Well that's one reason why the uniform sweatshirt I was wearing to paint the support pillars in work, wasn't able to be handed back in when I left that job laughs it was covered in paint! Yeah, I definitely wouldn't have wanted to remove any more years worth of grime from the tiles or grouting!
That's always good when you can see they're getting some adopted into new homes :D What did Salem make of it when you brought Pusur home to start with?
Thank you :D and also, a huge thank you for the goodies in the gift box :D :D :D :D :D
That's just the right time between lessons too, so you get plenty of time to practise :D
Typical that the string broke (I had that with my guitar, then realised the only spare string I had, wasn't the right one) - maybe you'll be able to get a spare set of strings at some point, just so you don't need to head all that way if another one breaks?
The outlet store trainers sound like they were a good bargain :)

I never loved having to wear an uniform at work, except for not having to pick out an outfit every day. That part was nice. lol
Salem and Pusur never became good buddies, but learned to tolerate each other. And would sometimes both lie on my lap together. Salem was quite old when I got Pusur, so poor thing probably felt annoyed by an active kitten. :P

When I worked on the tills in that shop, we had uniform guidelines (had to be a white shirt with a black suit).... management were allowed to wear a coloured shirt and a coloured suit (I treated myself to a cheap grey suit then laughs), but when I moved to be working in the stockroom we had to wear jeans, a store-branded polo shirt, and a store-branded sweatshirt (neither of which were made in a size that would fit me - they were way too big!). If the uniform had actually fitted it wouldn't have been quite so terrible :P
Awww that's sweet that they would both lie on your lap :D But did Salem manage to teach Pusur any sneaky tricks, or was he quite a good role model for Pusur to learn what was expected of him to be living indoors?

I think I would have felt more comfortable in the jeans and sweatshirt. :P I never really had a job where I had to dress up. Casual was always the norm, if we did not have an uniform. Uniforms often seem to have strange feeling fabrics and odd fits. :P
Salem was a good role model I would say. Salem's one really bad habit was attacking my feet when they were under the duvet. I learned to wrap my feet into the duvet so that he would not get to them. Claws under the sole of your feet hurts! Thankfully Pusur did not pick up that habit. ;)

I preferred it before the polo shirt and sweatshirt (we could wear whatever we wanted :P). The job after that was in a fancy clothing shop, so that was a suit (but we could wear a plain t-shirt under the suit jacket, as somehow that looked smarter than a shirt o.O). And after that I worked in admin at the university.... which was really weird as it had no dress-code at all so it was guesswork what would be suitable to wear :P
It didn't help that I'm quite short (5 foot 1), so any uniform was guaranteed to need taking up :P
I wonder what Salem had against feet!! That's definitely a good thing that Pusur didn't learn that one ;) :D
[edit] Ooo it's been quiet in here!
hope you're both doing ok (and getting in lots of Masquerade dances!)

sorry I have been so quiet. I am struggling to remember to come on subeta. One of my accsueses is the cello which I admit, I'm hooked on LOL. But I do find subeta to be rather boring lately. No plots or anything different, yeah know? I have been really disappointed with the last several holiday items as well--especially Melody which were mostly all recycled items :/ At the moment the only thing holding me here is honestly the peeps, like you and Lene :D
I'm pleased the cello's working out well for you :D
I know what you mean - it's been pretty quiet here, although there seems to be a load of new items for Masquerade which was unexpected! :D I've wanted to get back to working on some pet profiles / stories, but I seem to be out of ideas again at the moment :K
I do like your HA-less HA :D

Thanks. I love it. Lol even have an hours lesson today funny though i wasn’t a fan of most of the items for mask this year. Oh well lol
Oh thank you. Lol i needa change it though lol
but can you play Happy Birthday on the cello yet? ;)
I tend to get all the new items even if I'm not overly keen on them - never know when I might want to make an outfit that uses one of them :P
Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!! Got anything fun planned for the day (other than a cello lesson)? ;)

I think it does make sense for them to expect their staff to look the part if you are working at a high end clothing store. Some guidelines are always helpful though. ;) I hope they did not expect you to wear high heels though, that would kill my feet so fast!
I had the same problem with uniforms, the trousers were always too long so I had to make do as best I could. lol I was happy when the supermarket I worked at changed from ugly shirts to comfy sweat shirt like tops. lol
I think Salem thought it was a fun to catch the toes. lol Sure was not fun for me though. The skin under your feet can be pretty sensitive.
I am sorry for neglecting our board lately. I shall try to do better. Still struggling a bit with lack of energy.
I can agree that subeta feels stale lately. It is just the same ol' events, and not much new happening. I wonder if they are working on something? Like you, I like to stick around so that I can keep in touch with you and Paddy here. :)

we got a 40% staff discount on uniform from that shop as well, which was pretty good :D My boss didn't like my shoes (he called them trainers, but they were actually boys' school shoes :P), so I challenged him to find a pair of suitable shoes that I could wear without falling over in (I can't wear heels), and which would fit my feet.... he didn't manage to suggest anything suitable ;)
The supermarket I worked in had a really weird uniform - it was a kind of polyester dress with tights.... not long after I left, they changed it to polo shirt & trousers! :P
I can believe that'd be a nightmare with a cat trying to catch your feet like that!!

yes I can play happy birthday on the cello :D haha fair enough aww thank you. Yes, I got to work on a 3 d flower puzzle, did a little game play, watched some telly with the fam. It was a very lovely day :)
cos we rock :D lol. Whatcha up to today?
depending on what key the instrument is in, it can be quite fiddly to play ;) (actually I have no idea what key a cello is in!)
ooo the 3D flower puzzle sounds like fun :D Which game(s) are you working on at the moment?

