Two of my classes were open, so I was browsing and stuff. I did my "getting to know you" project (power point). I'll upload it tomorrow probably. Thats always easy to do. (and I have to respond to 2 people) The book isn't available til tomorrow, but I printed the articles and stuff the teacher wants us to read, so I'll probably do that today and read the book tomorrow - then I have to do a discussion post on what I read and respond to 2 people later. AND we have to watch a video and critique the teacher/lesson in the video too. AND respond to 2 people! Sheeeeesh. This is one of the blended classes and I looked ahead, and YAY I could find when the in-person classes are - so I know I go in person on the last Monday of Jan and Feb :P I printed off the info from the other class that's open last semester so I just went in and UPDATED the due dates on the papers I'd printed back then (this is the class they put me in and took me out of, the practicum/field work class) lol I will have to log back in and see when orientation is because I didn't see a date for that. No regular meetings for that class except orientation. The third class is online only, no in-person, and might not open til later, as its a Thursday class.

yay for being a team! and getting it done. I sooooo wish Nathan would clean up his room. Its a disaster. I try my best to ignore it unless the trash builds up too much sigh

and yes, I also hope evilredduckie is doing well - must be better at least since you were on to post a bit? :)

Good for you for hopping on the ball! Sounds like you're in for another good semester.. and thankfully not TOO many in person classes?!

Iz and I are back at the laundry.. doing her clean laundry she washed yesterday, and also everything that I put away for her to grow into because uh.. it looks like she has, since we put it all away in August :/

Well not this 8 weeks. I looked and Henry (me) has 2 in person, atlanta has 2 and Douglas has one. And there are 3 asynchronous days (no meeting in person or zoom either). But next 8 weeks will both be blended classes. So probably at least 4 in person classes then. I only have 2 this 8 weeks since one class is online only (zoom)

It's snowing here! Snowing! We haven't had snow in, say, 2 years, and that was just a light dusting that was gone the next day. I know I should be upset for all the safety issues but we've got snow! I miss it from when we lived in Minnnesota. You never realize how much you miss something until you go without it for a while. The last time it snowed this much here in Virginia was 2016? And by snowing I mean more then a dusting. Oh, I'm so giddy. Hubby says I'm insane. 😆

Anyways, I'm doing ok. The gout is almost gone from my right hand. Hopefully I'll have more then 1 week between bouts of gout. You know, since I have to have it I wish I had it in my foot like every other person in the universe. o.O

Once my kids turned 18 I stopped going through their drawers and told them that if they need new clothing then they had to go through what they had and get rid of whattever they didn't like/want/wear for what ever reason and then I'd get them new. Yes, I still buy clothes for my kids. :P But they have to get rid of the stuff they don't want first. When they were below 18 we had clothes parades. Theywould have to try on every piece of clothing they had and prove why they should keep it if it didn't fit, was torn, or some other "Mom" reason they should get rid of it. They rarely won those battles. 😂

Glad to hear the gout is almost gone, and yes. Foot might just be better than hand. Poor you~! Oh lucky you!! I love watching the snow fall!! Mieke is probably tired of it hahahah!! We have a small chance (here in Georgia) to get some snow Friday. It says rain on my phone but the temps are in the low 30s. Soo.....we are hopeful LOL I love love LOVE watching it snow. I don't want it to stick. (It can, but it doesn't have to!).

Ok PHEW ya'll. I got my approval letter today for the DECAL scholarship. The finacial aid person never emailed me back today, so I replied to him on my own message and told him I got that notice and that hopefully the college would get it and the funds soon. So I THINK I am safe now from being removed from classes :P I owe just around the top amount DECAL will pay, and I don't think they'll kick me out for a couple hundred bucks (if not fully paid by DECAL) before asking me to pay it. (I realized yesterday that I had gotten an email stating I had to pay the remaining balance before the first day of class - today - and I didn't because I knew the DECAL scholarship would cover all if not most of it, but then I realized the DECAL scholarship isn't showing at the college yet so yikes, and I emailed him this morning about it....but now phew.)

