I tried that, freezing balls of cookie dough. I baked 6 from that, and forgot about the dough. It probably needs to be thrown away now (its been like more than 6months?) I thought about freezing some of the already made cookies, but not sure how well that would turn out either, or if I'd remember THEY were in the freezer
- oh I wish I could share the pictures I saw today in my memories with you!! About 5 years of sugar cookie decorating photos. I have more than that, but that was what was on facebook in my memories today LOL
Oh haha. I didn't forget about any the last two times I did it.. maybe because I normally have something baked each week, so it was a lot easier to just pull them out?
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone, and happy lumi!!
Merry Christmas/Luminaire everyone!
- If your pics are anything like mine are then I remember what they looked like. Thank you for reminding me of the memory. :D
- Your house must smell amazing with fresh baked goods each week. Yum! :D
Merry Christmas and Happy Luminaire everyone!!
I had a wonderful morning spent with three of my kids (two bio plus the bonus one hehehe) We opened gifts, cooked and ate breakfast, played games and then they headed off. The third one went back to hibernating But ... THAT BOY KNOWS ME WELL! Guys! He picked the best present. I hate to say that but he DID!! HE REALLY DID!! Nathan ordered two things for me, only one came so far, the other is late. But what came... He got me a 30th anniversary edition of the book "The Princess Bride" OMG ITS GORGEOUS!! I've been reading it, the forwards, the author notes, etc as well as I'm halfway into the story now. I have been fascinated by it so far, and the artwork on the cover AND the page edges :o AMAZING! I have ALWAYS loved The Princess Bride movie - Westley is one of my favorite characters and I've always called the actor Westley, even after I learned his real name giggles I love to tease Nathan about the year he decided to be a pirate and instead looked just like Inigo Montoya - and he ran around that year shouting the line after I told him that LOL
I got some really cute really sweet other gifts from my other two, and Shane's gifts to me are still under the tree waiting for him to get home (as well as his FROM me).
I also see some really wonderful amazing gifts from all of you on here, so Thank you SO VERY MUCH! You've made me smile and laugh and so very happy to be friends with you all! <3
Ur welcome. Merry Christmas & Happy Luminaire!
Merry Christmas and Happy Luminaire to all! 🎄 Hope the holiday was lovely for all and no stress was involved, either by cooking or getting last minute gifts/food. LOL I went to the store yesterday and it was a madhouse, but so were the roads! People were FLYING, for crying out loud. The rush that people were in was insane.
I had a lovely time with my youngest daughter, who decided to spend the night, which is why I had to run to the store for some last minute food and regular coffee. (I just drink decaf these days)
We spent the day watching Studio Ghibli movies, and others, and I fixed spam musubi. Here, in case you're curious. https://theheirloompantry.co/how-to-make-teriyaki-spam-musubi/

Merryhappy christmas <3
- I absolutely hate going to the store last minute! I'm happy to hear your daughter was there and you had a great time, even after having to go to the store lol I'm sure she appreciated it! I will probably run to the store tomorrow for a few things, I know I need more dog food. But otherwise I don't like going right AFTER Christmas either!! let me just stay home away from the madness that is before/after holiday shopping! Lol
happy Lumi. Thank you all so much for my gifts under my tree. It means a lot. Gifts will be sent shortly xxx
Good morning everyone!
Kat, I saw your book on facebook and it's GORGEOUS, way to go Nathan!
Sounds like everyone has had a lovely Christmas, Taarna, I'm so glad your daughter came to spend time with you!
We had a great morning here.. actually, Alex's parents came over Christmas Eve to eat appetizers with us and we did presents then.. the kids enjoyed everything we got them (and Santa brought in their stockings :P), and then we went over Alex's sisters house yesterday for dinner.
Although.. they all got drunk and forgot to thaw the ham, so we had green bean casserole and for some reason a single can of carrots for dinner :P For 22 people. But like.. it was fine! :P
And thank you ALL for the presents <3<3<3
Oh my Mieke hahahah well, veggies for dinner is good for you. Hope it was a big casserole, but if not I'm sure you all managed to find something else to eat after leaving.
I've got a huge pile of candy/sweets on my table from work...and I'm supposed to be avoiding sugar/carbs. Ooops. Not happening this time of year LOL
It was not, just a normal 13x9 haha.
It was fine though, we brought a olive and pickle tray with us, so I ate a lot of marinated artichoke hearts. And someone brought shrimp cocktail, so that was nice!
We all had enough, just like.. definitely not.. real food? :P
All food is real food. Just maybe not, GOOD FOR YOU food hahahaha
I'm moving our profile chat on here I just commented back about the bathhouse achievement - WHAT THE HECK? I swear it was for a full year, but it says 300 days and I got that achievment? Unless I've not looked in the right place for it.
