Yea probably so :) We've talked a good bit recently, since we've been sharing the lawn mower and I've been giving her food from the little store that I won't eat. She either eats it or takes it to church/work to give away. I went twice this week! I was a bit disappointed the 2nd time, they showed a picture of cherries, but apparently were giving out pears first, THEN cherries when the pears ran out. I wanted the cherries! Oh well. I feel they do a bit of false advertising when they do that, but its to stretch the stuff out so everyone gets a good bit, I do understand that, but, really? Show me cherries and then I don't get any :( At least they could say THIS or THAT instead. I'd have happily left the pears behind for cherries LOL So between the two trips, I got a bag of pears, two bags of plums, another box of mini chocolate bundt cakes (hostess), two heads of broccoli, FOUR heads of cauliflower, a bag of carrots, a bag of celery, two red onions, a bag of salad mix, a package of baby tomatoes, a bundle of kale, an artichoke, a package of candy grapes (never had those before! they are ... interesting! I've had the cotton candy green ones but these are red), raspberries, blackberries, FIVE boxes of blueberries, FIVE bundles of cilantro, 6 yogurts, a box of eggs, a gallon of tea, 4 lemons and 3 sweet potatoes! Phew! I almost went back this morning for the cherries when I saw they were giving them out still but I have so much already LOL And I didn't need more of the other stuff. I only wanted the cherries so I told myself NO. So I got plenty of good stuff! Totally worth going twice.

Ryan brought over his gun cabinet and guns, he's putting all his stuff in storage and didn't want that in storage. He also brought me his halloween decorations LOL SO now I have an awesome talking light up pumpkin :D until he buys his own house in a year or two and takes it back. LOL I don't know if I said? He is going over the road again, only be home on weekends, and will just stay in a hotel when he is off on the weekends. He wants to save up for a down payment on a house. No more renting. He also told me he has a credit card with a 5k balance. And he's used most of it sigh I now know where Shane gets it from. WTH? He needs to be paying off his taxes, NOT a credit card! Whatever. His problems, not mine. (To be fair, I'm not great w/ credit cards either, which is why we've been in bankruptcy twice and I didn't WANT to get a credit card again, but have to in order to build my credit so I can put mortgage in my name).

That's so awesome! Yeah, definitely worth going twice!

Man, I'd die for the cauliflower, it's SO expensive lately! Way out of my budget LOL.

It's storming again, third night in a row. Here's to hoping the power doesn't go out this time!

I never buy it :P I gave most of it to the neighbor, but I cut up one head and blanched/froze it. Did the same for the broccoli. Need to do the carrots. Most of the time I eat broccoli and cauliflower raw, with ranch. When I get it from a veg tray or whatever. I also use broccoli in my broccoli/rice/cheese casserole. Might mix some cauli into that. Neighbor told me how she roasts hers. Might try that. I also kept the raspberries and blackberries. Gave her all the blueberries. I don't like blueberries :P I kept one bag of plums. some of the pears, the grapes, yogurts, eggs, lemons, sweet potatoes and tea. Oh and the chocolate cakes, since Nathan and Shane both wanted some. Even tho I did take 3 boxes to school and gave one cake each to 17 kids lol

So I am done with both of my ECCE classwork for this week, except the discussion board in the one class (the in person one) it was still locked for some reason? And of course the lesson plans, which we have to attend an in person class to do anyway - Eh. I am not worried about it. I'm sure she will open it later and let us do it. She is so very laid back/easy going. I didn't even email her about it. I missed 1 question on the quiz for the harder class, (which btw, the directions said read chapter 5, take ch 5 quiz...the quiz link says "chapter 4 quiz" SIGH!!!!!) It didn't tell me which one I missed. They were all true/false questions. ARGH. I hate not knowing which I missed. Usually it tells me what one I got wrong. Oh well. Going to read chapter 5-7 in the empl class and then I have a quiz and discussion board to do there, plus work ethics. and replies. I have until like Oct something to do it tho :P sigh the work ethics are not even listed for grades on that class, and yet when I emailed the teacher to see if she wanted replies to the work ethics (some do, some don't), she posted an announcement that said "be sure and do 2 responses to discussion boards" sigh I hate doing the work ethics as it is, now you want me to respond to others and you aren't even GRADING IT?

Roasted cauliflower is my absolutely favorite! We'll eat two full big heads (like.. BIG ones) for the five of us, and sometimes people are still sad LOL.

Power stayed on here, but there was some crazy flooding all over the place. We're staying put for the most part today.

