Hi ! Do you know why you are so tired all the time? Have you been sick? I hope you feel better soon if so! And thanks! I hope he starts getting more days soon, I think they're on a trial right now, kind of, to see what type of worker he'll be and how he does? He's had like 2-3 days each "working" week (paycheck to paycheck time period) so far. I think he is liking that he is earning money. He has said his feet hurt, (he is NOT used to being up on them so much hahahaha) but he will adjust to that given time. He told me our neighbor stopped in (the one we don't have TOO much contact with, not the one I play games with) and looked at him and then realized it was HIM lol and said HI and asked how he was liking his job. As for me, I'm super glad I've gotten good grades and am looking forward to the next semester, but also worried about it since I'll have FIVE classes (one semester long, practicum class - observation in my work classroom from the college teacher and me planning/observing/recording stuff on my kids, fun fun) as well as my regular 2 classes each 8 weeks (4 for the semester)....and THREE of those are supposed to be blended, meaning I have to go into the actual campus. So unless that changes, like it did LAST semester, that will be a new thing for me too. I know I'll need to get a parking pass if/when that ever happens and thats annoying to me because if I end up getting one for the mazda then switching cars with my brother to fix the mazda, then I need ANOTHER pass for HIS car - and I don't know how that will work - for it will be HIS car until Nathan is earning enough to help cover insurance before I make it MY car.

I haven't had covid, but I've had a cold for the past 6 weeks, everytime I think it's done it's not. I've done all the tests, etc.. just a cold. But it's so annoying :P

Congrats again on your grades, Kat! Ew on the parking pass, they can't just transfer it for you? They probably can, I can't imagine they wouldn't?

Lol mieke that is why I spread it over the month leading up to Christmas. A friend or two/three per day. (Depending on how much I feel like doing it). Trying to get everyone in just a few days is too much!!

I have no idea if they can transfer it. When I got a new car at sctc I had to get a new parking pass tag. Each pass is specific to the license plate. But since I literally didn't have the other car anymore, it didn't matter. (Mustang died, I got the Mazda) This will be a bit different Speaking of schools...what is up for El? Have they found another school?

I tried, but I only got a handful of people.. and only a handful of things! LOL. So I definitely needed to just.. SIT DOWN and DO IT. But I'm enjoying it anyway haha.

Ugh IDK what's going on, if they're going to do this next semester (while the school is pushing back for the accrediation, etc) or if they're going somewhere else. I don't want to bring it up.

Ok guys. BIG thing (sort of) happening here. My friend at work has wanted to introduce me to her hubbys friend. Well so. Tonight we are going all four together to look at Christmas lights and eat Mexican. Eeeep.

And I am dying laughing right now also cuz she texted it like "we have our friend Dex with us but it's no big deal we'll go see lights and eat Mexicans" And I just HAD to respond to her that I didn't want to eat Mexicans but I was ok with Mexican food 🤣

[edit] 6am We were out for two hours, we drove down to the light show, but it was not quite dark, so we went for dinner first, then went to the show. I had fun :)

EDIT 935 Ah Ah AH AH AHHHHHH Guys. SO my friend texted and said the guy asked if she could ask me if he could have my number. AHHH I am just like weirded out but also excited? He seemed like a nice guy. And as I told my friend, its not like I have any OTHER way to meet anyone except thru my friends. But guys! I don't know how to do dates. I honestly never really dated. My ex is like the only real boyfriend I had and is the only person I've ever been with....And I even mentioned him a few times last night and felt MYSELF being weirded out by that, but I honestly also feel its like that is part of life too tho? Like we have kids together, even if they're grown and he's going to be part of life regardless (especially when there are eventually grandkids involved) so its not like I can just non-exist him from my life. Like and now there is a billion random thoughts in my head about it all, and I need to chill because it was just ONE meeting and now we can talk and get to know each other a little more and I need to STOP freaking out I guess huh? (HELP!) EEP LOL

Yeah - he seemed nice. I would not mind getting to know him a little better. I guess nervous about doing it one on one tho? Like, I've only ever hung out in groups 90% of my time with people.

