Yeah, event challengers tend to have higher speed from what I've seen, but for full-time challengers, I think there's like...4 or 5 with more than 5.5k speed. Just not worth it to me. I'd rather throw on a few crit strike crystals and get my damage in that way since they ignore speed. And I'm pretty sure I remember reading a while back that there's like a small chance of getting a crit even if your speed is lower but uh...don't quote me there. I feel like I remember that happening around when they made speed static, but I could totally be making it up lol

So yeah the more I talk about it, the more I'm pretty sure Thracian's speed is getting leeched when he gets closer to the cap. Pretty sure the only reason he's at 6k now is from tomes.

that's true, but crit strike and speed crits proc separately so relying on mods will only generate more 2x crits with a rare 4x crit in there, but if you have mods + higher speed, you'll get more 4x crits

I do it that way too. I actually put up what I lend out in a lot and then a junk trade up along side and tell them when they're done to offer on it. that way I'm in control the whole way haha

I completely forgot about it so I guess I'll have to inconvenience you and Wesker :'( I also sent you the link to the trade I've set up. Whenever you're online tomorrow you can pop the RotL and Soma in that trade and set up a new junk one so that I can bid when I'm done with BQs. That way it'd be flexible for both of us and we won't have to wait for the other person to be online for the trade to go through :D

Yeah it's like 5% chance of a crit even if your speed is really low. I dunno about you but I want to do like 40k damage from x4 crit lol It'll pay off for event challengers for me.

Ok just let me know if you need the bludgeon and I'll send it with the pstaff and mss tonight. The bludgeon and pstaff don't need mods replaced but I'll have to see what's on the mss.

I see you're skipping speed at least for the time being. Just a reminder that some weapons do scale according to speed, so that is something to keep in mind as you plot your build. :)

If MSS turns out to be a problem in terms of mods then I think I will just start without it and see where I get to. suggested that I should try and borrow a Blessed Trident to use your strategy even with a T9 (he doesn't think your strategy will work with alternates to the trident) . He also susggested a Replica Minotaur Knocker, so I guess I will just start after I get the Bludgeon and the Staff from you and meanwhile try to borrow a trident as well. It sounds like I will be spending the next day or so just madly flailing away at all those heads - scary! :-)

I had a 3bil offer on SoSS when they they put SoSS in the antique shop, and wasn't going to sell for less than 5bil. An that was for one of the original 11. I had someone that would mail me every 3 months with a higher and higher offer. They murdered the long term value of SoSS/WoK. People are getting 15bil offers on original god weapons now. SoSS would be getting offers of 20 if it wasn't for the antique shop.

All weapons that scale with speed are super mediocre. Someone made a giant pet with 0 speed and it is able to do all the end game content.

Right, I just figured out not long ago that I got that number from Subetalodge :'( I'm getting old now; cannot remember anything properly.

I can lend you the Trident if you need it for the last win, but then it'd be most economical if you can use it within a day, because the transfer back and forth would cost you a lot in terms of replacement mods.

I don't think subetalodge has the most accurate record for a few battle items. For sure it couldn't have gone for 2 bil RsW points because I participated in that event and though I wasn't into battling then and didn't pay attention I can still remember that no item went for that high. That's probably why my brain automatically registered the number as the Antique Shop sP price.

SoSS may be an exception, but there have been SO MANY TIMES when I would be just about to get some things on my WL -- just waiting for the prices to come down a teensy bit more... Then the announcement gets made about these things going into the AS soon and seconds later the prices are all sky high and I end up having to pay four times as much to get it out of the AS. Thank goodness I got soma, RotL, and TS before the AS did! lol

- I am guessing that anyone with a Trident has expensive mods on it. What mods are you currently using? I am planning to start without it in any case, as soon as gets home, so only borrowing if I need it for the last win(s) makes sense to me. I'm just trying to take everyone's advice all at once and am expecting to get flattened a lot. :-)

I took the truth serum out of my set since there's no stealing so I have a free weapon slot.

I'll dig my amulets out of storage and see what kind of tomes I can get for last ditch stat boosting but I think I need help with the last hydra. At least I really hope he's last. I have some books I can read so get an extra few alchemy points if needed.