The teacher of this class is the leader of the childhood education department for the college too! I think it must have to do with his vision issues. Like he's grabbing the wrong link or typing the wrong # or putting it in the wrong spot or something. I dunno. Its weird. The class I had with him over the summer was all papers, "type a 1 page paper, explaining .... " and such. No quizzes. Can't remember if there was discussion boards, I think there was. But its the quizzes mostly that are messed up.

And every class is supposed to do work ethics, but its up to the teacher on how. Like, Godat, the teacher I knew, so I took his class in person, he chose not to do it at all and just gave everyone who showed up and did work points for work ethics or whatever LOL Others just ask for a sentence, or a quick explanation, one class I just simply had to evaluate myself twice - once at the beginning (mark yourself 1-5 on a scale of where you rate yourself good to bad on this work ethic) then redo it again at the end (did you improve?) :P Most of them have done a discussion board - where you just type your sentence or two about the work ethic - like "how does appearance matter" or "what does having good character mean"

Oooh yeah, could be vision problems. Still, it's a big problem! For you, and the rest of the class. :(

Making tea, making my lunch (ok packing a frozen meal and some fruit...) Oh found out that the in-person class will be in person, the teachers meeting was cancelled and since she was sick last week, she decided to meet this week instead. So on Thursday I have a half day of work, doctors' appointments (mammogram, pap smear, biometric screening, women's physical - the works!) and then get to go to class :P

Looked up on scholarship universe last night, and filled in the questions it asked (as much as I could) and it said it could offer 143 scholarships to apply for :o So i browsed through them. I know I am already going to apply for 2, bfts (prek) and local school system (those are not scholarship universe one tho), but wondering how many of these I should try for? I know I won't likely get them, its weird tho, some of them are from company based in like california or nevada, wth? like ok. great, but if you are giving ONE scholarship and people from all over the US are applying, very slim chance of getting it. I'd rather there was a limit of like, must live in this state, or attend college in this state to apply or something, would make me feel better about that lol

[edit] 645am So last night I went over to play cards with the neighbor :) It was fun. She taught me how to play SkipBo. I'd never played before even tho I've seen/heard of the game lots. I think we played about 4 times? She said it was a big deal to her, she was glad I came over, she hasn't had anyone (except family) over since forever. Aww. Makes me more glad she asked. Guess it wasn't her feeling sorry for me like I wondered lol (tho it also could have been, too) But we talked about lots of things, where we grew up, families, other games we like to play. I am taking PayDay and Mario Gamer Monopoly over next time to play! :P Dunno when yet.

Shane will be home in a few hours. I'm not sure if/when he is going on that new team (not the right word but can't think of it) where he goes out for 3 weeks or not. He is supposed to, after today. They are supposed to call him later. If not he'll still keep on the with same department/team whatever for now.

I had the awful-est nightmare last night, woke me up at 3 something am. In my dream one of my school kids got injured at school and was bleeding out cries I'll be so glad to see him this morning when he gets to school. He's one of the sweetest boys in the class. I can't believe I had a nightmare about that! Could not really fall back asleep properly after that so I am super tired now.

I really didn't want to go to the womens civics club last night, but a friend asked me to go with her and I was really glad that I did. And then we ended up talking outside for like, 45 minutes! So we were both really glad that we went haha. It's like that a lot though, I've found.

I was very happy to see my little friend walk into school just perfectly fine :) Even tho I knew he would be LOL I'd have been so worried if he had been absent.

It was really nice playing cards and talking. I mean, I do talk to adults at school/work but it's just not quite the same. I fell asleep last night on the couch a little after 7. Woke up by the boys around 930ish, bumbled my way to bed, laid half-awake there for a while, finally fell back asleep. Woke up at 4 something, said, NOPE still tired, dozed off and then got up at 530 for a shower.

[edit] 720 I don't know if I should be happy or annoyed. Like, I am very glad not to have to stay until 830, but honestly, driving out to McDonough for school, and only being in class for 30minutes is a bit annoying. It takes me 45min to get there because of traffic. Wastes my gas to drive there and back for such a short time. But - I also didn't want to play musical chairs or try to make up a transition song on the spot tho to spend more time IN class, soo.....yah. Next week we have to bring 3 props, and tell a kids story with them. And bring a home made musical instrument. Fun. Now I know what to do for the music lesson plans tho, so I can finish that off. And she opened the next weeks assignments, after explaining it to the FOUR of us that showed up (there is only 8 in the class lol)

What are you going to do for the instrument? We've done maracas with rice or beans in an easter egg, with plastic spoons haha.

