I've got three parched baguettes and one natural blessing. The natural blessing shouldn't be a problem since I can replace it myself :D The parched ones are a little bit more expensive.

If you are getting screwed over by the antique shop, I think you are getting very unlucky.

I have owned a LOT of those items and been screwed over by falling prices at least 80% of the time.

It has gotten to the point that I hold onto very very few items from the plots. I sold my Pneumonic Prototype Limb for shear terror at what they are going to do to that things value (In addition to the person offering 1.3billion which was a really good offer). And part of me hates owning 3/11 of the original Martenez Briefcases, because even though it was a boss prize, and they don't seem to be killing those things. Look what they did to the top level Saheric prizes. Some of those things were hundreds of millions reduced to 50mil with the click of a button. Fortunately had already sold out of that plot before they killed it. I had traded the tiles away at an 850mil valuation 6 months before.

Def trash the PBB for this one. That icon spread on the defense is gonna kill you. Best bet all around seems to be Cronus Blade + OHS, which I'd be happy to lend you if you don't mind replacing two parched baguettes. With those two weapons and some lucky blasting, you should be able to get some wins for sure.

The good news is that lower prices mean fewer battlers are quitting in disgust at the cost of battling. I know of more than one who have quit battling because they see so many obscene weapon prices. They don't see any reason to play if they can't win. And some can't even afford to play.

I'm not sure how many users on this site have 20 billion to spend, but I doubt it is very many. Most of those people are probably friends of yours and have been here as long as you have and you all have pretty much the same stuff. I'm sure you know better than I just how many people would want and can afford such things. I don't mean that to sound snarky -- I mean that you understand one end of the spectrum. I understand the other. I haven't been a user long enough to have forgotten what it feels like to be the new kid in the room. The one who has nothing, knows nothing, but would like to get in the game.

My point is that the site has to balance both ends. I am sorry you are not worth as many billions as you could be -- I don't like to ever see anyone lose. But I am also happy that the site is trying to make battling less intimidating for newer members. That battlers can set long-term goals and feel like they have a chance to someday achieve them is a good thing, instead of feeling as though most things are forever beyond their grasp. No one wants to play a game they can never win.

You are still the big frog in the little pond. You maybe just aren't as big as you could be since the pond is growing. But I think that's good for everyone -- even you. Think of how many more users you're richer than now. I'll bet it's a bigger number than it used to be. You still have all of your achievements. Nothing in any antique shop will ever change what you have accomplished. Small consolation perhaps, but having more battlers around is a pretty nifty silver lining.

Which brings up another question - I don't tend to do mods. I just went to look and I have the following: Blessed Trident of the Banished One - natural armor tear x4 Swashbuckle - Critical Strike Tear Crystal, Parched Baguette Crystal, Singed Baguette Crystal, Parched Baguette Crystal Intricate Energized Helmet - singed baguette x2 Recycle Blaster - singed baguette

I don't ever use singed myself, but the rest look good. Pretty much all my weapons have some combo of parched, natural armor, and crit.

Lot has the cronus and ohs. No rush on returning 'em. They're not in my default bq set or anything. Good luck! Also don't bother trying to freeze after the first turn. He has a blessing that activates ~95% of the time that's 100% freeze protection.

Without freezing ... Well, let's just say my scroll focuses heavy on freezing. Any thoughts for stuff I can throw in there, or just use a heal-y scroll every time? Gelaspell and aftershocks are infinite use with some healing.

Yeah, I just used my healing scroll every time. I had a couple for a little extra damage, and I think could be useful too if you need a little extra healing.

Thaaaat almost looked like it was going well, then Pacifist got frozen and one shot

The nice thing about the trident is it stacked water attack with pstaff, it just doesn't have the right block so for me he was doing way too much damage when I used both at the same time.

Unstable fairy scroll also scales with speed. That one I think is worth it for an infinite use freezing scroll. The chance to freeze is nicer than that piece of junk scroll gelaspell. Combine that with sierrac flail and you have around 24% chance to freeze. Even without the flail, 13% chance is nice for an infinite scroll. It will also heal your pet when you are below 50% health.

My pet was able to get to 5 wins with ~5.9k health/3.88k strength/3.18k def/3.1k speed. My set looked like this:

OHS, Cronus, mecha, energized helmet, soma, rblaster, reviver, pquill

The cronus and mecha I used to boost stats. The scrolls I had were 3 cobalt, the void, gotf, skelly, 3 fatal fire, and 1 perilous whirlpool. The whirlpool was there on the off chance his blessing didn't activate on the first turn otherwise I used everything else as needed.

[edit] Going to add a little bit of strategy here. I modded with 2 parched and 2 crit hits on my weapons (only one crit on OHS because it only has three slots). All my other weapons (blasters, healers, etc) all had parched or blessed armor. You definitely don't want to be caught without freeze protection with this guy. I also used regenerating pylonics to boost my strength and defense early on. Pay attention to what you blast. It's his raging inferno that boosts his attack by 250 with each use. He has 2 or 3 of them so even if you blast at least one you will stand a better chance.

I am going to play the tiniest bit of Zelda before bed then like first thing in the morning I am going to try out these strategies, thank you for the input

I was getting lazy doing BQs but with this goal it will make me do it everyday. Plus should start hoarding leeches. Will need at least 500 of them. All I need is 1,000 more in HP. Let's see how long it takes me.

I just opened up my challenger spreadsheet and saw I had 3 wins on the mage. I thought I only had one so this made me very shocked and happy. I may try again for wins 4 and 5 later and then instantly be pissed again haha.

I was salty for a little bit, pretty much quit over it for a couple years even, I was worth probably about 9 billion when it got antique shopped and would be worth probably 30billion now if it never had been, although my purchasing power would have been about the same since most other god weapons would have been similar price tags anyways. I'm over it now though for the most part. No offense taken at all.

At this point I think they should release the other OG god weapons at a similar price point. I know there have been 15bil offers floated by people, especially for WoTP, but I don't believe any of those offers closed. If they were to drop the price down to 3.75bil for all of them, it would only hit theoretical valuations rather than screw over people that made actual purchases.

The reason why god weapon price have exploded so much is because the explosion in price of CSC. Back when I was reselling god weapons I would be selling them to people who were going out and buying 1500$ worth of CSC, which at the time was like 1.2billion, but now 1500$ worth of CSC is 18 billion. The effective price people have been willing to pay hasn't really changed much, but the value of sP has dropped so much.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if no god weapon ever sold again, unless it is by someone who quits and just auctions it to the highest bidder, no reserve. So there isn't a whole lot of harm in rereleasing them at a 3.75bil price point. Then again I'm biased since I no longer had unreleased god weapon.

I think you make some good points and I agree with your idea to re-release more godlies. Especially since they are so often talked about amongst battlers. I personally have no issue with any plot weapon I have earned being released someday again. But then again, I'm pretty much a red commie... ;)

It looks like you have everything you need from reading the past two pages? I believe you're borrowing from Wesker(Prodigy Staff, Bludgeon, Maleria's Short Sword, Trident), Maskros(Reviver, Soma, assorted Perilous Whirlpool scrolls), Habeebi(Rift Staff) and unknown(Replica Minotaur Knocker). Aside from the MSS and scrolls I have the rest of that stuff going to waste right now that I could let you borrow so you don't have to worry about time constraints. In general battling news I finally kicked the Mage's teeth in the final five times a couple of days ago. That recurring full heal is downright infuriating coupled with steeling.