I haven't even been bothering doing that, I just did my dailies for the first time in forever LOL.
AND all my quests!
And I finally hung art and such up in the craft room... :/
And I have to fold my laundry haha.
No there's snacks, and then there's FOOD. :P
but...technically....snacks are food too. Anything you eat is food :P But I get what you mean. "real" food, like meal food, vs snack food hehehehe
I like doing the bathhouse for the csc you get periodically. Now that I know I've got the achievement (and its the only one I saw and I went through ALL of the achievements to verify) then I am not so upset over losing my streak. I SWEAR it was a full year. Not 300 days so I was SO upset when I got to like 300+ and screwed up. BUT YAY ME. Now I can just get the csc and other random goodies. I think it cycles through a month? And then starts repeating. With some variances in the items.
I just did dishes. ugh. never ending. I'll do my laundry some time this weekend, or maybe not until next week. Depends on how often I get dressed vs stay in my jammies hahaha! Since I don't have work next week.
Yay for hanging art and stuff in the craft room :P I like having my walls decorated, but not overhwelmingly so. Pictures, yes. Decor, eh maybe. Depends on what it is. My kitchen now has this cute mini cutting board a parent gifted me last week, has my "C" initial for my last name in script style and my last name in block letters. I rarely use cutting boards and have two sets of plastic ones I use anyway. So that one is now kitchen decor. My bedroom has a unicorn flag over my bed, as well as a dreamcatcher. I have a print on one wall, and some random scent decor things on another wall (the little cow-head was too cute to get rid of after the scent left), as well as a mini windchime thats hanging on the wall hahah. I won't put it outside, it would get ruined fast, but I also don't want to hear chimes in my sleep, so its on the wall instead of dangling. And I have a wooden rose sculpture wall art thing as well in my bedroom. most of the house has pictures as wall decor...but there are some other random rose/nice things I have hanging as well.
I'm still doing my legacy quests, but I finished kumos earlier this morning.
Well, I washed it yesterday, I just need to put it away!
Lily and Adam are downstairs doing the dishes now.. Isabelle is putting together her fifth lego set since yesterday morning.
I hung up a bunch of our sip and paint paintings, and some other random things that I've had around the house that needed a home.
I don't actually have a lot of decor in the bedroom.. mostly just the hippo kiss print alex got me for my birthday last year (it's my favorite thing, it always makes me happy to look at!)
I used to not have anything but the flags. (We had a couple of american flags, a rebel flag, a georgia state flag, etc in addition to my unicorn). But after Ryan left and those other flags went with him, the walls felt a little bare. I painted the one wall, and added a line of photos (Yep. Me and my photos. Everywhere. They were never in the bedroom until this past year, when I updated my wall lol) Other things got put up over the last two-three years, most of it small and none of it seems out of place lol You ever see something and just KNOW its not in the right place? I hate that. I have to just move it until I find the right place. It took me YEARS to settle on the photographs in my frames. For years I even swapped out for holiday photos in frames in the living room. I might still do that sometimes, but mostly I keep the ones I have now, I like them. They work well for me.
You said you did your quests.... did you do kumos? Or legacy? Or both? I'm about halfway done with legacy now. Keep getting distracted lol
I did both sets of quests LOL
"You ever see something and just KNOW its not in the right place? I hate that. I have to just move it until I find the right place."
OMG YES. I absolutely know what you mean. And yeah, I've got photos all over the place, though not really in the bedroom? Honestly, there's just nothing in there. I think I'm going to paint this summer, finally.
I have done everything except battle quests now I took a reading break ;)
I have no idea why i decided to hang pictures in my bedroom. I kind of think it had to do with the fact that i have my desk in here now, making it feel more like a living space, and I spent more time in here, and in my living spaces I have always had pictures. Honestly I keep saying I should get a recliner and a mini fridge/microwave stand and turn my bedroom into a studio apartment or somethng hahaha Its a line of photos (8x10s) of the kids as they grew - started with Shane and Katie (about 1 & 4 yrs old) and then moved on to the most recent of the three of them taken 3 years ago.
- Thank you so much for the Lumi gifts! You gals made my day. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. :D ❤ ❤
I had a very quiet, peaceful day. I xoomed with my older kids before a dinner wholy cooked by my youngest. For some reason he wanted to do it all, so we let him. The dinner was perfect. We had ham, green bean casserole, candied yams, and cornbread stuffing. It sounds disparate but it was very good together. I'm glad to hear that everyone had a great time on their holiday. :D
