Yes! It can be quite disorienting and weird when the furniture is moved which is one reason I've been hesitant to change up my bedroom. Even just switching to the smaller bed made it difficult for me to find my bed in the dark after using the bathroom at night lol (I do not bother to turn on a light and have my room blacked out) So trying to figure out where to put the desk/computer and how I want to move things or if I even do at all is taking me some time. But I want to get it arranged before the end of July so I have some time to get used to it that way before college classes start

Aww thanks Beth ..and congrats on the jackpots!!

Hi, whatevermaycome! I'm sorry your ear is bothering you. I hope you get it fixed quickly and pinlessly. :D

Kat, so, you get to experience what it's like for me every night when you go to the bathroom and then have to feel your way back to the bed. It is disorienting when you're trying to do that, sighted or not. Stubbed toes is no fun. :D

Haha yes! yes I do indeed!! The only difference is it's my choice. I don't even have a clock or anything in there. Just my phone. I could use it and do sometimes just not usually. And stubbed toes are so wonderful!! Or banged fingers. Sometimes I am so disoriented I hit the wall, which is why I now mostly go with my arm outstretched reaching for the wall.... Then I follow it to the bathroom doorway That fails sometimes....when I angle wrong and my arm is inside the bathroom and I hit the doorframe. What fun that is!!! 😝

Yes Beth I hope your ear feels better soon! And that sounds like you've been very busy at work

My closet is back to tidy, bedroom still a small mess. But since more things are being moved back in there soon I'm not gonna fuss ... Just keep slowly moving something and cleaning something til it's done.

- omg, you just described my life after losing my sight, stubbed toes and fingers alike! When I move around I furniture and wall surf, that's what my hubby calls it. I trail my hand along the furniture/wall to find my way around. As long as I know where everything is I'm ok. I tried to get my family to try doing it blindfolded but not one of them did. Scardy cats. lmao! 😂

I can just imagine! And your mean family has no empathy!!! I would have blindfolded myself to see what it was like for you!!! Sometimes at night I don't even open my eyes lol sometimes I do but it's still so dark I cant see so it doesn't make a difference. I think the reason is that I feel if I don't open my eyes I'll fall back asleep faster or something dies laughing dumb eh?

- Yeah, I love them to death but I agree, they were/are being mean and unempathetic by not even giving it a try. X/ But I do the same thing, I hold my eyes open while I navigate to the bathroom so I don't fall asleep, too. lol 😂

the weird things we do eh? LOL

Well I just unplugged the ethernet cable and connected to my wifi so now I know my computer will be able to do that. Hopefully I get a decent signal in the bedroom, as the wifi will be out here in the living room :P (nathan seems to do fine and his bedroom is only a bit closer than mine)

I'm not sure I even really WANT to move this desk/computer back there - because I have to buy a laptop anyway - and can just use THAT back in my bedroom.... but moving this back there gives me the desktop. Which I am used to, and like. I need the laptop because I have no idea if I will need it or not for my in-person classes. I know they have computer labs, but my classes will NOT be in the computer lab and if I need a computer while I am in-person then I have to have a laptop. Which I don't have one right now.

[edit] June 15 12pm [item2=Hazel Ornate Noon Stockings] Thank you Major Drills. I did all my quests including battle this morning, then went to Sams Club with my neighbor and then to IHOP for a late breakfast. Then came back and finished Drills.

- That's not so weird. My hubby got tired of dancing around trying to get a signal so he got 2 extenders for our wifi. So, he can get wifi whereever he iss on the property. Having a laptop isn't so badd. You can get them now so they are as powerful as some desktops. It really goes to how your going to use the laptop. If you need it for class, then you need it for cleass. We have several laptops and a desktop here. Overkill maybe but at least no one worries about whether they will have a way to get online if they need it. :D

No I meant it was weird that we would do strange things to try and be able to fall asleep or stay awake lol

Not the wifi/moving the computer thing. I just don't know if I WILL need a laptop. But there are some that aren't that expensive and like you said, it doesn't hurt to have laptops and desktops I would have just borrowed Nathan's but he put stickers of all kind of random things on it and well, I am just not going to use that in a classroom full of adults lol So I will get my own to be on the safe side, for if I need it But I will probably move my desktop into the bedroom anyway

[Edit] 315pm Monday I moved the gun cabinet back into my room, slid the bed over right next to it. That leaves room on the other side of my bed for the desk. I moved my unicorn flag from one wall to above my bed, rehang the dreamcatcher. Moved the bookshelves (I could have left the two at the foot of my bed but decided to put all 3 together) That leaves me space for a recliner (if I decide to get one) beside the back door, near the foot of my bed. And the open walkway through the room to the back door for the dogs still

Have not moved the desk. Hopefully it looks and feels ok when I do. I might have to get a smaller desk chair for that. Which I need a new one anyway I just wasn't spending the $ on it yet lol

Yes it's tidy for the moment. Until I move the desk in there. I do have a pile of random stuff along one wall that I still need to sort out and figure out what to do with and two boxes of photos that I also need to do something with on another wall. But the room is clean and tidy and even vacuumed.

