- I hope so, too. although I hope he parries this ending into another series in the same world. The world is wonderful, very "High Fantsay:" and is a lot of fun. :) I've never been to a Kroger but I've seen them when traveling. I don't think I ever went inside one. My favorite grocery store name is "Piggly Wiggly." It just makes me giggle. :D
I didn't know Kroger's were closing!😯They're trying to buy out all of the competition here and the state is fighting them. Years ago they bought out Fred Meyer stores here so they all go by Fred Meyer even though they carry all of the Kroger products. The owl head is really cute! And I agree about Flyingkat's HA and the background is awesome!
That's so annoying! I hope I get another one. 😊🩷
At least you have Trader Joe's! I love that place!! Not healthy or low fat but their Horseradish Chive chips are delicious!
- Trader Joe's is like 60 miles away though. We don't shop there because the delivery charge would be more then the groceries cost. 😂 I wish there was one closer because I liked it but oh-well. shrugs :D
Well that sucks as Trader Joe's is great! I'm not sure I would be willing to order or drive from that far away.
we have Trader Joes too, but far from me also (only about 15 miles though, not 60).
Kroger used to be only 3 miles away before it closed. There's two Food Lions within 3 miles, now, and a couple other ones (not Piggly Wiggly though! that sounds neat, I agree).
- It's ok to order from Trader Joes as they keep the perishable stuff in coolers with ice packs until it's delivered to you. So, nothing melts or starts to go bad. The closest grocery to me now is Food Lion with a Walmart just a couple miles past it. RThe Food Lion has started carrying things that the Walmart doesn't so hubby buys from one and then another, back and forth so he can get all the stuff he likes. I wish he hadn't taken over the grocery deliveries. It's a bit like putting ther diabetic in charge of the candy store. 😂 😂
15 miles is still a bit of a drive. At least here it would be with all of the traffic. Liz used to work right next door to a TJ's and I shopped there twice a week. But still it's only 4.5 miles from my house so not bad. On Thursday's trip I got a bunch of prepared food to eat tomorrow. The 2 things I'm excited about are breaded mushrooms and some Naan bread. And I made creamy black bean soup today so it will be a yummy day.
OMG if my hubs did the shopping all we would have is potato chips, Hawaiian bread, rice and frozen chicken wings. With occasional croissants or donuts. 🤣
Oops, I went AWOL for a couple of weeks while getting used to working full time again but I'm back!
I keep all of my old worn out scrubs on hand for household chores and things like painting! They're super easy to move around in and if I end up dripping paint on them or tearing them, I don't feel bad throwing them out lol.
I'm alive! I disappeared while figuring out how to balance chronic illness with going back to work full time, but I'm here!
Not gonna lie, as much as I hate avocados, that stuff your mom made sounds absolutely delicious. The sour cream just calls out to the Polish in me hahaha.
It finally snowed and STUCK here today! It feels like Christmas is coming now and I'm so excited!! One of our local radio stations is playing Christmas music already and I listen to it on the way into work in the morning and today it felt so right as the snow drifted down. It might still melt and warm up a little once more before winter truly sets in, but who knows. We might get lucky and have a truly white Christmas for the first time in a couple of years!
I'm sure it's not easy! <3 Yeah I probably would still hate avocados if she hadn't tricked me into liking them. I can't believe you have snow AND Christmas music!! 😯 Are you in Canada? It's been cold here near Seattle and our mountains have snow now which is pretty early for WA state. But I haven't heard any Christmas music yet though! 🤣
- That's just about what happened the first couple of times he did the ordering. I had tried to do it myself but the app just wasn't having it. So, I finally asked him for help. (Yes, my pride got in the way. :P ) He did just about what your hubby would do and I was so happy we had groceries in the house that I didn't say anything. Then, when he did the 2nd order and it was the same as the first, I realized that I had to put my foot down or we would have nothing to eat but potato chips, pizza rolls, buffalo chicken strips and french fries. So, I got our son in on it and we ambushed him and made him get a variety of food and most of it as healthy as he could stomach. Now, it's easy for him to buy the groceries because the app has a "Buy it again" feature. :D
- no worries, I poof from time to time myself. Subeta is great but sometimes you just want to do something else. How are you settling into your new job? I hope it isn't making your illness worse. I can believe your radio stations are playing Christmas tunes already. There is one here that is, also. We don't have the luxury of snow, though. It hasn't really snowed here in years. Rain? Sleet? yes. But no snow. (I'm in Virginia, US.) I wish we would get some snow. I miss it from when I lived in Minnesota. Hugs to - I hope she's doing ok with the remodel going on. :D
SORRY guys I tend to be very in and out with Subeta ;;_;; I often forget to check it during the week because work is STRESSSSSS
The bathroom remodel is done and both and I are pretty happy with it, though it now has less storage (they took away a shelf and made it so we can't put in another storage thingie we'd originally had in there) so we had to go buy some plastic storage drawers but oh well. At least its done, and it does look nice!
