My Uni used online books whenever it could. I rarely got books in the mail. It was nice because I didn't feel guilty about selling books I would never use again. For some reason I always have trouble selling uni books. :/

At Southern Cresent I always sold them back to the bookstore. Considering that by the end of my stint there, they had paid me over 1500 to go to school there....i didn't lose out even when I got 5 bucks back for a 60 book LOL At Mercer, they have the bear book bundle, and its rental books. I decided it wasn't going to be worth my time/effort to hunt down books anywhere else and just take whatever the cost of the bundle was per semsester. Most of my stuff is paid for by PELL and my DECAL scholarship anyway. If I could get the stupid student loan set up right, I'd only be getting like $500 or less per semester but I am NOT fiddling with it anymore, I am just accepting it and then letting them refund me whatever isn't needed after the DECAL scholarship goes through.

I try to do ALL my quests every day hahah I don't always manage it. When I am not at work OR school I can just fine. Some days I can do it, some days I just am not in the mood, other days I just don't have TIME!

My first stint at Uni, I did sell the books back to the uni. Didn't make much back though. My second stint was more lucrative. It seems like no one can get their student loans set up correctly. Both my middle daughter and my youngest one had the hardest time getting their student loans set up. I think it's because both their dad and I are on disability, which I found weird. But, they were going to the same school but for different majors but in the same year and both ended up with different loan set-ups. Oh, just gotta love the government. 😂

These days, it takes up all my time to stuff trees. I want to make sure my friends all have something under their trees and I've realized I have a lot of friends. XD I'm not complaining, though. I find the retail therapy relaxing and will probably continue to stuff trees even after I've stuffed all my friend's trees. But, Saggi is the quest this weekend so I may give it a whirl. :D

I've tried each day or so to spend my on hand sp gifting my friends lol I have like 4 friends left to buy for And then I'll have to decide if I want to spend my 35mil shop profits on more gifts or not Because I can't touch the 600mil shop profits until Dec 31. But I can spend the other shop tills if I want lol

[edit] Saturday Dec 21 948am I am seriously annoyed by this dumb dog. She has decided it is a great idea to pull the grass carpets up (I have them in the dog pen so MUD doesn't get in my; house.) And guess what - I now have several freaking lines of MUD pawprints up and down my hallway as well as muddy paw prints across the livingroom and my bedroom from where she runs allllll over the place when she comes inside after digging!!! So now I have to vacuum, shampoo, sweep and mop before Christmas!! Which I would have vacuumed anyway to get up the dog fur and regular dirt. But now I have to do the other. GRRRR

Poor quests, they've been so neglected lately.. :P

I just realized that the tags came off of two of the bags of wrapped gifts that I did and I have NO. CLUE. Who they are for. But I'm not breaking into the tissue paper to figure it out os.. that's a Christmas morning problem, I think :P

Ooops. Yeah, I'm sure you can figure it out on Christmas morning. I mostly use wrapping paper, not bags, and lately (quite a few past years and this year) I've chosen to use one type of wrapping paper per person, so even if I forget to add a tag, I still know who it goes to LOL And I still get to have a variety of wrapping paper under the tree that way too, since there is 6 of us, plus since I got some things for Ryan, and I wrapped things FROM Shane, I have two extra types lol

That's what I used to do.. but I used the same roll of wrapping paper this year because I had it and I was tired of looking at it :P

BUT.. I only wrapped square or rectangle things, everything else got wrapped in tissue paper and put into a big bag.

Which would have been FINE... if the tags hadn't fallen off :P

Well if I ever use up enough wrapping paper (and don't buy more on sale after Christmas) I might end up using only one or two rolls of wrap instead lol But I like having a variety. And it does make it so much easier when each person has their own wrap. Mine has trucks on it, Nathans is both red and blue Nintendo (Mario Party, Mario Kart), Shane has a moose, Katie got gingerbread/santa holiday wrap, Wesley got Christmas lights, Anna got words (Merry & Bright). I wrapped Ryans things in HIS wrap that he left with me, its red plaid on one side and green stripes on the other LOL And the things I wrapped from Shane were put in solid red. The things I'm wrapping from Annas dad is in Santa Claus paper and if I run out of that, in word paper (Merry Christmas) I have a new roll of gnome wrap for me when I run out of truck paper :P That, and the word paper is a very small roll, so it won't last past next year. The gingerbread/santa holiday and the christmas lights are HUGE rolls! There is still a whole roll of the green/red reversible wrap of Ryans, and a whole roll of the moose wrap. I think my truck roll is fairly new as well (I got two/three packages of that wrap that year LOL - it was a 3pk of the truck, red and moose paper).

