oh well! if you do stumble across a romance or fantasy that you think would meet my very picky requirements for those genres (that I usually am not that fond of) - let me know. I tend to like them more when they have a really well done world background that hangs together, characters that are less extreme yet still very nuanced, and non-traditional gender roles well represented - and ideally very little Tolkien influence visible if it's fantasy, and I'm usually allergic to the feisty heroine/forceful powerful hero type of romances. Cool symbolism and smooth prose are each a plus.

Back in the day I did love Sidney Sheldon books, I think I read five or six of them? I don't remember them very well at all though, it's been so long.

Every event always has some items with such good art and this year it was the leaves. I love the partial frame leaves item a lot too. And we both appreciate good art maybe. 😊

Still birdsitting. Their human flew in late last night (lol) and I told her I could keep them until tomorrow so she wouldn't have to drive here today. She was grateful as then she can catch up on everything. They're so cute!!

- It is. Another taste combo I found was maple syrup and pecans with sweet potatoes. I'm trying to talk my hubby into making that one instead of our usual candied yams. :D

- I did and there are a lot of variations. I found one I liked and will try it with the pineapple instead of orange zest. Both hubby and kids are looking forward to it. :D
