into the oven to bake. Other than that I'm taking it easy today.

I wish I could share it with you and drac!
