DId all my quests except Drills. Went to walmart. Car made weird noise. Stopped, talked to Ryan, checked things out, no idea what it is. Its not constant, its kind of spring like, but also metallic scraping like? It does it off & on whether the car is in motion or not, but not when the car is turned off, but I heard the springy noise when I slammed the car door shut while I was inside the car ??? GRRRRRR I am so upset and freaky/panicked right now, even though Ryan said it sounded ok to drive it since it wasn't like the pistons or anything. ANY little noise sets me off now - thinking my car is going to screw up. I cannot get another car. I have absolutely no extra funds right now. Can't afford to get this fixed either, whatever it may be. I am hoping just like a loose screw or something caught under the car (too cold to go lay down and take a look, tho I may make Nathan do that later when it warms up a bit) I cleaned out the car to just make sure, since last time there was a noise it was a piece of plastic banging against a metal post inside the car.... so unless i missed something, its not that type of thing. It sounds more like its at the door or the dash but NOTHING is in the door or the dash that I can see

I absolutely feel you on that car sound panic and inability to get a new one.. or even fix it! So hopefully it's something super easy :(

Thanks. I am hoping its nothing. Finished drills too. Autopriced my shops. Bought a bunch of books from Esthers for my 2 new pets. (Up to 2020 there). Finished buying all the books at Steamworks the other day..... Took me about halfway through my quests before I realized I wasn't getting any New Years Tokens on legacy, since I think I did still get them on kumos.... Ahhh well. New Years is over. Next up. [edit] Good Morning (635am) Finished kumos. Still giving out NYT there. Back to work today, at least no kids, I am going to work on planning out my months worth of lesson plans (take a look in the "march" box, try to find books, get ideas for small groups together, etc). Lucky me, I get to not only plan for myself, and my lead teacher, but we get a high school helper too (the high school has a early childhood class, and they send "interns" over to us for classroom experience. The first few years, we got them, then we didn't. I think the only reason we are this year - is because her daughter is in that class in the high school and I have a feeling her daughter is our intern. Its fine tho! BUT I figure why not use the opportunity to actually have her do REAL lessons, instead of just "watch" the kids (our small groups is usually 2 teacher led, 2 independent - but one of the independent is play on the carpet, the other is usually play dough or pattern blocks - and instead of that I plan to do a craft or learning activity!) Of course, lead teacher has to agree to it. But since the intern usually has to "help" teach a lesson, I think it will be fine. If not, I'll adjust and go back to whatever.

ANYWAY~ Nathan works tonight. Apparently someone got fired a week or so ago, and the boss spread those hours out among the workers, so Nathan works today this week, and Thursday next week - yay for a bit more work time. Also I have class tonight. Good thing its only online zoom meeting. But it is the one assignment I'm a bit confused about and I really hope she explains it, since it said "in class" anyway.

[edit] 345 Home from work. Not too long of a day, though I did take a longer than I was supposed to lunch OOOPS but I met up with an old coworker/friend and we chatted so much we lost track of time hahahah! Bad us. I would have stayed late to make up for it, except Nathan has to get to work, and my lead teacher was like "I wouldn't worry about it!" when I said maybe I should stay later one afternoon this week to sort of make up for the lost time. Anyway. Going to try and do my quests really quick. Class is at 6 and I have to reheat chili and eat before then :P Yep. Being lazy, reheating chili that I froze a couple weeks ago. Specifically for nights like tonight! GO ME! Also I just got a phone call from my dr office, and they said they owed me a refund of $280!! And they verified my address and said I should have it in about 2 weeks. YAY! (Not sure why I'm owed a refund but I am NOT going to argue!)

Well.... I mentioned the springy/metallic sound? It started making that Monday morning on my way to walmart. It made that noise on Tuesday, all the times I was driving. Nathan took the car to work last night. It isn't making it today sigh The battery light keeps going on, staying on, going off, staying off, going on, staying on (it will do a day or two, or several hours/trips before it flips again) sigh