I am not going to make Nathan go thru his clothes, tho like you, if he tells me he needs something, he's gotta clean that crap up and show me he got rid of something before I buy him more. Tho, I did buy him PJ pants, one pair just before Christmas (and then Christmas PJ's which he won't wear but still) and just this weekend I saw PJ pants on sale for $5 a pair so I got him two more. So now he has plenty of PJ pants I also did the fashion walk in order to keep clothes HAHAH if it didn't fit or was too yucky I made them get rid of it too. But it wasn't usually a fight, because they don't like stuff that didn't fit or was nasty either :P

edit: 450pm Uuuuhh one of the "suggested" reading documents the teacher put up is 74 pages :o I may NOT read that. I generally read whatever they put up, but umm?? Come on! 1-2 page, yep. 5-10 page, sure. 20 page, ok I guess I will... but beyond that? REALLY? Thats a whole freaking BOOK or something LOL edit2: 840pm Finished all my reading and got my discussion post written, but not submitted yet.

[edit] Tuesday 345pm Got an email today from the college that the college received my scholarship letter, and they credited me the funds. Phew. :D Now I get $250 refunded to me lol I have orientation for the practicum (field work) class today at 630. No idea how long that will last, but I hope she really goes over everything because its a bit different than a normal class.

Mieke is indeed tired of the snow already this year :P

But I'm happy for you guys who don't get it often!

And I'm glad you're feeling a bit better, !

Kat, yay for the scholarship stuff going through!

Sorry guys, back to school means back to busy again :P Drama club started up (for the play, obvs. Lily is a mer-sister and a princess), and this week we're hosting district orchestra starting tonight and going through Saturday, so that means longer days at work thursday and friday and long nights because of the music thing so. Meh. :P

We were told to create an "at home lesson plan" for in case school closes for Friday, so that we don't have to do a make-up day later :P So I spent half my day copying and sorting out an art project...because even tho they prefer us NOT to do them in the classroom, they always want one for the parents to do at home sigh :P AND I talked to the kinder teacher and para, to see if they were willing to help me, if the principal/vice P approves - which hopefully they will be ok with - me doing what the college professor said we had to...

Oh yes SO! At orientation - she comes up with "Oh if you want to do your student teaching in your grade level, I need you to do your practicum THIS semester in the OTHER type of classroom (Prek vs K). EXCUUUUUSE ME? But we already had it all planned out and set up for doing it in our own classrooms? So with a LOT of chaos, confusion and concern, she made TWO phone calls while we were IN orientation....and if I understood it right, came up with the solution that as long as we did PART of the time in the other grade level AND did a virtual seminar (which was already scheduled) we could do that other half of the semester in our OWN classroom - this equates to 1st 8 weeks I go into a K class and observe/assess ONE student. Then the 2nd 8 weeks, I observe/assess the WHOLE classroom in my own classroom. In addition to whatever seminars and stuff we have scheduled. I also need to clear this with the principal/vice P as the time spent OUT of my classroom and IN the K classroom will have to be covered (most likely) by the K para.

And my thursday night teacher has refused to open any assignments (they are viewable as a title but no instructions) until after our first zoom meeting tomorrow. Acceptable but annoying. So today I will work on the remaining item or two I have to finish in the other two classes for my first week, AND I plan to check out what I have to do for my professional learning class I did back in Dec for work so I can work on that too. SO MUCH! I almost hope Friday is off so I can do some work on all this hahahaha And stay AHEAD of it all.

[edit] Thursday 4pm SNOW DAY tomorrow. We (teachers) do have to do some PL. We had to put together packets for the PreK kids (finished those today), older kids take home chromebooks and teachers put assignments on that.

My canopy tent I park the riding mower under tore up under all the wind the last couple weeks, so today I moved it next to the dog pen (since I moved the dog pen!) and put a small tarp over it for now and reparked the mower under it in the new spot. I need to get a bigger tarp. And am debating using metal fence posts and the dog pen to hold the tarp instead of the canopy frame.

I have class at 530 today. Last of the new classes for this 8 weeks. I got permission from the principal/vp to switch in & out into Kinder class (he stated "YOU are responsible for finding a para to swap into your classroom, but other than that, its ok by me" lol I had ALREADY talked to a K teacher and her para so that was all done and good already). Still have NOT heard back from the professor that I understood it correctly but unless she tells me otherwise, I am going with it because I need to get started. Oh yes speaking of college - I got an email today that said I was on the Presidents list again :) Go me.

