Well luckily it (the shelf) wasn't in the way, it just wasn't put where I wanted it or where it was originally LOL It was at the foot of my bed, in front of my book shelves. So out of the way but not in the right spot ;) Now it is in the corner of the room by the bed, where I want it. Thinking about shoving the bed over next to it. But then the bed won't be centered in the room and I'm not sure how I'll like that. But I will be closer to the air/heat vent in the ceiling and the fan will be more on my side of the bed. Not sure how I feel about either of those, but wonder if I will be better/worse for sleeping that way LOL Like I am freezing when I go to bed, but then hot in the middle of the night (maybe pre-menopausal as well? I DUNNO!!) Yep. I was busy. Needed all that done.
Yep. Oct 7 IS a while away, and I know I will have no issue getting that done before then. Even WITH the other stuff going on. And I think Oct 17th? Or Oct something anyway, is when the 4th class starts... I think I will be just fine with it, unless its difficult on its own. But as it goes along with a class I took over the summer AND the pain in the butt class, I think I'll be ok with it too. And since the EMPL and the creative class are so easy, (and not that the other one is that hard either!) I'll be fine.
Green Apple Kettle Corn? I wonder if Nathan would like that. I don't like kettle corn. I dunno why. Just never liked it whenever I try it.
Today ya'll.... today a kid had a melt down because he had to poop. But didn't want to go use the toilet. sigh So, he wanted to use the "big" one (handicapped stall). Someone else was in it. I tell him to use a different one. Meltdown begins. Other kids get done, leave the bathroom, he is still laying on the floor screaming about needing to poop. But won't get up, even tho the stall is now empty. I take him OUT of the bathroom, walk around the hall to calm down, talking to him about he has to use whatever stall is open and not cry, and if he has to poop, well here is the other bathroom (we are on the other side of the building by now, so the big kids bathroom) Meltdown occurs. NO...he does NOT want to use THAT bathroom, he needs OUR bathroom. Fine. Calm down again, walk to our bathroom. "I don't want to go in that one" ???? WHAT ???? Ok do you want to just go lay down and take a nap now? NOOOOO I HAVE TO POOOOOOP meltdown occurs again. THREE MORE times I calm him, ask him if he will go in the bathroom to poop, three times he says no, but he does NOT want to go to the classroom, he has to POOOP! I finally take him down to the gym. only ONE bathroom stall choice there. Put him in the bathroom, tell him to use it. He screams inside the bathroom sigh I open the door to see why he is screaming now. "I HAVE TO POOP" - well buddy you are IN the bathroom ???? DO you need help? I NEED TO POOOP. Do you want me to put you on the toilet? Is it too high for you cries nods yes. I take down his pants, seat him on the toilet, and close the door again. MORE screaming. I open the door, what is it? Its too loud in here. (UMMMM Maybe becasue you are SCREAMING and its ECHOING??) Stop crying, it will get quiet. FINALLY HE uses the danged bathroom. I tell him to wipe his butt (yes, sigh, we have to do that). He is finally calm. We go to the classroom and he lays down. I cover him up cuz he asks. Then he throws the blanket off, and then starts crying. NOW what? I AM COLD. Put your blanket back on then. I am so DONE by now. I refused to go cover him back up. He cries the last 10 minutes of naptime, does NOT nap (and he is SOOOOO CRANKY). MELTDOWN occurs when the lights come on and we pack up his blanket and mat cover to go home - because he wants a nap!! ITs not NAPTIME anymore!!!
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH I am so glad today is over. He had a good day up til that point. I think he was partly OVER tired. sigh

