"You're welcome" Millie said with a warm smile. "Hello. Mr. Lee, it's lovely to meet you" Millie said as she stuck out her hand for a handshake. "Thank you for joining us tonight. I'm sure this is nerve wrecking for you. and never gets any easier."
She turned back to Magnus, "that's so exciting you're getting a sister" she said. "Oh and if you need more meat, I can sneak into the kitchen and get you some. The house elves don't care when I go in there. I bribe them with baked goods and clean rags" Millie giggled
Aderyn smiled at Bartley () and nodded.
"Pleased to meet you, sir."
She was glad to see that Millie had come to support Magnus, too, and she reached out to give Magnus' shoulder a reassuring pat.
"You're in good hands. Just focus on taking deep breaths to help keep that peaceful feeling. And it's so great to hear about Aria! I'm sure you'll both be happier for being brother and sister."
Bartley shook hands with the girl. Neverwrecking... not exactly the word he would choose. Of course there wasn't really any words he could thinking that fit so maybe it was apt enough. "I would trust no one else to over see my son in this matter. I and my unspeakable team will ensure that you are all safe and he is as safe as he can be."
Magnus nodded and half smiled. "Don't flirt wif me too much, gals, ain't gonna be able to enjoy it much longer." He winked as another treamour showed.
Bartley's lips became a thin line. He put his hand on his wand ready to magically shove the girls back and put up the shield ward they had ready. All three of the other unspeakbles likewise were equally ready. "Ladies, I must ask to distance yourselves from him. His potion will be ending soon and the night is coming."
Sam raced to dungeon 7 from the hospital wing, griffon claws from her botched polyjuice potion clicking on the floor. At least Madam Pomfrey had managed to get rid of the beak and the wings, but she was going to be stuck with the claws and tail for another couple of days. She really wanted to be on time 'cause Magnus would be needing all the support he could get from his friends. He must be unbelievably brave to share this change. She remembered how torn up he was after the change, no wonder the hat put him in Griffindor.

Aderyn glanced up at Bartley as he spoke, his tone grim, and nodded. She looked back at Magnus () and smiled one last time, gesturing to herself and Millie ().
"We'll be right over there. It'll be okay. We'll make sure everything turns out okay. You can get through this!"
Magnus was getting more and more agitated. His calming potion had worn off. "Yeah," he said, "like this is me first time." He rolled his eyes and snarled a little.
"Don't pay attention to his tone," Bartley said, "He doesn't mean it." Another girl arrived and Bartley greeted her. "Magnus' dad, Bartley. Please don't get too close, he's beginning to get aggressive." More to himself than to anyone else he said, "I think the shield ward is needed." A second later a crackle and the ward shimmered and went back to invisible.
Sam nodded and attempted to look calm and cool as Bartley introduced himself, completely unaware that she still had griffin ears, and one of them was twitching nervously.
"Samantha Grant" she replied "Please, call me Sam."
The black and white king snake coiled around her neck hissed something into her ear, and Sam clapped her hands to her head in horror.
"Oh no! The ears!" she gasped "Um, sorry. I'll uh, be getting out of the way now. Pleased-ta-meetcha, bye."
Quickly she retreated to a far corner, where for some reason there was a nervous looking alpaca. Petting the soft little creature seemed to settle both their nerves as Magnus' dad set a shimmering ward around the already sturdy looking cage.
Poor Magnus looked more frightened than aggressive to her, but then, she'd never seen a werewolf transform before.

He went over to her and more kindly said, "I can hide you're griffin accessories for you, so no one else needs to see those, Sam."
"Ah, thank you. I don't want to be any trouble though, it's just another botched potion. I'm getting real used to unpleasant surprises from them. Ma is gonna be so ticked off at me when I get a Troll in that class.... Sorry, rambling. If you think they'll bother Magnus, he doesn't like griffins much, then please do." Sam looked up at the cage, this was going to be tough enough for Magnus, without her ineptitude with potions making it worse.
"Hold still," he said tapping her head. The griffin parts shimmered and slipped out of sight. "Look beside you. Do you see anyone? Bob, shift for a second," he said. Bob who was almost touching Sam shifted to the side and then slid back into the shadows. "Its a chameleon spell. They are less threatening to Magnus if he can't see them. Did the same thing for your griffin parts and its no trouble. Give Magnus a few days, then ask him to help with your potions. He loves potions. Now, if you wish, you can talk to him. But just don't get too close and don't mind if he starts getting baligerant. He's got about 20 minutes or so before he shifts."
Paddy ran the last few metres towards Dungeon 7. She'd had one heck of a day already, and didn't think it would help to arrive late. Slowing up as she approached the door, she thought back over her meeting with Magnus' father that morning....
She paused for a moment to catch her breath, then entered the dungeon.