Kat, congrats on getting the scholarship. I bet that took a load off your mind. I always worried about all of my tuition being covered at the end of a semester. My financial aid rep wasn't as helpful as yours and I frequently had to hunt down things on my own or they wouldn't be credited by the school. It was aggravating but I took it as practice for when my youngest goes to Uni. Which I'm still hoping will happen but he is dead set against.

Both of you, kat and sound like you're in the middle of a chaos induced beginning of the semester. I don't envy you at all. I love shcool but disliked the start of the semester. It's always like people are running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

It's been freezing here so the 2 foot of snow we got hasn't melted at all. I hope you get the dusting of snow you're hoping for, Kat. Sorry you're sick of the snow, mieke. I'm still loving it. I didn't realize there's another storm coming in on Friday. I'm off to check weather.com. Hang in there ladies and stay warm! :D

wow 2 ft. We will maybe see 2-3 inches hahah!!

Yes. I hate when things take longer than expected to settle. It keeps me stressed out. So I am glad its all settled and good to go. I am still a little aaaaaahhhhh about some of the assignments (mostly the practicum, because I've never done it before) but I know I'll settle in and settle down as time goes on lol I always do. Don't stress over your son. If he changes his mind later, great. If not, he can get a job and still do good and have a good life. My youngest says NO to college too right now, but as you said, who knows, they may change their minds. I did, in my 40s hahah!

[edit] Class over Stupid exit quiz. I somehow clicked the wrong button on ONE answer and obviously (like half the class) chose the wrong answer on the 2nd question. So I got a 60 :P Meh. 2 points off my grade now. Oh well. Its only annoying because its showing I have a 60% hahahahah I know that will change as more assignments happen and get graded and this "exit quiz" is worth barely anything anyway. I got the "parent letter" written and submitted. And now I am working on the discussion question. She wants us to do as much of the stuff as we can tonight, so that we don't have to come back. I always have to come back. These people I am in class with do NOT know how to turn things in EARLY! (well, MOST of them don't)

It's actually the END of the semester here.. well, for the high school and elementary school, anyway! So that's a different chaos :P

Ugh guys we had a two hour delay for the cold yesterday (can't have kids riding busses with no heat for an hour in 3 degrees!), BUT that meant that our schedule was pushed back, and with the extra lunch.. ack!

And today we were supposed to have a plan but someone at the elementary called off so.. that throws that off because our person has to go down there.

Then back to the school tonight at 4 to do the kids banquet (for music, not the school!).

Also.. there's a job opening for high school secretary and I think I'm going to go for it again? I tried for the elementary school one and no one ever heard back, apparently they just hired the person who had been filling in. But both our secretaries are leaving this year (which is sad!) and IDK I think I have a shot?!

Go for it Mieke!! If you think you'll like it better than cafeteria!

Its been snowing/sleeting for about four hours. My yard is not completely covered but I was captivated watching it snow for about 30 mins around 7am LOL Its ice falling right now (sleet I guess? its not hail i can hear it falling like rain but its ice)

I've completed one of my 6 modules I have to do online today for my "at home/work day". I also plan to finish my last two assignments for classes and see if I can reply to anyone else's DB posts. AND do my reading I guess. :P I do NOT have a book for one of my classes (the observation/practicum class) but I showed the teacher it was saying there WAS no required material and she is all OH YES THERE IS! I'll contact the book store. I looked it up at the bookstore and it STILL told me there was no book for the class. I hope she figures it out. I hate not having a book. TWO classes last semester people didn't have books. I didn't have one of them but I had the other. Its so stupid that this is happening. One outspoken lady in class threatened to do a class action suit if it kept happening hahaha I wonder if she really will. It DOES impact our education, but its not the teachers fault either (unless the teacher somehow messed up marking the book as needed?) I think the lady was talking about suing the bookstore anyway, not the teacher/school in this case.

edit: 1015 2 PL down, 4 to go - the next two are really short so I might knock them both out before coming back here again lol I've been alternating a couple sets of quests with a module.

No rain, sleet, or snow here. At least not of this posting. I'm a little disappointed as I was looking forward to listening to it come down. We may still get a little this evening but I'm not holding my breath.