We actually had three kids yesterday who just.. didn't want anything we had to offer for lunch? Hot ham and cheese, turkey, pb&j, just peanut butter, just jelly, or a cold ham and cheese.
We were out of salads, and out of stuff to make salad. And like.. it was just a disaster. Two of them were in the life skills class, so we finally just went with just mashed potatoes, applesauce, and carrots, without a main. Which is kind of illegal but like,.. it is what it is, I guess?
Also the dinosaurs looked way cooler at night! I'm kind of sad we won't see them again :( Lily was sick yesterday, so she didn't go with us. But she did see them once, at least!
Odd that you had hot ham and cheese as well as cold ham and cheese. We always have a hot thing like chicken (tenders, nuggets, sandwich), cheeseburger, steak & gravy, bbq sandwich, etc and then a cold choice - yogurt w/ goldfish, pbj w/ cheese-stick or grilled cheese - ok the grilled cheese is hot too LOL but its a more basic choice than the other types of main meal choice. We get the main dishes placed on the tray before even anything else gets picked. They have us have the kids pick in the morning (if someone changes their mind, its supposed to be ok, but we rarely have that happen, so I don't know what would really happen if a kid insisted on having the other choice at lunch time)... Then I give them the tray with their main, and they have to pick one other item on offer, a fruit or veggie. They usually all get milk. If they don't get milk, then they have to get TWO more items. Usually we have a potato/rice type offering (tater tots, fries, mashed potato, rice, etc), a veggie (broccoli, carrots, mixed veg, corn, etc) and a fruit (blueberries, apple, banana, sliced peaches/pears etc) they can pick from. Some kids get so pissy about having to put something on their tray when they don't want it. Its the rule tho. THREE items. Milk, main and one more. We tell them they don't have to EAT it, but they have to put it on the tray. And I think that is so wasteful, but I ALSO understand that they are trying to get the kids to have a balanced meal. I think the highschool always has pizza on offer, as well as salad, and then one other choice (I'm not sure tho anymore, as I don't look at the menu anymore for them)
I saw the glow in the dark stuff, THAT was cool!!! Aww poor Lily. Yes, at least she did get to see them before tho.
Homecoming tonight for the highschool. Also I think its the rivalry game (Griffin Bears vs Spalding Jaguars (we are Jags)- the two local highschools lol) - It gets FIERCE!!. Nathan is going with the chorus, and they are having the tailgating for current and alumni members as well, so I drop him off in the bank parking lot for that at 5. I had hoped Katie would come. Nathan asked if she could. She was going to try and see if she and Wesley could get someone to cover for them so they could come. They didnt' say anything tho. SO I don't know if they'll show up surprise us or not. Then I am being nice and taking my shampooer over to Ryans and helping him clean up. He is cooking me dinner as thanks. I am bringing back the mini black fridge he has, and if Shane sticks with over-the-road I guess I will use it for sodas/water :P If Shane comes back home more often then he can keep his food in it.
We also have to have three things, a main and two sides, including at least one fruit or vegetable.
I thought it was weird too, and so did the people who work there full time but.. the menu is what the menu is. It's so dumb, sometimes!
Oooh, fun! We have homecoming next week.. we're going to NYC for a music field trip on Wednesday, Thursday is the homecoming bonfire (we're selling hot cider and donuts), Friday is the game, Saturday the marching band has a competition and maybe? they'll be able to go to the dance.. but probably won't make it dressed and such in time. :(

Honestly, I feel if they do not want the main dish, but want to take and eat all of the side dishes, they've got a good meal. :) Regular rules/allowed or not!
Asked Nathan on the way to the game, it was not the rivalry, that is next week. Phew. I could not imagine the chaos if one of us was doing homecoming at the same time as the rivalry game. I guess they just sent out an email about tickets early for staff members for the rivalry game (LOTS go to that one, even if they don't go to other games). Nathan said the rivalry game was next SATURDAY? At 2pm?? WHAT? WEIRD! I do not recall ever having a football game on Saturday. Whatever.

We're doing homecoming with our rivalry game. No one is really looking forward to it haha.
We only have Saturday games when it's the one team who doesn't have lights on their field.. but it's only every other year, because obviously they're at ours half the time :P
I am exhausted :P I woke Nathan at 9, we were at Ryans by 1015, I helped pack up some stuff, then started vacuuming and shampooing the carpets while they kept packing up. I also helped drive big stuff over to the storage shed (washer/dryer/sofa - lol we had a convoy). Got home about 6-630ish, unloaded a BUNCH of stuff from my car - i brought home my tv tray, some shelves Ryan built and took since he needed shelves when he moved in, the mini fridge, the little desk/shelf Ryan built a long time ago, the food from his fridge, and cabinets, and a bunch of other random stuff like a lamp, toilet paper, laundry soap etc. AND his big grill. So yah. Now I have another big grill outside. its one of those egg shaped ones, but not the name brand one, and its a little one of that type, but its still big :P Then I ran and got Zaxby's for dinner. Now I am eating and chilling out. And I really need to get on and do some schoolwork, but I guess I will do that tomorrow after I go shopping.

