we have a heat protocol national and at work. Above 25 degrees i am not showering people as the shower really gets way to hot and stuffy for us. And we close all curtains and windows during the day. And they krank up the AC's in the hallways, our residents open there doors so they can have some cool air to.

I had no internet on thursday so i can sympatize with you. I don't turn into something nasty or unloveable.

Seems everything works on it, and then you can't acces it. We had a malfunction somewhere in the system, took almost all day to fix. So turned on my dvd player and watched Downton Abbey, so i can remeber it all before movie 3 comes out next month.

Yesterday i had a creative afternoon with friends in Groningen, about 75 minutes away with train from where i live. Worked in my journal.... for nothing as it got stolen when i was getting dinner.. no money in it just pics and my creativeness..

OMG how low can people get to steal your journal? That's just awful. And awful about the internet too. But at least you had a good time before that.

I have tons of DVD's but my player died a long time ago. We're going to get a new one when we set up our control center. Idk what else to call it. lol It will have several game systems - I can't wait to play Mario 64 again - and maybe the other Nintendos as well, and Playstations and whatever else too. It will be neat on the big TV. And the DVD player of course just to watch movies. That will be a while yet, but we already have most of the equipment. It will be fun.

Yes completely life changing when the internet went public. I remember before that, and before cell phones. We had rotary phones forever. When the cell phones came out I resisted at least 10 years before I got one. And that one was my daughter's old one. lol And now I carry my phone not only with me when I leave home, but from room to room. I hate going to the bathroom without it, because Heaven knows I must play my games or color by number. Must be entertained every moment! Snicker, but I know its true... I thought it was so cool when the bank I worked at got push button phones. Amazing! And when we went from adding machines to the sleek calculators with the tape - OMG. I was in Heaven.

I have to say tho that as much as I do love technology I have my limits. I'm a dinosaur. I can't understand how to do half the things my phone can do, or programs on my computer, etc, that just about any 8 year old can. When something happens and whichever is not working, I just stare at it in disbelief. Wth? Then I try the turn it off and count 20 seconds thing. If that doesn't work, I panic and call my son.

- omg, lmao, I don't know how to use my cell phone. My hubby spends the money for me to have a cell phone and I don't even know how to make a call on it. Why? Because my hubby, in his infinite wisdom doesn't not ( well, didn't reallly because we had a huge ffight about this and he turned it on) turn the screen reader on for me. He feels that I should be able to figure out what I'm doing just by memorizing the ways there are to swipe through content on the phone. I finally got through to him that I can swipe with three fingers all I want but if I don't know WHAT I'm swiping it won't make any difference. I finally won the battle by asking him if he would let me use my new computer with out the screen reader. He said "No." And it dawned on him. Yeah. And I've had the phone for 5 years now... 😂 So, I'mnow learning how to use facebook on my phone. Like I need fb. XD XD I've got a proposition for you so I'll smail you later. Don't let me forget. :D

Everyone - What constitutes "PG-13" to you? Some cursing? Does the F word automatically make it not pg-13? Just curious. :D

I'm trying to get my pets the perfect jobs which means intelligence. Right now Birch is the hardest to do as I want to get him into SAI and they need 500 intelligence and I think he's a little over 300 intelligence right now.

So I think censorship is stupid and how movies get the ratings they do has destroyed my last brain cell. With that being said...a PG-13 movie can say the F word ONLY ONCE. Then there's sexual and violent content that tends to be toned down for a PG-13 rating but ramped up with an R rating.

- Ok, books coming to you. I tend to just dump them through the "give to a friend" link so be prepared. 😆 I'm currently trying to get my pets to the top of the "Criminal" and "Space" job ladders and they both require over 400 books. They currently have like 300 or so. So I'm gling through a lot of books. That doesn't even take into account the 4 other pets that I still have to start in their perfect jobs yet. I do have a pet that is the top of SAI and it takes a relative butt-load of books to get them up there. XD XD Thanks for the pg-13 info. I'm not sure what it takes any longer since I never bothered with that stuff when my kids watched movies.If I watched it, they watched and I just explained, in terms they could understand, what they didn't understand. :D

Thanks. Besides helping Birch, Sarah Connor was finally about to get that promotion. I was using mainly Mystic Spindles and quests that gave out rewards of items that could improve intelligence. And then laxing for a week or so before getting off my butt to get back to work xD

I like watching behind the scenes stuff and sometimes they go over what they had to do for the censors. In the show Hannibal there was a scene where the killer set up his victims like angels. The censors only cared about that scene for one reason: OMFG YOU CAN SEE THEIR BUTTCRACKS! OMFG?!

So the solution was to put blood in the buttcracks.

Actually, PG 13 to me means some adult content, but brief. No one under 13 should see any of it. I don't care that they prob do elsewhere, they shouldn't in a theater. If a parent or guardian thinks it's ok at home, fine. It's their prerogative. If it's PG17 or R, then its sex, nudity, violence, and language and a lot more of it. I don't care what the parent says, no kid under older teen should be let into a movie with that rating at all. Esp any little kids obviously under 10. I think I remember ranting about this before when my son and I went to see SAW and there were 3 or 4 (maybe 5? I don't remember now) little kids prob 4 - 7 with 3 adults in there. They screamed and cried and hid behind the seats, obviously traumatized, and the adults completely ignored them. Not only should those kids never have been in there because of the horror, but also because the rest of us in the audience couldn't really watch the movie with the noise either. The whole situation was wrong and the adults had no consideration for their kids, so they sure as Hell didn't for the rest of us.

Going to do that now. :) I have no idea why he could not correlate the two but for some reason he thought that me being able to do the swipes equated me being able to "see" the screen. He definitely understands the difference now. I went atomic on him about it. LOL This was a few months ago, though, so things aren't rocky right now. :D

- Sorry it's so hot there. We're in the low 70s here with rain. We have a hurricane coming up the coast and it'll be here late Thursday. Such fun! Not. A routine change could be for the good. :) Glad you started a new journal. :D

YouTube is a totally different story. It does not run off of normal logic. I think now you have to wait a certain amount of seconds before you can start cursing. If you don't you'll get demonetized. And then there's the AI that automatically accuses you of copyright when that isn't the case.