Good luck with your at-home assignments. I think the requirements of the class will become more clear as the class goes on. If they don't, ask. The worst thing that can happen is that the teacher says nothing. I think you'll do fine, though. Good luck to the chic who's going to sue the bookstore. What a waste of time. o.o

Mieke - Good luck getting the secretary position. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I think you'll do fab at the job. :) You honestly make me glad that all my kids are out of school and I don't have to be so busy anymore. 😂

Kat, I think it's our youngest's generation that feels that college is a lost cause. I know I thought that way at first only to go back like you did. I just hope that my youngest decides to go to college before he's 26 so he can take advantage of some of the programs out there for children of disabled combat vets. Right now, he can get his whole college experience paid for by one of those programs but he doesn't really understand what a boon that is and I don't know how to, or if Ishould, make him understand. XD

Its raining now :( All the snow is going away. At least it was here all day looking pretty.

I finished all the at home work modules. I worked on my demographics assignment (need info on two kids I was uncertain of in my class to finish) and now I need to re-read the article for the other class and write one more paper. sigh And now I have GOT to get it done...my brother is ready to do the car swap. So depending on what time he leaves tomorrow to head to Augusta, I'll have to head out to meet him or else drive to Augusta on Sunday instead (because if he leaves too late then I'm not going tomorrow, I do NOT want to be driving home late at night). And that will take time away from me having time to finish assignments, so good thing I had most of it done already. This thing is due Sunday night so I have to get it done. The other (where I need the kids info) isn't due til Wednesday night. I also emailed the professor of one class to verify if I have to do responses on BOTH the reading AND the video discussions or only the reading discussions. Two people have responded for that, and only one for the video so far. I HATE HATE HATE waiting on other people so I can finish my work. GRRRRR

330 Well brother called around 1 to say NO we aren't swapping cars. The part he ordered and was putting on before he left, wasn't the right part. So now he has to order a different one. Maybe next weekend. And next weekend is a 3day weekend, tho I do have a dentist appointment that Monday afternoon. I finished everything except the demographic assignment, since I need to talk to my co-teacher at school and get the 2 kids demographic data to finish the class part of that paper, then I can turn it in. And she put in the participation points, which brought my grade to an 80 hahaha :P 5 points for that too, every week. I'm sure it'll edge up as long as I get good grades on the rest of my assignments and stuff. Gotta get it back over 93 to get an A.

[edit] Monday Jan 13 - 950pm Well class got out at 8ish, but I stayed on working on stuff. Just logged off. It was an interesting experience, to be online and have the professor and some students in person. Poor professor had no idea where the camera showed things - he kept trying to be visible to us zoom meeting folks, and show us things but it got blocked by the computer because (weirdly) the camera wasn't ON the computer - I guess maybe it was on a projector or something? It was funny watching it zoom in and out on him as he moved in and out from around the desk area. OH and LUCKY US. The Henry group of students (all three of us) get to be the lucky ones to present things IN PERSON for both major assignments. Yay (NOT!). We have an individual literacy assignment we have to share on Jan 27th and a group literacy center on Feb 24th (sigh we just did one last semester but it was a different age level).

Wow that would be an AMAZING benefit! I think it's because he wouldn't have to take out loans that it doesn't mean as much. I have a good amount of debt from loans on my end!

Oh fun! More group projects! I hope that this is a better experience than some group work can be. I'll gladly send you some of my snow, Kat! :P Hopefully the rest of the at-home stuff goes well!

You should go for it, Mieke! Especially if it seems like you have a great shot at it! :D

I don't start until this coming Tuesday because of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 17 credits, but should be my last semester! Paying my down payment tomorrow, if all goes to plan. Grateful to have gotten a bonus and have worked enough last paycheck that it covers my school payment! :D

Hi Beth! I don't know. I haven't been in the wardrobe to change lately, but when I did (a couple weeks ago) it was normal for me. Also I'm not too sure about it costing money meaning it means more to get college education....that has no bearing for me really. I'd rather NOT take out any loans and go to college. I hate that I will have to pay some back for these last two years of mine. I think its more to do with you are ready to do what you need to do for the career/job you want to have....which would be why I am in college at age 47 hahahah :P And I HATE group projects. The other class has a "group" project too - but its more like a "Pair" project and I'm going to have to figure out what assignment its for because this teacher hasn't opened ANYTHING extra yet (one week at a time, which is nice on one hand and annoying on the other, I like to look ahead and plan ahead when I can) I need to get started on the single assignment I have to turn in in person two Mondays from now. At least the planning stage since I have to make the materials.