OMG I did not get back online and tell ya'll about last night. CRAZY So I was in class, Nathan was at work. Belle decided she wanted to go outside...and she STAYED outside, for like, an hour, before class ended and I realized she was still outside. About the time I realized she was still outside, she started barking like crazy. I tried to call her to come inside, she refused, so I shut the door. She's STILL barking like crazy. I wait a while, hoping she'll stop and decide to come in (she scratches at the door when she wants in). Nope. I open the door, yell at her to come inside, she RUNS away from me, and is STILL BARKING like crazy. She hits the far side of the dog pen (metal, 10x10, 8-10ft tall, covered with a tarp). I hear the BANG/TWANG of it. She's STILL BARKING. I shut the door and try to ignore her - she is now lunging at the dog pen, like she's trying to bust out of it!! :o I'm getting nervous at this point, like its been 30mins, she's STILL NON STOP BARKING and now she's lunging at the dog pen trying to get out of it. (NEVER HAS DONE THAT BEFORE!) I text my neighbor to see if maybe her dog is loose and Belle is barking at him, no response. I stick my head outside, he IS barking, but is tied at the front of her house. BELLE is STILL going nuts, I can still hear her barking and lunging periodically. I go back inside and call the sheriffs department, because at this point I feel SOMETHING is going on in the back of my house. She's been going nuts for over 45mins by the time they get here. Even AFTER my neighbor finally responded and took her dog inside to see if that helped. The cop walks around with a flashlight, checks the backhouse and the yard and all, says only thing he sees is a cat in the back house. Does she act like that around cats? NO! She's been around cats her whole life and never acted like that. Never acted like that with wild animals either - barking yes. Nonstop, long time barking, and then lunging at the fence? NO! Anyway, since he checked i felt more comfortable going outside INTO the pen (yea I didn't even feel comfortable doing that! With the way she was acting). I had to grab her collar and drag her in. She ran to get water, drank a bit, and ran right back to the back door trying to get back outside into the pen!! WHAT???? Nope. Refused to let her back out. she growled and barked a little in the living room for another 20ish minutes. Nathan got home, rechecked around outside, still nothing. Belle FINALLY settles down and I FINALLY went to bed around 11pm

CRAZY! I have no idea what she was trying to get to! But I was freaked out.

And oh my goodness about Belle, my first thought was a bear LOL. I wouldn't even have thought about a person!

I have no idea if it was a person, an animal or just her freaking imagination. There is a large wooded lot (like 30 acres? plus a pond and a cabin) behind my property, the driveway to it goes right along the edge of our property border. But she was angled a bit more towards the cedar trees in the neighbors yard on the other side (not the one with the dog that was outside). I just felt so weird and freaked out and just uncomfortable with how she was acting. You know dogs don't act off like that unless SOMETHING is going on.

The battery lights been doing for over a week now, I got it tested one day after school last week or the week before that maybe. All things were fine. Battery, alternator, starter were all in the green. Nathan cleaned some corrosion off of one of the battery terminal pegs and checked to see if anything was loose (he said it wasn't). But the light keeps going on/off periodically. It was off for like 3 days straight at one point and then about the time I was like oh good, it came back on sigh

I'm like 90% thinking when I get hired as a teacher and have an income increase that my first thing will be to get a new car (if I figure out that I can afford to). With a warranty. Because even though I do NOT want a payment or the higher insurance cost, I am really tired of freaking out over noises and wondering if my car is going to die on me and wth will I do then thoughts.

Yeah, SOMETHING was happening for her to act like that! How scary!

Saggi, On kumos? I had to turn down SIX quests today. Ugh. One Mabel, one Saggi and FOUR Mauve :o Stupid Mauve asked for the same item for 4 quests and I was not buying it (1mil item). I made a board about it, but doubt anything will be done, but since Keiths tweaking things and asks for feedback, you got mine dude. I should NOT be asked for the same item (especially an expensive one) for FOUR quests from the same NPC

Yeah. The last four days were much better, only 2-3 quests turned down Though the best day would be NOT ANY!

I never turn down legacy quests - the profit is fine, the items are never that expensive. I have no idea why some of the items asked for on kumos are so expensive unless its simply that so many users are doing the quests and being asked for the same items - which should NOT be happening. After all, it doesn't really happen here on legacy!!

I guess. It seems like one item or one quest giver will get fixed and then suddenly another item or NPC is fixated. :P Eventually it will all be ok I guess I've noticed he's added a LOT more of the site to the kumos part - some places still lead back to legacy links, but a lot more are on kumos now.

I'm still using legacy 90% of the time probably lol I do kumos quests, I've saved two game links that are on there (fishing, tiles and I found the vending machine he was testing, you only get 5 vends a day lol) I was debating trying the gardening, but I always forgot about it here, so probably won't do it there either.

I browse around kumos every couple days to see what leads back to legacy and what doesnt lol since I noticed more things were being added and no longer linked to legacy pages I think I am one of those "die hard, stick to what you know" people - so until I HAVE to use kumos for everything I'll probably (at least half out of habit) keep using legacy until then lol

I went and looked. You can !! You can view your shops, all the shop information and it has an autoprice. Now, how accurate that is vs legacy? I dunno. But the legacy user shop search has always matched the kumos one, so ... maybe it would be ok?