Bartley caught the sight of a girl entering the room. "Ah hello Paddy," he said. The furless girl looked nervous.
"How did you know it was me?" she replied, "I thought I had that locket hidden quite well." Rummaging her her pocket, she pulled out a piece of parchment and handed it to Bartleby, "my Uncle asked me to pass this on to you," she added.

"Oh, yes your locket isn't visible," he said. "I can see. It is one of the rarest gifts. Things that are not what they appear to be, concealment and other such magic, I can see them all. I can see your friend's wings, for example and thestrals were quite visible long before I ever witnessed a death." He took the note and read it. "Well, your Uncle wishes me to ensure that Magnus will partake of his confectionery gift. I cannot promise this. But his generosity is appreciated," he finished folding the note up and tucking it into his pocket.
(( WOW! Your art is always amazing! Magnus looks fierce~ Who plays Aria? I can't remember.))
Katsumi had shown up a bit early, before just about everyone else, and gone to wait somewhere out of the way. As the other students started arriving, she joined them. Though Magnus was trying to act like his usual self, he seemed stressed, and she didn't blame him. She couldn't think of anything to say that would be useful, and she wasn't very good at being comforting, even when she tried.
20 minutes to go, Mr. Lee -- no, Mr. Bartley -- said. The second year was a bit anxious herself, not because she was really afraid for herself but because she'd never been around a werewolf, and even if she was safe the idea was a bit frightening. Still, she wouldn't have passed the opportunity up.
EDIT: ((Adding more because ninja'd me~))
Mr. Bartley's greeting to Paddy caught her attention. Wait, Paddy? The Gryffindor girl looked nothing like her usual furry self. Katsumi wondered how she'd managed that. But the man's comment about Seeing was of more interest, and she approached the two. "Seeing through illusions and concealment -- that doesn't sound like Sight as Professor Trelawny uses it. Would you say it's the same thing? A related discipline, perhaps? Or is your ability something else entirely?"

Sam gave the alpaca a final comforting pat and stepped up to where Magnus could easily see and hear her. "Hiya!" she said cheerily, smiling broadly "What some people will do to get out of Astronomy class! Seriously though, I've got your assignments covered for the next few days, but you gotta help me with potions when your'e feeling up to it." Sam paused, her expression turning serious. "Thank you so much for braving this for all of us Magnus."
"I have no gift for prophecy," he said to the girl, "I see things the way they should be and the way they are. You see the wall as you believe it should be. I can see the wall and I know that something about the wall is false. Then I adjust and can literally see the man hidden himself to look like the wall."
"Thanks though I did plan on flunking Astronomy so I guess I'll have to wait another term," Magnus replied drolly. His eyes flickered for a moment and cocked his head in a very dog like look. "What's so brave about it?"
((sorry about Ninjaing. is Aria, I have a list in the first post with names and users.))
(( haha, don't be sorry! It happens /all/ the time. I just get rid of what doesn't fit and add something that does, though I only needed to do the latter this time around.))
The girl considered Mr. Bartley's words with sharp interest. "I wonder if I could learn to do that..." she wondered softly. It sounded like a very useful skill, being able to actually see through magic. "It works even when you don't know a spell is present?" Katsumi asked. "How do you know it's not real if you don't know there's an active enchantment?"

"You could try I suppose. There are magical means to help but true seeing of this type is an extremely rare gift bestowed unto a human by a fae and they do not use their magic for humans lightly. I born with it. Even when I do not know about a spell, I can see. Glamour unfolds itself to me. I see the illusion and it shatters--breaking the spell to my eyes and revealing what is really there. I always know which is the truth and which is the lie. I cannot explain it beyond that. "
Beth ran to Dungeon 7. She hoped she wasn't too late to the meeting. You would think she would know which dungeon was which after spending so much time down there. She noticed that the other students stood farther away from Magnus (), who was alone in a cage. She waved hello and gave him a warm smile. It must be almost time for his transformation, she thought to herself.
She walked to Aderyn () and Millie (). "Have I missed much?" she asked them.