Late start on classes!! Glad you are in your final semester!! I can't wait to be finished but will also wonder what the heck to do with all my time (I felt a little lost during December hahah but enjoyed being able to read for fun!)

I have the little annoyance back (the puppy) - Anna came and brought her Wed night, spent the night, then went to meet Shane and get on the truck (was supposed to be yesterday but got changed) early this morning. Shane will take the dog later today or tomorrow morning for the weekend and I'll have her back by Monday sometime (if not Sunday night). I am hoping only 1-2 more weeks of puppy sitting. OF course, that then depends on how Anna ends up feeling when she ACTUALLY has the dog in her truck and doesn't just THINK its a great idea to do that. eyeroll I honestly feel like its going to NOT work. But I know people do it so hopefully it will. My thought is that if Anna DOESN'T like having the dog on the truck...the dog will be mine. I am NOT going to allow the back and forthing constantly just because they want a dog on the weekends Anna is home (Shane does NOT want the dog anyway and would rather I kept it over the weekends but I said NO not if you want it to stay HER dog! It has to be used to going home with YOU GUYS) I have not said that to them, that is my thought of what to say IF they ask me in that scenario.

[edit] Friday 6pm Just completed my first logging of hours for practicum. Also did my teacher assessment (questionaire I had to fill out) and purpose statement. I was compeltely confused by the rubric for the purpose statement. It didn't really make sense to the questions being asked to me....also the questions being asked didn't really seem to even connect to the class either in my mind. Whatever. I added a comment when I posteed it that I would be happy to resubmit the assignment based on feedback if I did not do it appropriately because the rubric only confused me.

I missed out on some time for the hours I need due to having to prepare and pack two days worth of "snow day" assignments for our kids. It is anticipated we might get snow Tuesday and school may close Tuesday and Wednesday. Since Monday is a holiday, we had to send stuff home today. And of COURSE yesterday the two lead teachers were in a training session all day so could NOT do any planning or finalization of stuff until today which left me scrambling to get it all done. SO I missed out my morning observation (that I was ok with it was only 15mins) and I missed out my afternoon one too but I did go in for like 15mins after the normal time I'd have left, just to get a bit more time. I was trying to get at least 5 hours. I guess if we get snow days I'll just be short hours next week. Oh well> I can make up hours in the next 8 weeks in my own classroom if I have to. Somehow. I hope.

[Edit] Tuesday 8am Well we are off work today for a snow day. We are still waiting to see about tomorrow. Nathan drove the car while it was out of oil so the Mazda is screwed. My mom and dad brought the buick from my brother to me and left again to beat the storm home. I did nothing yesterday because I was depressed and upset about the car issues But today I am working on college stuff.

Kat, mieke, whatevermaycome and all the lurkers...

Sorry I've been m.i.a. My left hand swelled up with the hand-gout and I haven't been able to type for the past 2 weeks. Today is the first day I've been able to type at all. I do have some good news, though. I had a doctor's appointment whle my left hand was swollen. She's concerned because hand-gout shouldn't act the way this is acting. Essentially what's going on is that one hand will swell and hurt for about 2 weeks and then I'll have 1 week of respite then the other hand will swell and hurt for 2 weeks. On and on it goes. It started when I got out of the hospital last July. So, the doctor is sending a physical therapist to the house to make a through examination and give their impressions on diagnosis. The doc is also sending me to get ultrasounds on both hands to make sure there is nothing insidious lurking somewhere (like a blood clot) causing this. Then we will go from there once we have all results. Hopefully that means she'll figure it out and it will have a medicine to help it go away. :)

Kat, is Anna driving trucks now? Wow, didn't know she had her CDL. I'd take the dog, too, if they kept bringing her over to stay like that. Has Annna figured out yet that you don't like her? You must be the world's nicest person if you've been able to keep that hidden from her while she's spending the night in your house. I'm not sure I could do that. You go girl! :D

Mieke, didyou apply for the position? I'm rooting for you! :D

Whatevermaycome - Congrats on entering your last semester of college. Any plans for when you're done? :D

hi sorry your gout is acting up again, good that you are getting ultrasounds and other tests to figure out how to help.