Umm, mostly? I have not put the mini fridge in the house yet. His house had bugs (yuck) and while I've got Orkin, they haven't been out recently, so I've been shaking out all the stuff he gave me and making sure no live bugs get in...and so the fridge sat on the porch overnight. I'm going to move it in later today. I've put up the curtains in my bedroom (he had bought blue ones, they match my bedding set better than the green that have been in there for years hahaha! so he let me have some of those), I have grey ones to put up out here, to see if I like having curtains on the wall out in the LR (especially now the neighbor has the very bright security light). I've got the lamp set up in Nathans game room - which is why I wanted it, he has a LED light that is operated by his phone and has a fit if i use the pull cord to turn on the light, plus its likely to come up blue or red or green instead of white and then I still can't see anything (no window in that room) - so I put a lamp in for me :P I put the little lamp in my room to replace the one I've had there, which was a clamp lamp, this one has a steady base. I put one shelf in Shanes room, I think I recall him asking for an extra one, the other is in my closet, but now I've moved the coolers and I don't know where I will put those hahahah The food is all put away in cabinets/fridge/freezer as well. I am debating if I want to put the mini desk back in here over the top of the litter box...the cats seem to like NOT having it there tho.... I dunno. It might just go in the back house.
So yea. I guess long answer short - most of it fits? :P It just made my LR and kitchen cluttered til I got it put away.
I did my quiz and read the next chapter, but I've had a headache all morning (its going away finally). I need to work on more stuff. Three assignments still in that same class. Plus the other classes. I'll get to it :P
Ohhhh, I decided to ask the neighbor, and she's agreed to go to that local pick your own flower farm thats nearby (haha I had forgotten all about it until I drove by yesterday). So we are going to go next Saturday. They are only open Th-Sat.
Ewww, bugs. There is not much more in the world I hate than bugs.

Like I said, this weekend.. not much.
But soon.. this coming week is going to be crazy haha. PS tomorrow is national quesadilla day.
But tomrrow is marching band, and we have a meeting with the band director beforehand.. the Friends of Music does.
Tuesday the kids have band and choir at the college, Wednesday Lily and I are going on a field trip to NYC, Thursday Lily has marching band, then it's the homecoming bonfire.
Friday is the game, and Alex and I are working the concession stand and setting it up, then Saturday there's teh first band competition of the year. I'm not goign though, Iz and I are going are going to a sip n paint at church.
And then Sunday we're going to the pumpkin patch to celebrate my birthday!