So the next step will be either moving the desk.... Or finishing cleaning out the game room and Shane's bedroom. There is a couple shelves in the bedroom that have random stuff, along with some bedding storage boxes.... And the game room has Nathan's game chair, a lamp, and the old TV center, along with the board game shelf. Got to figure out where to put all that stuff

- Good luck. Whenever I moved stuff around I realized my spatial awareness isn't as good as I thought it was. XD imo, you should move the desk and get your room as finished as possible before tackling another room. Less chaos that way. I remember my hyubbby getting grumpy because I was moving stuff around and he had to climb over stuff in the hallway because I hadn't found a spot for it yet. XD

Thankfully all the remaining stuff besides my desk is little stuff. Well I guess maybe the old TV center is bigger furniture, it's not huge tho. But the rest is like boxes and random papers/pictures. Well besides the bedding storage box but that will probably go into my closet. No climbing over things in the hallway here!! I keep that clear lol

[edit] 650am Yes I do things early LOL Desk and computer set up in bedroom. Feels a little weird. My chair is in front of my closet door, but since I can push it under the desk when I am not using it, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Now I still have to sort all the small crap I kept on the desk and decide what needs to be in here on the desk and what I can put somewhere else or toss. Next I think I'll put the old tv center out where my desk used to be for now, and put the wifi box on that. Then I still have to decide where to put the two shelves in the other bedroom and then all the random little crap too :P I am debating centering the desk in the space its in, or sliding the bed over a bit, since there is a bigger gap than I thought there would be between the bed and desk. Its either that or get a small night table type shelf to put between them...hmm.... Oh and wifi seems to be working just fine back here, i figured it would but I've never used the wifi in my bedroom before.

oh! And Anna sent me a baby bump picture last night!! I was sooooo excited to see it :D I only wish I could feel the baby moving, but thats a little hard from Texas to Georgia hahahah! It made me remember how when I was pregnant with Shane, I was so tiny, that when he started getting big enough to see moving, he shoved his foot out, and pushed around, and you could literally see the outline of his foot!! It was awesome. I wish I'd been able to get a picture of that.

Kat, we don't move furniture around at all anymore so I'm awed at your ability to move pieces around (Like a tv stand) without help. I think I prefer our furniture being in the same place for years. Plus, don't you hate it when you vacuum a carpet, then move a big piece of furniture, and see the line of fuzz, etc that outlines where the piece used to be? I always hated that. And sometimes the square of carpet is lighter then the rest. How do you hide it again? I would get a throw rug or break down and rent a carpet cleaner.

Oh, I loved the point in pregnancy when you can feel the baby move and see it. My kids were so restless, especially when all I wanted to do was sleep. Itt didn't get any better after they were born, either. 😂

I don't move my furniture that much to be honest. I also hate the discolored carpeting or lines left. I own a carpet shampooer and yes I will normally vacuum and shampoo if I'm moving big furniture (like the sofas). Those spots/lines eventually go away or I stop noticing them otherwise. The TV stand I moved is small. Not like an entertainment center or anything!! Smaller even than most electric fireplaces. It was also empty, nothing on it lol - think, extra big side table perhaps? It's just not big furniture like sofas or the fireplace or china cabinet lol but not small like a shelf or end table or nightstand. And Nathan helps me with the heavier or more awkward things like the gun cabinet and my desk (it's light but awkward to move as it's odd shaped with an extra level of shelving) I was shocked he was awake, but apparently he's just been up all night and he is sleeping now lol

I hated trying to move the bigger pieces. Often I had to wait until someon else was home to help me move them. Iam certainly no Heracles. lol I always hated carpet cleaning. Someone always tracked mud in causing more work. That's funny, my youngest was up all night too. Playing Splatoon on his Switch. He has yet to go to bed. I remember being that young. Where did it all go? XD

my younger two are night owls for sure. The oldest can stay up too if he wants, but he is more than likely to be an early bird due to his job - when you know you have to get up and get moving at 3am, you tend to go to bed instead of stay up late LOL

I have started checking BHH more often, since I decided I wanted the achievements for it...that and the underground fishing one (it has a border to earn!) so I try to remind myself to check in. I still don't find stuff TOO often. Its annoying :P

Anyway! Good Morning!! :D I think my DIL had braxton hicks last night. I didn't hear anything else after she said she had what felt like some cramps. I have no idea how much knowledge of pregnancy she has, so after she said "I am having some cramps, but my water hasn't broke, so I don't think she's coming yet" my response was "no, probably not. you are at the right time for braxton hicks (fake contractions). Contractions are much worse than cramps, especially as time goes on, tho they can start out similar feeling. Call or go to the hospital or doctor only if they don't go away or if they get a LOT worse!" She's got about a month left - due July 14th. I wanted to tell her that just because her water didn't break doesn't mean she's not in labor :P SOOOO many people think your water has to break to be in labor - and that WAS true for me - but its not true. I know of others who's water never broke until right before the baby came out. Or after hours of contractions. But I didn't want to make her think she WAS in labor either. I really don't think she was. She's stressed out over Shane being gone and has cried herself sick she's said and is feeling lonely. So I think its just stress - I wish I was closer and could be there for her. She joking said she should have made me fly out when Shane left (he's gone for 3 weeks for training, but they're aware of the baby and will let him fly home if something DOES happen, then return to finish training) - I told her if she really wanted me, I would come out there.

[edit] Thursday 620am Sub Day today! I get to go to work yay! :P Was sad the first two days got cancelled. But it is what it is. From what my co-worker/friend has told me, its a lot of fun and a LOT less stressful than a regular school year day. Even tho I have to stay an hour longer. Nathan is a bit upset on that, because Asher is coming today and is supposed to arrive around 2-3pm but I'll be at work and he'll have to wait until I get home to go get Asher. (The family friend who he is coming down with is staying in North GA so its like another 1-2hr drive to get to where they are) ANYWAY! Off to make tea, lunch and get ready to leave by 7am!