No idea if Anna realizes anything honestly. When she was actively living here, I could have sworn she knew I was unhappy about the whole situation, but she seems perfectly fine now to interact with me (maybe because she isn't living here? Maybe because she now thinks I don't know/care about the situation? I have no clue and no real interest in knowing and only wish I could be super ugly and say get lost, but I don't want to lose my son so instead I am nice. yes. Nice. sigh) She has another week, maybe two, of driving with a trainer and then will be in her own truck, yes.

I worked on a whole lesson plan and thought I'd done it correctly but yet once again, when I looked at the instructions something else caught my eye, and then I found a rubric and a sample lesson plan and now I feel I need to redo my whole lesson plan and activity because now I'm not sure I did it right at all and I'm so frustrated. No one has really taught us how to use these lesson plans or what to fill out in them. AND THEY ARE STUPID ANYWAY NO ONE uses this type of crap. i'm so tempted to just turn it in the way it is and be done but I am also so afraid of getting a bad grade. This thing is supposed to be presented Monday night IN PERSON and all turned in by that night too, along with responses to two peers. ARGH like wth i gotta respond to two peers lesson plans for?

[edit] Thursday 350pm I redid my lesson plan. I'm not sure I filled it all out correctly but it is better than it was before and I feel it aligns with what was required better. I'm still annoyed and freaked out over having to post it for everyone to see. To me that is NOT a good thing to do. sigh Now I have to do my other set of reading/video/discussion crap.

I just want to go read and relax again. But I spent all morning doing that instead of my classwork. Ugh. What a week. MLK day Monday, three snow days and I am waiting to hear if we go to work tomorrow or not. I am hoping NOT - but also ARE - we have 100th day tomorrow if we go. I'd like to have that over with, but chaos will ensue whatever day we go back and I think its stupid to go back on a Friday. (by chaos I mean, mat covers coming back, trying to get kids used to school routine again, me trying to get on track with observation time, etc etc) They sent out a notice yesterday reminding teachers that none of the snow days were "at home learning days" and no assignments are required to have been completed. I am wondering how that will work for the PreK students because we DO have different rules on our learning time.

Looking back I'm wondering if the diagnosis of hand gout was premature. The doc did say that my hands are acting as if something is compressed in my back except for one large symptom, tingling in the fingers, which I don't have. I guess we'll find out now. ;)

I admire you. I would have taken the ugly way by now and said something even if it was snarky and sarcastic. Hubby says my mouth has no filter and sometimes that's good. I know, I'll come down there and tell her for you. ;) I think you're a saint for putting up with it the way you do. Then again, I also understand why you are. I'd be hard pressed to not say anything if I thought my son wouldn't talk to me if I said anything, too. XD Hello, rock and hard place. XD

Oh, I always hated turning my projects in for peer reivew and then giving peer review. I understand why we had to, constructive criticism and all that but some people don't understand that you're not tearing down their work, you're trying to help them make it better. I wish you good luck on your assignments and hope that you get nothing but good reviews. I don't know why theymake you do these exercises because you're right, no one uses them in the real world. We had all these assignments that people complained the same things about. Turned out it wasn't that you didn't use the asssignments in the work place but instead the ideals they taught. So, you may never put together a lesson plan for work like you do in class but at least you know the components of a lesson plan and can pick and chose from what you learned to put your own plan together if it's required by your school. :)

Having fun in the snow? :P :D

You are quite right, it could be something besides gout. Hopefully they figure it out for you.

Rock and a hard place indeed. 😔

This is the first assignment I've had to turn in for peer review other than discussions. I don't think we have to criticize, not even constructive criticism, just comment on it something we liked or would use or change or whatever. I don't think there is any direction other than "respond to two peers".. (I guess a change would be considered constructive criticism but I rather think it's more like opinion) And I do know the belief behind doing the lesson plans is to make sure you know the theories and ideas... But I also feel that even those aren't really used in schools these days 🫤

Back to work tomorrow. One hour delay of start times. Here is hoping for a good day. It will be chaos in the morning as we will have the 100 day parade (kids can dress up as 100 yrs old, or make a 100 day poster or shirt).

The fact that the lesson plans you're learning aren't even used anymore makes me wonder how long it's been since those professors actually worked in a pre-K class. They probably give them to you to do because that was the standard when they last taught.

100 year parade? What is that in remberance of? Because of MLK day or some other person, or just for fun? Your school does some interesting things. :D