The past few days I've been busy with school work, and I went and played games with my neighbor last night too - we played Payday. The night before she got a guy to come over and look at her lawn mower and then he came and looked at mine too - I need to call him tomorrow and get him to come get it so he can fix it...Ryan gave me the $ to do that.
Tonight I ran back over to Ryans house to get a few things that got left (and my $ for this week) - like, dawn dishsoap, carpet shampoo, hand soap, etc. Then Nathan wanted to stop and eat at Griffiths (local burger place) because his friend Jackson works there LOL So we did.
Then I came home and read my chapter, and took my quiz. So now I can move onto next weeks work in that class. - which includes making a puppet (out of an object, NOT a paper bag or paper plate or easy like that) and find a book related to my musical instrument I made (which is proving HARD!) and do a review of it. I also opened the next weeks assignments in the annoying class too :P And printed it off. I'll start on it tomorrow. I'm done with the EMPL classwork until Oct 8.
Whoo for a break.. at least from one class!
My feet still hurt from yesterday haha. I am literally just a mess.
The concession stand last night was a hot mess, the booster club is in charge this year, NOT us, and they're.. awful at it. :/ AND it was the first night of having the actual concession stand.. which was excited, but also like.. it was totally a mess haha.
Oh dear. I hope they figure it out and it gets better. That was the thing I was most concerned about when I left the youth group - I know that I was the one that paid attention to the details and knew the best ways to set stuff up and how to do the sales/discounts and NO ONE ELSE LEARNED. They always asked me. So I was worried for them when I left. I guess they managed tho. But I wonder if they're doing as well as they did when I was there. No idea. I didn't ask. And they might not tell me anyway :P As its no longer my business to know.
So the guy came and got the lawn mower. Says he'll have it back late tomorrow. Hopefully early enough I can mow the yard, but if not I'll do that Monday or Tuesday :P I'm also hoping that when he gets under it he does NOT find out that it is crooked after all....he says that would be another $100+ to fix that rod.
Last night I dropped Nathan off at a friends house to go to the fair - I was going to follow them over to it, as I didn't know where this one was - but when they realized I wasn't staying they said he could ride with them. Then they ended up giving him a ride home too so he could stay late, because I said for him to call me if they left early otherwise I'd come get him by 10.... Anyway. So I came home and did the quiz for the other class (the annoying one). Started reading the next chapter, got about 1/3 of the way thru and said NOPE Don't want to read for this anymore. So i got off and read for fun hahahah :P I'm so weird.
After I finish eating lunch, me and my neighbor are going to go to the flower farm. We were going to go earlier, but since the guy came for the lawnmower we waited til after he came.
oh and at work. you know we have the one child who is still a behavior problem.... well. he has improved a lot in listening (even tho he complains and still argues and STILL gets up and wanders the classroom and tries to play rather than sit/listen-lots and LOTS of redirection with him) - anyway. He HAS gotten better. UNTIL this week! He BIT two students this week! HARD!! Like the first one bruised up almost immediately and I am not sure how he didn't break the skin!! The second wasn't as bad, but still could see teeth marks in the afternoon. Kid got sent home both days. We are like WTH? Kid you were doing better and now you are BITING???
Oh no! Biting is awful.
But yay for Nathan going to the fair, and having friends!
Lily has a competition today... and it's homecoming. (We won 41-7 last night at our homecoming game, btw!). So she was going to come home right after they perform with a friend.. but the friend is sick and isn't going. BUT. ONE more person was going home right after they perform, so she asked this morning and they're going to give her a ride home.
So I dropped her off this morning, went grocery shopping.. Iz and I are going to sip n paint at 4, then pick Connor up from his house, come home and get Lily, take pictures and drop them off at the dance. Or well, maybe we'll take pictures and I'll let Connor take my van. I think he'll be fine to drive it the two miles there and back haha.
I pinged you on facebook :P Blamed you for my flowers LOL I also posted a picture of an eggplant, it was huge. AND a purple pepper! I've never seen a purple pepper before. My neighbor got a purple pepper, some other peppers, an eggplant, and the lady GAVE her a giant squash and zucchini, just to get rid of them :o

Now Nathan wants to go back and hang out with the friend. Was going to be this afternoon, but now its this evening and he's invited for supper and they're having a bonfire. So. Yay.? Dinner on my own again. AND I'll have to go get him later. Oh well. Its ok. Like you said, YAY for Nathan having friends. lol
We massacared them.. that's our 6th? game in a row where we've had at least 40 points and the other team got 1 or 2 tds. Not a bad year!

Iz and I went to a sip n paint last night at the church, and we sat with one of Lilys friends parents (who I went to another sip and paint with!), and my friends Amber and Craig and their son, Ethan. (They were originally Lilys friends parents, too :P Now Lily and Jade aren't really friends, but Amber and I still are haha).
And today we're going to the pumpkin patch, and Suzanne (and Freyja!) are coming too. I think it'll be fun!
Well as almost always, violence made itself known at the rivalry game. :( I went to the library to find a book around 5pm. The game was supposed to start at 230 so when I saw a cop car up by the stadium parking, I was like, oh guess the game is over....then two more cop cars came flying down the road lights and sirens on.... Ugh. Found out later that someone shot people. One person died I believe and another was injured :( This is hearsay - I do not know for certain. So tired of the rivalry game being so violent. It seems at least every other year something like this happens. Maybe we should stop having rivalry games.
On better news : I totally loved your gnome paintings! They were so cute. And I got ALL of my classwork for the annoying class done (not sure how good a grade I'll get on some of it, but I did my best). AND I did my book review. Thats why I went to the library, to try and find a book for my instrument. Found one that had a maraca in the pictures and a maraca is a shaker, and my "rain stick" could be a shaker instead so.....yea. Anyway LOL The book was very cute and I hope its acceptable. It even sounds like a rain stick or a maraca when you shake it LOL It has something in the spine to rattle/make noise.
I guess I will start reading the next chapter in the creative class and do the quiz for that. Oh yes and I need to make a puppet of something. Somehow. Ugh. Look thru my closet again I guess.....See what I can find and how I can adapt it.
[Edit] Finally got an email update about the event. So the shooting was outside the game, near the end of it. A male student did indeed lose their life 😞 it did not mention an injury to anyone else so I don't know about that part.
