- have everything (so far) except the Trident, which may be a problem because they are usually equipped with fairly expensive mods that disappear when you loan them. Current thought on that is to try without it and see where I get, so might need it later on. Got the last trade and had to take a short break to do a small bit of real life stuff but am now done and free for battling. Only time constraint items are Soma Tablets and Reviver of the Lion which uses daily to battle. Everyone here has been fantastic! I'm actually excited to go off and battle.

I think I will start a new thread to make battle notes so that

1. I can try and keep track of what I've done
2. I can keep from cluttering up the Battle Chat thread with too much detail
3. anyone else with a T9 who is interested can see what happens
4. anyone wanting to help/suggest/cheer and, of course, any of you already doing that can check in if/when they want

I started a spreadsheet not so long ago to keep track of my battles. I'd hoped it would encourage me to get back in to battling, as my depression/distraction with other things has made me lose some interest in subeta. It didn't help much lolol

Anyway, I bought the mods as suggested by , good to give them battle tokens a use gosh. I thought I had a follow up question but now I think I've forgotten it. Going to go in and give this hydra another shot.

(@ Archer While I have these hooks and blade, do you know if there's any other higher tiered challengers they'd do well against? I mean, you had to have bought them for a reason, not just for this guy, right?)

Had to use one full heal about halfway through, and another right around the time he turned blue. Had 5 cobalts, 4 sancturias and my aftershocks for the rest of the battle.

Cronus is good against Meatslab if you have him. Get ten wins on him, and you'll get the parts to make your own Cronus. I can't remember what stats are recommended against him though. I think it's pretty good against Mutant Scientist too.

OHS, I actually did just buy for this guy lol. I do remember needing an earth blocker to beat Baenwurath though.

Other than that, I haven't really paid attention to what icons any of the newer challengers do. My pet's big enough that I just kind of roll over them. But you're welcome to try them out while you've got 'em. And congrats on that first win! I'm sure you can get to five!

That one went really smoothly. Never got below half health myself, never had to use a full healer. Tentacles crossed for more battles like this one.

Tos (T9) has now made it to 4 wins against the seven-headed hydra but is stuck there for now (40 straight losses since win 4). Tos, my wrist and I need a break, but will be back to figure out how to get at least that 5th win a bit later. Thank you to all my helpers, lenders, supporters and cheering seciton! You are all awesome. With some persistence, that hydra will give up another battle to Tos!

Congrats on both your wins! I've needed OHS for mutant scientist (actually I was testing my strategy on her first before the hydra), cinthilocks, the mage and some even challengers.It was also nice for GE and sanddragon.

- Thank you! Right now I'm using 3 Perilous Whirlpools for freezing. I also have one Aftershocks Scroll and only 39 AP. I am open to suggestion. I tried substituting a Death Delusion for one of the Perilous Whirlpools but it doesn't seem to freeze as well so I switched back. If my AP is very close, I do own books Tos hasn't read yet.

I have a ... yellow one. Uhhh I'm blanking here and rather than stopping and looking it up I'm just typing and hoping it comes to me. It's once per battle but it's high chance. Psycho smasher. I looked it up. I also have at least one gale force wind and maybe 3 shriek of despairs? I know they're all kind of high ap but if you want to borrow and try them out just holler. Also gelaspell which is infinite use but no heal.