I did have fun, I mean, I was in the back seat with my friend from work and he was in the front seat, but we talked a bit and all. Had only a small moment alone when my friend and her hubby both went to the bathroom after dinner. (Which was just fine by me because like, WHAT do you say to someone you don't really know? LOL I think that moment he asked how many kids I had and so I told him and how old they were or something?) My friend said I talked more than he did, and she was surprised because she thought I'd be the quiet one and he would talk LOL But she said I was myself, and that everything was ok (Cuz like yeah, I was all like eeeeeep at her too a bit)

I TOTALLY loved seeing the lights. It was not quite as nice as Calloway Gardens (HUGE light show like 3hr drive from here that I've been to with the youth group) but it was really nice and fun to see. I love Christmas lights anyway :) So I would have had fun doing that even if I'd been by myself :P

I haven't ever really "dates" either so I'd be the same. Martin and I just went to the pub a lot, or walks, and chatted for hours on end for months. So maybe just start with going to a cafe or out for drinks where you can chat a bit more and there isn't a big expectation like a full dinner or whatever?

Or if you want to ease in a bit more, ask your friend if they'd mind doing something together again but maybe where you have a bit more of an option to chat alone if you want to?

Thanks Hollie :) We texted a little bit yesterday. Asking about things we like to do or eat. He said I could pick a movie I wanted to see and he'd get tickets, he likes to go to the movies a lot (like every weekend). Which I don't mind going to see a movie I really want to see, but I don't go to the movies just to go, so I basically responded that I had no idea what was in theaters right now and haven't been to see a movie in theaters in quite a while (like one of the new Star Wars or this movie about kids getting powers (Divergent?) was the last thing I went and watched and it was years ago).... I said I liked playing board games and card games and he didn't really respond to that so maybe he doesn't like that who knows! :P But he asked me to tell him when I wasn't busy (which is mostly more on weekends, but hard to say depends on how much schoolwork I have to do) and let him know if I want to go for a walk (TOO COLD) or to a movie. I really am more of a stay at home person than a go out and do things person, except when its nice out or something I REALLY want to do (like when I go to the renfair every year) lol I can change that, but its just finding something I'd want to go do. I don't MIND going for walks, in nice areas, but not when I get super cold like I would right now. Group things for a bit would probably make me more comfortable. So I probably will talk to my friend (as I'll be more comfortable talking to her about that lol)

I can't believe December is almost over. In a week I'll have to be back at work and college classes too! I've enjoyed being lazy and doing nothing, but it will be nice to get back to a routine.

Edit: 11am Oh. Guys. I just picked up my phone (it's been on the charger). And I saw a text from my old neighbors new wife. He passed away last night. I feel so sad. He and his first wife were like an extra set of grandparents to my kids. They were always so sweet to all of us, and even after his first wife died, and he later remarried and moved to live with his new wife, they still kept in touch with us.

My new neighbor that I play games with is the one who bought his house when he moved...

- Thank you for the lovely Lumi gifts. I meant to thank you all much earlier but my right hand is swollen with gout. Today, the swelling is down to just the pinky and I'm able to type a bit. So, you get a group thank you instead of individual ones. I really liked the gifts and hope that you all had a wonderful Lumi, holiday (which ever one you celebrate,) and a very happy New Year! From the way my hand is feeling while typing this I may be a few more days before I'm back here regularly. It's really made this Lumi difficultas I didn't get to participate in everything I wanted to but I still had a good time. Hugs ❤ :D

Guys tomorrow is my 20th wedding anniversary wtf. We're going to the big aquarium though! We got a hotel in Philly for two nights, so we can spend all day Thursday at the aquarium without having to worry about driving 3-3.5 hours, and then we'll get up and drive home Friday. I'm REALLY excited about the aquarium, though. And they have HIPPOS!!!!!!!!

