- for now, at least, I'm cheap too, so that makes your advice all the more useful. Thank you. Hope you got something great with your recent splurge.
If you hang shelves on your wall of text, you could store your "heaps of Perilous Whirlpools" there. (sorry, but I just couldn't resist) :-)
No need to say sorry, I really need a place to hang my other heaps of Gigan Blows, Typhoon and Arctic Braver too. XD My scroll library feels a little bit cramped :D
Aftershocks is my default healing scroll for all my pets -- including my T13s. I simply use it more than any other for defense/healing. Don't worry about Divine Den, etc... they aren't as useful and you already have the scroll that would ultimately replace them.
I would encourage you to keep working on upping the intel since you will always have more scrolls you want to equip. Good Luck!
A list of all available scrolls on site and what they do can be found: here
Yeah I could go either way with that one - find it very funny or in poor taste depending on the interpretation .
Aftershocks is my default scroll for my second pet. It packs more of a punch than skelly and the icons it blocks is better for my second pet, even though it heals for less.
All the scrolls I actively use in my armory (in no particular order) are: Perilous whirlpool Typhoon of valor cobalt SE skelly OC aftershocks unstable fairy gotf the void fatal fire shriek of despair psycho smasher
Many I have more than one of but this is just a list
Thank You for bringing me back my item! To thank you, here is a reward.
Reward :
15 Point Wizard Token AND Your pet Killer Threat gains 6 Level! AND 63sP!
AARGH!
Hello :) While I'm not new to Subeta at all, I am kinda of a newb when it comes to Battling. I have been more actively reading guides since last week and creating my own spreadsheets to hold weapon/scroll info as well as challenger info (weapons, icons, etc.) in one place.
But I'm wondering about curses and blessings. Specifically learning how to know which of the last two weapons an opponent uses activates a curse or blessing without having to read a guide (because I haven't found a guide for EVERY single opponent).
Take, for example, The Dark Forest. How do I know if Deadly Moss or Menacing Mist activated the Dizzy Spell Curse?
Thank you in advance for any help provided to a struggling battler who just wants to improve :D
Welcome. :) Lovely pet profile for your Tziety. Not much on how battling works but seems like you got yourself organized. I'm sure someone will guide on how to answer your question. Flew over my head. XD

Thank you ! I haven't touched Tziety's profile in forever... I really need to work on the story and remove the TC plans from there, especially since I got it covered via WL lol
I hope someone will be able to help me out... I am not sure how often people ask what I asked :P
you just have to pay attention in a few battles, if it uses Deadly Moss and a different weapon next time and the curse procs, Deadly Moss probably procced it. if it uses Menacing Mist and a different weapon and the curse procs, Menacing Mist probably procced it. there's a chance both can proc it too though. honestly it doesn't really matter at all since you don't have control over what they use and stealing and blasting are random
Welcome to the battle chat thread! To answer your question, the best way to find out which is activating the curse is just by battling multiple times and paying attention to when the curse activates. It's possible that it's activated by either or both and that there's a % chance of activation. My guess is it is activated through menacing mist based on the name of the curse and what you posted. It could be medium chance to activate so even though the forest uses menacing mist doesn't mean the curse will always activate. The more menacing mist is used however, the more likely you are to see the curse (if it is indeed responsible for the curse).
Congrats on your wins!
Thank you and Wesker! I was indeed checking to see which weapons were used before the curse activated, but in all 10 battles, it always used two different sets of weapons every time it got activated, so I couldn't know for sure :P
At least now I can see that if a few weapons proceed the curse, then probably those two (or three, because sets) could activate it.
To kbbob's point, there's not much you can do about preventing curses if an opponent has multiple copies of the weapon and blasting is random. You can however use that knowledge to put together the most effective scroll and weapon set to prepare for it. For example, the opponent Dean has all scrolls disabled so you will want weapons that heal a lot and protect against the icons he deals. Zephyre has a curse that prevents you from using weapons for two turns so you will want to have a bunch of cobalt scrolls to protect you when that curse is active.
though you can't defend against curses, so you just have to deal with them. you can't really prepare for most of them unless it's one of the newer ones that takes away your weapons or scrolls for X number of turns
Thank you for the reminder , I did read about it earlier in a thread, news post, guide or somewhere.
At least if I know which curses each opponent's weapons deal before-hand, I can plan my battle set :D
Also, I am suddenly so close to my first Extremely Hard weapon from the Battle Shop (only 20 points away!) And I am unsure as to what I should purchase... Gale Force Scroll, is a good option since I don't have a scroll that attacks+heals at the same time. The Oracles Short Sword's blessing calls me with that 1000 HP heal, but provides no defense outside of the blessing, and Shinwas Short Sword's blessing heals so little while providing the same defense), but would be a nice addition for whenever I need an Earth icon weapon.
Or should I forget about those weapons and invest in the Intricate Components to create the Intricate Energized Helmet to use instead of my DDS whenever I need to block a variety of icons or the blessing to prevent being frozen?
Which would you recommend?
I'd go for the helmet, but that's just me. I never really used the scroll and haven't ever used the short swords
The Intricate Energized Helmet can do you no wrong :) It should come first before everthing else in that level imo. And you might want to save up for two copies of the components before purchasing other things because after Helmet comes Mecha.
It definitely takes long. Same went for me :) but I don't think there are any opponents in BQs that deal icons that need those in the EH section's block/ defence, unless you want them for opponents outside of BQs. Earth I can think of a few, but no magma-based challengers come to mind right away, so I guess you'll be fine without those weapons there.
I'll probably hit 75 Intricate Components for a second or third time before working my way through the 100 Impossible ones :P But it's a good goal to have ^_^
And I'll slowly be able to train with Impossible opponents in BQ... maybe :P
You Won! You have defeated Sophie 1 time!
:o Whoa, wait really? I am feeling so accomplished! Or maybe I was lacking spending time in the BC :P