I plan on watching soccer/football tonight and have some treats since it is Saturday after all. xD Finished cleaning, so I can mostly just chill for the rest of the day. You?
A staff discount is a nice perk to have. :D 40 percent off is not bad. :) I like how you shot down your boss' complaints about your shoes. I have only ever worn heels for special occasions like weddings. Other than that I avoid them like the plague. So hard to walk in too. Most of them are really narrow too, and squish my toes. I would be happy with polo shirt and trousers. The polyester dress with tights sounded like an odd choice!
Sharp claws dug into the sole of your feet is not recommended. :P I learned to wrap my feet into the duvet so that he could not get to them. lol

it was 20% on anything that didn't count as uniform, but the uniform one was particularly generous :D We didn't have to wear things from that shop for our uniform (I still had some cheaper suits from where I worked previously, so I wore those sometimes), but it was obviously encouraged as then the customers could see what it looked like with someone wearing it, rather than just seeing it on a clothes hanger ;) Yeah, I don't think that heels were ever designed by a woman who wore them.... I've never understood why they're so narrow at the toe!
laughs that sounds brilliantly creative, although I can imagine if you needed to get out of bed in a hurry, then it might not be all that helpful if your feet were wrapped into the duvet? ;)

the cello is in the key of C. We typically stay out of treble for the most part but cello can have both the viola (alto) and treble clef or G.
I'm working on Fantasy Life: the girl who steals time. I also have Yonder and Skyrim that I got for my birthday.
Are you working on any crafts at the moment?
Cute ha :D
sounds like a nice day :) yep mostly chill :D
that's definitely an easy key to find music for :D Most of my musical instruments are in C, but the tin whistles are in D (I think?) and two of my recorders are in different keys as well (possibly F for one).... rather than learning new fingering for each recorder, I ended up just transposing the music so I could play with the same fingering as if it was in C :P
That sounds like a fun game :d
Nah, I've not done any crafts for a couple of months - last time I did some sewing, I had a massive flare of (whatever this muscle thing is), and I've got another flare at the moment (my muscles and energy feel like I've got the flu.... without having the flu if that makes sense?) :K Still hoping to get an appointment arranged for a gp home visit so they can tell me what 'this' is, and how I can work around it!
Thanks :D I admit I haven't changed it for a little while - I thought about making a snowball fight HA, but we had a heatwave last weekend so I didn't want a woolly outfit for my HA laughs

Hi gals! I made it home from visiting my friend, late on Sunday night. I fell ill last week, so I had to postpone for a few days. Not a fun way to end a nice trip. I am finally starting to get a bit better now slowly. Knock on wood! My friend has been having some complications after the chemotherapy treatment, so I am glad I was able to be there a bit to support her.
You can read above from the update after my trip if you want. How have you been? :)
Feel free to read above from update after my trip. :)
It is nice that they had such a generous deal on anything that were concidered an uniform. I am surprised you were able to decide for yourself where you wanted to get an uniform for work! My uniforms has always been free, which is nice even though it is not something anyone would want to to wear outside of work. :P
Well, keeping my feet wrapped into the duvet, beat having your cat attack your toes, so it worked out. :P I am glad I don't have to worry about that now tho. ;) Cats can be wonderfully weird!

aww that stinks that you weren't well, but hopefully it won't be long before you're feeling more yourself again squishes gently Hopefully your friend will be able to have a break from the chemo so she can recover from those nasty complications as well :)
It did seem really strange - in the job I had before that one, we had rules for the uniform (like what colour suit we could wear, or what colour shirts) but as we had to get it ourselves, again we could buy it from whatever shop we wanted - I tended to get mine from the very cheap shop down the road laughs
I've got a lot of suits in the wardrobe still - not sure I'll ever need to wear them though (and that's the disadvantage of having to buy them yourself!) :P
At least attacking your toes isn't something that Pusur learnt to do! ;)

Thanks. :squishes: I am thankful my friend did not catch whatever bug I had. Lucky really, since chemo will lower your immune system. I am still experiencing some brainfog and such, but otherwise I don't feel too bad anymore. :
With the way uniforms worked at that job, it made sense to buy the clothes from one of the cheaper shops. Sometimes it is nice to be able to wear something "smart", but I can't say I own a lot of suits or dresses. :P
Pusur's special trick is sneakily licking my lips to show affection when I am closing my eyes to try and sleep. lol Not a fan of that one either, but at least it does not hurt