Thanks - :( I have not told the kids yet and I know I should. I did tell Ryan. The services are Friday, Shane especially was super close to Mr Eddie when he was younger. Congrats on 20 years!! Have fun at the aquarium!! I can't say I would have ever thought they'd have HIPPOs at the aquarium!?! Last time I went to one, Nathan was still small enough to be in a stroller - so like 2-3yrs old? LOL It was fun and I always wanted to go again, but the cost of everything is ridiculous and keeps getting worse. Hard to make myself go spend $ on that. Not so hard to make myself spend money on RenFair so I guess that tells what I really like LOL

As for this new guy, well yeah. That is kind of what I am thinking too, that at least I could make a new friend, (or just give them a 4th person to hang out with as a group, if nothing else - but I have no idea how often they hang out as a group!) I am trying to decide if/what to ask him to do this weekend, movie or walk, or just go eat a meal somewhere.

It's the only aquarium with hippos in the US! And I really love them so I'm excited haha.. though I also like just watching the fish and such. And jellyfish! And turtles!

My kids have annoyed me. So first it was going to be me and Nathan and Asher tonight. Then Shane asked if him and Anna could come, so I checked with Nathan and Asher. so they came....and had me puppy sit all afternoon while they ran around 🙄 And then Nathan asked if he and Asher could go get nino and go to the park. So now instead of all of us or just me Nathan and Asher....it's me Shane and Anna. Sigh.

730am Happy New Year's!! Nathan came home about 10ish. So we did get to do fireworks together at midnight. 😊 945am Finished my quests (including Sarah) and turned in 115 New Years Tokens

Phew. LOTS of books. Lots of minions. Some food, stickers and treasures bought. Some wishlist sorting going on now, to help me choose what to buy all during the year from my onhand sP while my shop till builds up again!

Mieke, Congrats on making it 20 years! The Philly aquarium has hippos? Oh, I wish I could go see them! I wonder if I go they will let me in the enclosure so I can go "see" them with my hands. Then again, I'sd probably end up hippo chow so bad idea... 😆 😂

Thank you, for the yay and the condolences. Will go to visitation today. I don't like doing funerals, so I probably won't do anything except the viewing and say goodbye to him. Nathan will go with me, and Ryan is coming, I don't know if Shane will be home in time to go. I didn't hear anything back from Katie so she probably isn't coming. Its a 3-4hr drive for her to come.

124 NY Tokens today. Still need to do Battle and Drills. Finished all other quests, started with Sarah since I was broke first thing this morning. I really am glad I learned that if you have less than a mil onhand sP and no sP in the bank/vault that you can do Sarah! If the sP is in your shop till, it doesn't count! Gives me 15 more chances to earn a bit of sP and to get quest points! (my main reason for doing Sarah is quest points) and in events like this, NY Tokens, and a few more chances for floating items during those events.

Yeah, Well, the aquarium is in Camden, NJ, but that's basically Philly haha. And it was SO COOL YOU GUYS we got there right when they opened (after walking two miles down the waterfront and then a mile and a half back to the aquarium LOL) and we were the first ones in to see the little blue penguin feeding, and they were really active right befrore that, playing in the water and such. The guide said later in the day they don't really swim as much. And then we saw a hippo feeding, which was neat. But they were really active too, jumping up and down on the bottom of their pool.. and I got to see their hippo ear wiggles! Then we walked around and ate lunch, then we saw the second hippo feeding.. then we walked around.. then we saw the third hippo feeding LOL.

... then we went home because we had been there 5 hours and we were tired and had seen everything we wanted to see, including a lot of time just.. sat in front of some things. It was a great trip!

Katt, I don't blame you for not going to the funeral. I'm not good with funerals, either, so I usually don't go. I think the important thing is that you get an opportunity to say your good-byes. :)

Mieke - Oh, that's so cool! I love penguins, too. They're so cute when they run around and swim. It seems that that aquarium would be about 5-6 hours away from me so it would have to be a special trip. I'm not sure I can convince hubby to drive 6 hours to an exhibit I can't even see just because it has hippos. Oh, well. I'll just imagine it. ;) 😂 I'm glad you had such a good time. :D