How are you guys faring?

🦋
- I'm glad the remodel is over and that it turned out nice. I hate it when they don't leave you enough storage, though. I've had to use plastic drawers and sometimes they can be annoying because theystick. I'm sorry work is stressful. Hopefully it'll get easier soon. :) I'm doing well, nothing really to complain about. :D
Sure am! I'm in central Alberta lol. The weather was nice and mild until like 3 days ago and now it's below freezing overnight and snowy! It's definitely getting me into a holiday mood. I might even go nuts and watch my first Christmas movie of the season tonight. :D
Thanksgiving is coming up for y'all, isn't it? Any plans? :)
I'm taking it a day at a time with the new job. It's a challenge but my boss is super understanding and I'm very well-supported by the whole team. I'm sure things will get less exhausting as I settle into the new routine but for now I'm taking LOTS of time to rest!
Noooo, I'm so sad you don't get much (if any) snow! I'm in Alberta, Canada, and we get plenty. I'd send some over if I could!!
Been trying to make more silly HAs, watch for them in the next few
you never know. Here's hoping I find a good book to read again soon. Been falling off ones after a couple chapters all week.
I ended up not reading that book. I got 25 pages in and it was so boring I couldn't finish it. I think that's one of the first books I've DNF'd this year.
I feel like it's a texture thing for me with nuts in chocolate. It's weird because I do like nuts but just not in chocolate 😂 Happy Sunday! I hope you're having a great weekend <3
47 is great! I put my goal at 50 and was worried I wouldn't finish that many in a year. Ended up exceeding it and was pretty proud of myself lol I don't think I've ever read this many books in a year before. I'm at 65 right now and still going strong lol
Hiiii! hugs tight It's no worries at all <3 I'm happy you checked in with us! I hope you have a great holiday season <3 Congrats on the slurs!!!
wonderful ❤ do you read any mysteries or science fiction (ideally, non-YA)? if so do you have any of either you'd recommend to me? ❤
I think our husbands are a lot alike. Does yours live by watching sports too? I've even seen mine watch Little League baseball when there was no other sports on TV. 🤣
At least the bathroom remodel is done! Losing some storage space kind of sucks but it sounds like you like it well enough to make up for it. Don't ever worry about chatting immediately! I'm just happy to see you when you have time!
I guessed you were in Canada. I bet it's beautiful there! Our Thanksgiving is a week from this coming Thursday. Yikes I need to get the food figured out. Lol
I'll be watching for your silly HAs. You're so creative so I know they'll be great!
I'm sure you're right about the texture thing. And the texture is the complete opposite for me and I prefer nuts in my chocolate becauseof the texture. We had our friend and insurance lady here yesterday and she wasn't hungry so I snacked on chocolates all day. 😊 And another friend asked me to babysit her 2 parakeets for a week and she's coming over soon and dropping them off. I'm not sure if I'm excited or worried!🤣 She says they're very sweet... I'm sure they are still going to be messy.
I like this current one of yours, the way the bird looks like it's the mouth!
Thank you! The bird over the face has a really dominant purple eye so I have the black lipstick over the bird to calm it down a bit. lol I'm babysitting my friend's parakeets so I think I have birds on the brain. 🤣
- Nooooo... my hubby hates sports. Instead he spends his days reading manga and online stories published on CrunchyRoll.com. Some of those stories he reads puts mine to shame, one had over 9,000 (yes, nine thousand) chapters. I told him it didn't count if the chapter was only 700 words long. He did a word count and it was in the thousands of words long. My books pale in comparison. 😂
- Did you try the 2nd book in the Finder's series? Sorry you're in a book desert right now. :(
- I'm getting used to not having snow. More and more it's like Florida here. I think the mountains funnel the florida weather up to us. 😂 Sorry you're having a hard time with work. I know you'll find your stride soon, but take time to rest, too. It's just as important. :DD
- Which book did you put down after 2 chapters? I don't remember what book we were talking about. 😂 :S