You both are making me feel very unproductive today. lol None of our gifts are wrapped. I even had Amazon (or whereever, if they had it available) wrap the gifts we mailed out for us. You see, I'm not lazy, just very very efficent. 😂

Oh yes very efficient to have Amazon do the wrapping!! I like wrapping tho! Lol

I left and went and played Mario monopoly and the phase 10 with my neighbor and her sister Poor sister is I think getting dementia, and ended up very confused by some of the Mario monopoly rules ... And then forgot how to make sets in phase 10. It was still a lot of fun. Neighbor wants to borrow my games for when her son and his girlfriend come for Christmas so I left them there. I took both Mario monopoly games and the Mario life game.

While I was gone, Shane came and dropped off money and left like my house was on fire. Sheesh. I didn't even get to see him. I thought he was staying so I didn't rush home since we were playing phase 10. I was gonna see if he was staying for dinner but guess not since he left. Having pot roast, macaroni, cornbread and veggies. Did NOT take the dog because he is going out on the road over the weekend to make up for being off some days next week.

Oh I only get digital books if I can help it, now, for college. Then they "return" themselves (disappear from my library after 6 months to a year). Plus with physical books, it weighs my backpack down because they tend to be thicker than they need to be.

Speaking of trees, I wish I could see who gifted me so I can gift back! (I already gifted a few friends including you and Mieke, Kat!)

Wonder how Mario monopoly works? I know each version can be unique in its rules. Aww bless the sister for her cognition troubles with dementia! It's hard to see someone slipping into that, even if I see it often where I work.

Oh I love Mario monopoly!! The main changes are that you drop coins on the board and pick them up as you pass them, and you have boss battles (or races, in the case of Mario kart version) when you pass go. And when all 8 boss battles/races are done, the game ends and you add up points to see who wins. (We don't bother with that we play for fun). Each character has special abilities too that add to the fun. And yea. I bought ALL the characters when I bought the game lol Mario kart version only has 4 characters. But the Mario gamer has at least 10 characters you can play as.

[Edit] 835am My real Christmas tree is all dried up and crunchy and I was scared to turn the lights on in case it caught on fire. So I removed it and put up my fake tree this morning. I want to be able to turn on the tree lights and enjoy them! And I put the gifts under the tree too. So these dogs better behave!!!

Alex opened my Christmas present tonight because we couldn't wait any longer.. so we made slushies! We tried orange pineapple sunny d first but that probably wasn't the BEST thing to try first.. so then we poured that back into the container and we'll try again tomorrow, then we did a pepsi slushie and that was really good.. quite pepsi slushie like :P

THEN we made strawberry milkshakes, and that was really good too! Just milk, cream, and strawberry nesquick LOL.

Tomorrow we might try an adult slushie.. or maybe not yet IDK :P But I'm still SO EXCITED and I love it. I bought 200 drink umbrellas haha. So tomorrow, something tropical!

Annnnnnd I made some homemade cinnamon rolls for tomorrow for breakfast!

Anyone have any Christmas Eve traditions?

So far so good, they e gone over and sniffed and I've yelled to make them leave it. Daisy made Belle run over to that area only once so far. And I yelled them to leave it.

Nathan and I watched the Santa clause one and two tonight. We normally watch them Christmas eve but he has to work. And now im off to bed

[edit] 12/24 435pm I am SO ANNOYED I got a call from Shane. He got a notification that Belle's medication has been returned due to unable to deliver, no forwarding address WTH? So I called the vet place, they were closed (of course) so I left a message on the website thing, surprise :o they called me back! So I discussed the situation with them, they figured out that when Anna took Daisy in Warner Robbins, they UPDATED my account to THEIR info instead of making their OWN account and switching Daisy. So she did that for me. Separated the dogs info to me vs Shane. And reordered Belles prescription for me. Better NOT charge me 2x!! GRRRR BUT I am also annoyed because i completely forgot about this book that I've been waiting on and i checked the tracking and its been sitting in TAMPA since Dec 6th!! ? WTH?? So I tried tracking thru the post office instead of amazon, and it says its in transit "on its way to its next destination" since Dec 9!!. And since its been delayed, recommended I do a lost mail search or something....anyway I try what they say, they say I have to do something else instead, so I finally get THAT done. Who KNOWS where this book package is going, but whatever I filled out requests that if they find it it gets brought back to me at MY address.....it was sent to Tampa because - again - it said could not be delivered, forwarded to different mailing address ???? WTH??? MY ADDRESS HAS NOT CHANGED!!! The ONLY thing I can think that is causing that is that Katie recently moved and forwarded HER mail maybe? When she changed her drivers license to Rincon when she had to renew it earlier this year. So I am going to have to go INTO the post office and see what they can tell me about why TWO things have said they were undeliverable, when they are OBVIOUSLY still delivering mail to me as I got THREE packages today along with all my regular mail coming in normally anway!!! GAAAAHHHHHH

I have been doing it (not every day) and I did the wishlists two days and then went back to random items since, like you said, a lot of duplicates were happening. For me, most of my duplicates have been books, which is great since I read to all my pets, but some of the books I only need 1 of for my new pet.