I dunno. I was thinking a drum, but it depends on what materials I find around the house. Maracas (shakers) are the easiest to make, I agree. Anything that holds stuff, and rice or beans or rocks or whatever! LOL

I have a headache, but I really want to get started on my school work. I didn't do anything but look at it last night, since I had in person class. Its been raining all day. My arm hurts too. So I am BLAH feeling.

[edit] 1130am Grocery shopping done, box finally donated (hahah it has been sitting in the back of the xterra for weeks, and today I was using the xterra and was shopping later than usual, so I went and dropped it off). One quiz done in creative class, and I think I figured out the stupid class quiz set up. It seems he is doing the quiz for the chapter we read the week before. So I did the quiz there FIRST! before reading the next chapter. Another T/F quiz. ugh. I got all 10 right tho. So YAY. I also did the work ethic. It was on "a time your attitude made a positive difference" - so I blathered about how I was being positive and having a good attitude about my divorce and how I feel that made a positive difference, because otherwise we could have been arguing and still in the process instead of being done. And that we are able to get along. :P I am tired of work ethics hahaha and while that may not be strictly what the intent of the assignment is about (I'm sure they mean in a work/school setting) OH WELL My other teacher (ECCE) said she didnt' care if we copied whatever we said in one of our other work ethics lessons to hers - she hasn't opened them yet (for us to do them) hahaha so hopefully she will and I can blather about things I already have said w/o worries there. I did NOT do any school last night. So that is why I am working on it today.

Going to see if the neighbor wants to play Mario Monopoly this evening or tomorrow evening tho, and take a break from it all then :D

edit: ooh light bulb moment!! I was fretting over what book/story I could tell w/o needing to actually read the story, that wouldn't take very long, that I could easily find props for. The Lady with the Alligator Purse! I can grab a purse, pizza (pretend slices from school), and some bath soap :P YAY! LOL And I can tell that "story" by heart. I think I might have the book at school as well, but if not, I'll see if I can borrow it from the library maybe. I don't know if I HAVE to have to book, if I know the story by heart tho.

And now I have turned in 3 lesson plans in the creative class, two assignments in the other, and found the page I need for the third assignment there (no surprise, its in chapter 4, not chapter 6 that we are currently on sigh lol) Later I might do the discussion board in the creative class. I have to say for one of the lesson plans (and it says 5, but only 4 are showing) - I really cannot find a GELD - the learning standards - for it, its relaxation - we are doing music/movement She explained how a relaxation lesson would work, but there is not a GELD really for it. :P I picked one and tried to make it work. We shall see what she thinks. I think tomorrow I'll do the EMPL classwork, read several chapters, take quizzes. Then watch 2 videos and do discussion. I will have to go back and reply to 2 people later in that.

[edit] 1045am Oh I am proud of myself :P Instead of asking Ryan or Nathan, I decided to look at a video and attempt to put the throttle cable (for the push mower) on by myself. AND I DID IT! And I mowed all of Belle's runner line area before I ran out of gas :P Will get more gas when I go fill up the mazda.

oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUBETA! I got all the cookies already, waiting on Kayano to get hungry to feed him lol And can't wait to see what else they release.

And if someone else posts, I'll add pictures of my college classwork art projects, I got pictures of them. The mobile is screwed up, but you'll get the idea. As soon as I lifted it, it got messed up. She was impressed I did something "so delicate!" tho :D

The dinosaurs at the pumpkin patch are SO cool, I'm glad we went! Iz and I went two days in a row LOL

I not only fixed it and mowed the dogs area, I have now also mowed the front yard and the side yard (not the parking side, the other side. Phew.) Still have a HUGE back area to get to and the parking area. I am NOT touching the front. I don't care if it gets overgrown, the grass is thinner there anyway, and I'm sure Olin will mow it eventually :P Since he knows I don't have a mower (the new neighbors boyfriend, he comes over to do her yardwork).

DINOSAURS? At the Pumpkin Patch? I NEED to see pictures. Tell me you got pictures! LOL We normally go to the pumpkin patch with the kids at school. I have no idea if they are doing it this year. We haven't been since covid. I miss going. Its always fun.

I've done a tiny bit more school work (one more lesson plan, and one short assignment - both for the same class) New stuff out tomorrow for the pain in the butt class, and some new stuff for the creative class as well. Still need to do the videos and discussion board for the EMPL class. (and the replies, after I do my post - before Oct 7) :P

I got all my clothes hung up, the shelf FINALLY moved back against the wall (the one I moved out to do my recordings over the summer ROFLMAO) and vacuumed my bedroom AND the hallway today.

Yeah, employee family day. Apparently there's free snacks and such, too?! Hopefully I get to try the green apple kettle corn haha.
