Hey there (: Do you happen to be an Avatar Korra fan? The story I am looking to have written revolves around it, hehe.

I was a huge fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender back in the mid 2000s when it aired but I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Legend of Korra. (I just got satellite TV back last month...I was living with local channels for a number of years.) I have done a few fan fic pieces based on summaries but I understand if you want a writer who knows the series first-hand.

Setting: I always envisioned him in more of a dry climate, like the african plains. Also part of the dreamtime, the "time before time" -- A place beyond time and space in which the past, present, and future exist wholly as one. Tribes-people could enter this alternate universe through dreams or various states of altered consciousness, as well as death, Dreamtime being considered the final destination before reincarnation.

Personality: He's fairly soft spoken and mild mannered, prefers to be alone. Because he assists with helping souls pass from life into death, and likewise from death into new life, he is very patient and reassuring. He does not register much emotion other wise.

PoV: Whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Physical traits: Tan pelt, salmon colored hair, markings, claws and teeth. Teal pawpads & nose . Antelope horns. Furless tail-tip. Shapeshifter, favors mingling the forms of a lion, antelope and dingo. (Art on profile, linked above.) He can appear humanistic, but typically does not.

Likes/Dislikes: He's very drawn to bones and any kind of shamanistic items, like masks, staves or potions. Things in his treasure chest. I envision his den to be decorated like some kind of crazy serial killer, Ed Gein-eqsue madness. But, not neccesarily in a creepy way. If that makes sense?

Preferred Length: Maybe something between standard and long?

Anything else?: Maybe something along the lines of escorting a newly deceased soul to the Afterlife, or leading a soul to be reincarnated into a new body?

I have a question for you.

Could you write a story based upon watching a music video? I know it sounds odd but one of my pets is based upon a character from a music video [and a book] and I'm having trouble telling his story. Mostly everything is shown in the video, I can probably fill in the gaps that aren't shown or don't make sense; I just don't know how to go about creating a story without it sounding drab.

Setting: The beginning portion is going to take place within the Spirit World and the second is going to take place in the 'normal' world where Avatar Korra is!

Personality: She is very driven and determined. She is patient most times, but can get a little snappy sometimes

Likes/Dislikes: She loves collecting berries from the spirit world (hence her treasure chest) - it was a hobby she picked up, as living in the spirit world is kind of boring.

Preferred Length: Hrm....I am not 100% for the length. I would say a medium (or perhaps long-ish) length; I would like the story to tell the story and have it not seemed rushed (or confusing) but not too long that other users would be deterred from reading it!

Anything else?: So I figured I would give way more details (: So, queue the beginning of time: the first Avatar of all time (Avatar Wan) accidentally separated Vaatu and Raava and by doing so, opened the Spirit Portals up and spirits began appearing in the 'normal world' (I am unsure what this is called, perhaps you might know, I am blanking!), once Avatar Wan and Raava fused their energies and combined during Harmonic Convergence, they were able to trap Vaatu in the Tree of Time -- then the Spirit Portals closed, as to keep the two worlds separate from one another as they always were, BUT (this is where my idea for the story comes in) a village was trapped in the middle of the portals when they were closing and the village got trapped in the Spirit World -- this was Araluen's Village.

In the Spirit World, the villagers never age, and they discovered that they were trapped there. As time went on Araluen took to collecting berries, as waking every day and doing the same things became boring, she decided traveling the spirit world and collecting things would help. She eventually discovered Wan Shi Tong's Library (the spirit world library) and she became very eager to learn everything she possibly could...as she literally had all the time in the world.

She decided to teach herself how to bend, and after trying Air, Earth and Fire without success, she was thrilled when she could bend water. She eventually taught herself how to plantbend too, as water and plant bending were somewhat similar & she became a master in both.

Queue current time: Avatar Korra opened up the Spirit Portals and Araluen (as well as the other villagers) were now capable of leaving the home they have lived in for thousands of years. Most of the other villagers chose to stay within the Spirit World, as they were unsure of what to expect in the world, but Araluen decided to leave and go on a journey to find Avatar Korra and thank her for opening up the Spirit Portals!

So, for the story I am hoping the beginning can be about how the village got stuck and then it can be about the time spent in the spirit world (traveling, collecting berries, discovering the spirit library and learning how to bend) and then once the portals open maybe a bit about the journey to find Avatar Korra and the ending could be when Araluen finally thanks her for opening the spirit portals!

This looks great for detail and it helps that I know the setting of the Avatar world at least to some degree. What I'm thinking of doing is a long story segmented sort of like a journal with Araluen detailing her time in the Spirit World and journey to find Avatar Korra through entries she wrote. (This style will allow me to go into details that take place over a span of time without the story getting over long. It's also a style that works very well when writing in first person.) I hope to have a draft for you by the Monday or Tuesday.

Pet Name: Wolfish

Setting: Whatever seems fitting. The night of a full moon starting out with his back story? The jumping to a guard selection test or something.

Personality: Wolfish is just that..Wolfish. He is the alpha of a pack and has fought time and time again to keep his status. He is known to all others as a man that is not to be messed with. He is strong and cunning not afraid to do what others wont. He looks old and worn torn but the truth is..he is even older than he looks. He is older than 200 years due to a dumb decision he made when he was young. He was not born a werewolf but he was made to be one. When he was young he sought out the path to immortality. He did find what he was looking for but not before paying a terrible price and becoming the one thing he hated most. He was a witch hunter long before he was a wolf he despised them for what they did and so he hunted them the wolves and the witches along with the vampire and any other supernatural being. He was lost after being turned and he tried ending his life many times but each time he failed. He eventually decided that he should put his new found powers to use and he funded a secret society nobody ever knew the leader of the pack was a werewolf. He made up stories to stay a shadow behind the society of new monster hunters. They were feared in all the land and as times changed to did they. He finally became used to his new life and he hunted the creatures from the shadows werewolf fighting werewolf. He would never be one of them he never would be able to come to terms fully. His pack is still loyal to him but there not wolves his pack are the ones in the society he trusts to keep his secret they help him run the program. They get cycled out on missions though and when that happens a new trainee is chosen and tested to find out if they are worthy to know who runs the operation.
