, unfortunately I haven't ever won, but I've been doing it for years and I just gotta keep cracking away at it!
Your English is probably better than mine at this point! lol
Congrats on catching up!! That is stupendous :)
- Well, maybe this will be the year! Do you go to any community events? Most places whole at least one all night write-over, I like going to those cus it's a great way to get caught up!
- Yeah, but I have to work today, and then in the evening pack for vacation on saturday, hopefully I can find time to hammer out 1667 words before the end of the day!
Yeah, I'm going to be traveling for most of Friday evening and then visiting family on Saturday, and next weekend I'm going to be out of town the entire time. That's why I'm trying to power through quickly and get ahead just in case. Fingers are crossed for you to be able to keep it going!
- aak, only 20 minutes before I have to leave for work! Can maybe get 300 words in, but that's like 1/5 of what I need!! Hopefully my packing won't take too long!
I was a language major in college, but I can't even fathom writing a novel in anything but English. My brain would probably short-circuit. Huge respect to you :)
I am still pretty desperate for feedback, and the other site I was trying to look on to get some just announced that they were going to shut down soon, so everyone is bailing out pretty fast there. I add the chapters to a Google Drive/Doc when I completely and would love some help from people who would be willing to comment and make suggestions as frequently as they want to. I love getting that kind of feedback and it really helps me feel like my story is as polished as it could be. Anyone that helps will be given a form of acknowledgement or credit after all of this is over!
I am not going to require that the readers be over 18, because that would be too limiting, but do know that I am classifying this story as Supernatural Erotic Romance.
PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF EVEN REMOTELY INTERESTED
I NEED HELP HERE GUYS
Thanks, ~Molly

- Wow already almost halfway?? jealous I'm barely keeping up myself, but I'm going to at least try to stay ahead of the game. Anyway, sent you an message. :)
- Yeah, I took french immersion in grade school, and by the end of it we were having to write full storys/essays and other general composition in french, it was hard! Kudos to you for writing in a second language! Especially English, english is a stupid language, grammar wise, it almost never makes sense!
Thanks!
I am still looking for other people as well! Hit me up

You might find that people are more available after the actual month of November. I know I, personally, can't take on any further responsibility with my own project hanging over my head like an anvil. I don't even read or play video games during NaNo because it yanks me out of the world I'm creating.
After NaNo, when things calm a bit, ask again and I might be able to take you up on it :)
Makes sense. I just tend to thrive on feedback TT^TT I'm the kind of person that tends to be like screw the first draft! haha

I know what you mean - I hate revising! Sadly something I desperately need to learn, personally... I think my writing will be much stronger for it. Normally I have my gf read everything I write as I'm writing it, but with NaNo especially I've been trying to write all month, go through and edit myself afterward, and then have her read it and give me her opinions on things.
It takes a long time, and while I'm all by myself it's pretty lonely, but it feels... like I'm getting all the words out in a huge stream-of-consciousness, then making them understandable, and then seeing where my own frame-of-reference makes things hard for another person to follow.
I have my fiance read it every now and then, but he's just like, "Its good, I like it!" And that's great and all, but it doesn't help. Are my character descriptions good? Are the relationships believable?
My main problems come from my sometimes immature writing style and word choice, and he is at about the same level as me when it comes to writing, so he doesn't really notice things that I need blunt people to point out to me.
I wish that editors would just troll around NaNo, looking for things to hone their skills on haha

- I'm the same way, I thrive on people giving me feedback :) Hopefully I can give you some good critique. I'm better at just grammar at stuff (I used to beta fanfic, and whenever I tried to give plot/relationship feedback the authors were like NO. and I was like... oh ok backs away slowly) I'm glad I have my sister reading mine cus she gives great feedback, but unfortunately she's way to busy to read anything right now, she's working 14 hours days in the field pretty much until christmas.
I take all feedback into consideration, at least. I'm not going to change my story to some pandering mess, but I also don't want it to specifically pander to myself by default. I want to find that happy middle ground.

Seems like I start every evening looking at my current scene and wanting to scrap the whole thing because I've forgotten where I'm going... and this is after outlining everything in great detail!
- I know the feels OTL.
Hoping that switching out characters again (yay scene change) will help, but just feeling really drained today. I was going to say that I have no good reason for being this tired, but then I remembered that it's Thursday and I'm always half-dead by the end of the week x_x
How are things going on your end? Progress happening for you?
- Haven't written anything yet today, but I'm only just getting back form work, so hopefully I can plunk out 1666 words in the next couple hours. Then I need to pack. Flipping between scenes and characters can be a great help sometimes. I tend to do it a lot, but again, planning on making a comic/manga, so gotta break it up now and then to keep it interesting! I'm about to be at a pretty fun part I think, the second meeting of the MC group, and the current antagonist!
