- Haha! You sticking around for a bit? I need to go pack, but would be up for more word wars later.
no I haven't yet gone to a write in thingy, but I have a writers group I go to every month anyhow. I have a couple friends who are participating so we may get together and do like a small coffee write in group.
I guess English it is, then! I would think it's more limited than Danish (in my experience with different languages, I usually find them to be much better at being descriptive than English) but I've never actually tried to learn Danish, and I don't really remember the Swedish and Norwegian that I learned in college :)
Haha good point! We have so many rules that we break that even awkward sentences make sense anyway.
How are you doing, by the way? Feel like you're getting some momentum now?
Hey guys, I'm awake now :I My weekly goal is to get to 25k, but I dunno. I need to start the next scene, but I just came off a chapter I'm really proud of, and it actually made me realize that I needed to go a different way with it all.

- Haha, commas are the worst! You actually have to sit down and think about them to use them correctly. I remember my english professor in junior high was so appalled at how so many of his students misused commas that we stopped our regular curriculum for a whole week so he could teach us how to properly use commas! And I still have trouble!
- well that's good then. I find that I write better when I get away from my house for a bit.
- I think you can still make it! A new direction doesn't have to mean scrap everything!
Oh no, nothing was scrapped, but I wasn't in a writing mood. SO I DESIGNED THE COVER AND I LOVE IT

- I meant like scrap the outline or original plot direction, if you had one, you can probably still use elements from it! Awesome! Nano sent me an email a while ago that was like "Upload a cover image for your nano, you are 67% more likely to win if your story has a cover art!"
Its all about your inspiration haha

I uploaded a cover image from the beginning but I don't feel any more or less motivated, personally XD I just look at it every time I go to update my word count and wonder if I should use a different picture instead.
- lol yeah, I uploaded a picture for mine last year just because I had are of the characters anyway, I don't think it changed my results at all!
- tru dat. :)
Ugh not enough time to really get anything done between now and taking off, but on the plus side we decided to take the Kingston ferry instead of driving around (traffic is gnarly right now). Maybe when I am back in a couple hours someone would be up for a ? :)
Edit: Any folks around on this Friday night? Just feeling very unmotivated and having a hard time staying on-track by myself ^^;
- am for a bit, but feeling tired and have to get up early tomorrow. Going to be behind today, but hopefully I can make up for that on the plane tomorrow!
Good luck!! I wrote a little bit on the ferry, myself, but then I completely lost my train of thought and now everything I get out is a huge struggle. I know I should just shelve it and come back to it later but I'm just too damn stubborn.
If you've got a longer flight, that might be a good opportunity to really get some words down :) Plug into headphones and just tune out the whole world~
- Yup, that's the plan. Unfortunately the flight isn't direct, so I have a layover, which is always a drag, but hopefully 3000 words jump out of my brain and onto the paper tomorrow!
Well, maybe you can take advantage of the layover too? Unless it's one of those awful ones where you're sprinting from one side of the airport to the other because the flights are at completely opposite terminals, and you've got half an hour to literally RUN all the way and pray there aren't huge lines at the security checks?
- I think it's gonna be one of those awful sprinty ones! But that means faster into the air to get writing again, with a little break for exercise in the middle!
