Yes, still persona 5. LOL but soo close to the ending now. It has taken me longer since some enemies like to stun me, or insta-kill me. Always a good time.

I hope you can find the wadding without too much trouble. Sounds like it might be fun little project for you. Folded tissues works just as well until you get that sorted. ;)

When I am sorting through my clothes I will sometimes ask my mom to do it with me, to give me a little nudge when it comes to getting rid of things. :blushes: Other than that is mostly getting strict with my myself and asking myself when I used it last time. If it has been years, it is not likely I am going to need it again usually.

I think Mum's "tidied" that cupboard since I put the wadding in there, so it might take a little longer to find! :P I did make myself an A4 sized mat for my car - the dashboard is really patterned so when the sunlight catches it, there's this horrible reflection on the window. I had an A4 foam sheet (left over from when I was making mouse pads), so I covered that with black polycotton and stitched it down. It worked amazingly well, considering I used things I had left over from other projects so it didn't cost me anything to make! :D

My only trouble with asking my Mum is that she tends to like things I've got tired of, or doesn't like things that I want to keep :P I did try the hangers trick in the wardrobe - have all the hangers facing the same way to start with, then when you've worn something and it gets hung in the wardrobe again, the hanger goes the other way around. Then at the end of the season / year you can see what you've been wearing, and what hasn't actually been worn ;) (although I'm still hopeless at getting rid of the ones I've not worn! 😊)

well I didn’t ask and my ankle is being stupid. Plus the diabetes hinders healing so i guess we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. I sound really laid back lmao

Nope. One is a bday gift and the other was for me lol. Id say yeah go with the safety eyes and hold onto it xd

that sounds frustrating. Which game are you playing next?

Ah, I hadn't taken the diabetes into account :K I guess maybe that's why he didn't want to give any idea of timescales?

Well that's even better :P How's the shop sales going anyway?

I think I've found some suitable fabric (just need to check that the fabric is big enough), but now I need to find the right colour thread.... or see if I can get away with using white for the seams as that shouldn't show through pale fabric ;)

And it looks like Minerva are looking for more brand ambassadors again (that's where they give you a bit of free fabric in exchange for you making something and sharing it on their site) - if you're interested, they've got the info here (link)

[edit] I had an unexpectedly productive day today - got some old paperwork sorted (most of it is now in the 'to be shredded' pile), mended a t-shirt that had a hole in it, added a hook & eye to a bought t-shirt that had a v-neck that was way too deep to wear(!), took up the bought PJ bottoms that have been hanging on my wardrobe door for over a year, redid the hem (took it up more) on a pair of trousers I made about a year ago, then because I had the walking foot on the machine, I finished off the sweater I started in September :D ....most likely tomorrow I'll regret having done that much, but I got a lot done today at least! ;)

I need to finish Skyward Sword on my switch next. xD And I have the Hogwarts game.. and soon another Zelda. o-o Are you playing anything?

That always happen when someone tidies up your space. Maybe she remembers where she put it? Worth asking. ;)

That is even better when you can use stuff left over from other projects and it still works so well. :D Sounds like you got a ton done. I felt like I needed a nap just reading all of it. :nods: That sometimes happen when me and my mom sorts through my clothes too, but as long as I get the last say I am happy. :P What makes things even more difficult is that I lost a lot of weight, so that meant even more work figuring out what still fit me etc. And being worried that I might gain weight again and need my old clothes. o-o Never tried the hanger trick, but I heard of it. :)

she didn't spot it (she obviously didn't look in the bags when she rearranged them).... I'll find it eventually!

ROFL today was more of a normal day for me - I hardly got anything done at all, apart from changing the bedding :P That's never helpful when you're wondering if you might gain weight again and need some of the older stuff! I guess one way of doing that would be if you've got space to fold the old clothes (and maybe one of those vacuum bags so it all takes up less space in there) so you can tuck them out of the way for a while just in case?

Time to start looking then. o-o And it always seems to be in the last place you look, which is a silly thing to say now that I thought about it. Why would you keep looking? :P

It always feels so nice to go to bed with clean bedding. Especially if it smells nice after being dried outside. I did put some of the nicer stuff into huge bags and put those into my second storage space. :P Probably to be sitting there for ages. :P

I think I know the bag it's in at least, so that should help me find it a little quicker (or I'll just wait for Mum to need to find something, and grab the bag when she unearths it 😇) ;) I never really saw that saying as silly until someone mentioned it laughs The worst thing I find, is that I say it definitely isn't somewhere, Mum comes along, looks where I say it isn't, and finds it there :K :P

I like the clean bedding, but I'm not overly keen on the line-dried smell ;) How about putting a piece of paper with the date that you stored them, in the bags.... then you'd know how long they've been there and whether you still need them in the future or not?

I have heard some people say: If your mother can't find it, it doesn't exist. 👼 It seems like they have a way of knowing where to find stuff. Maybe it is a part of their handbook or something. o-o

Putting a piece of paper in the storage bags is not a bad idea. Wish I had thought of that when I threw everything in there. Another thing is that I have clothes ranging from size s to above xl, so there is a big range.

ooo I love the new outfit :D

ROFL now that is the perfect quote! :D I still have no idea how they manage to find anything like that though!

And if the clothes are all from different shops, the sizes probably don't match up either, so it would be even harder to organise - certainly over here you might have a small in one shop, but ned a medium for a different shop (why can't they just have standard sizing?!)

Thanks, I wanted to try on the new wig I just bought. :D

It is the same here. Sizes are not consistent at all. I end up not buying much clothes online for that reason, especially trousers. I might do shirts/sweaters and stuff that doesn't require perfect sizing to work for me. :P

it works perfectly :D

I gave up buying trousers at all - once I found a sewing pattern that I know fits me, I figured it was easier to make them rather than trying to buy them (and still have to take them up as they're too long anyway!). :P I still buy t-shirts though, as I've not got the hang of sewing those quite so successfully and the fabric for t-shirts is a lot pricier!

I have been able to find some places now that sells jeans etc with shorter legs that actually fit me without having to alter them. You might have some luck online if you search for petite or something like that. Then again, it is a hassle to return things if you don't end up liking them. :P It is surprising to me that fabric for t-shirts are more expensive. I would have thought it be the other way around. :)

I might have a look for those then - the best jeans I had were actually 'tall' cropped ones with a purposefully frayed hem.... then length was perfect for me as full length jeans (I wore them for ages until they literally fell apart!) laughs

I admit I don't tend to buy expensive t-shirts! But because I need more than a metre to make it (which is weird, considering I can make a pair of trousers from a metre of fabric :P) then that pushes the price up quite a lot :K And when I have found cheaper fabric, the quality isn't quite what I'm after (it's either really thin, or something that would be likely to stretch out after one wash). I'm hopeful I can find something somewhere though! ;)

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! (guess what came in the post today?!) The chalk pen and the whistle book are perfect!! :D :D :D

I have never liked altering the length of my jeans/trousers, as I could never get it to look great since I am stuck sewing it by hand. :D

Buying inexpensive t-shirts can end up getting more expensive since they don't last very long. Some I had have stretched to the point were they were really wide and short. Looked ridiculous so I ended up having to toss them. I won't spend too much on them either of course.

You are very welcome! I am glad it finally arrived. :D :D :D

i do not have good news as i was prepared for. There’s nothing else he can do. I have to have surgery in order to hopefully resolve my ankle problem

if you really get stuck, just turn it up to the outside (literally like turn-ups) and hand stitch it straight down on both sides - it's not as neat as hemming it properly (and sometimes those side seams can get a bit bulky to sew), but it saves a lot of hand sewing 😇

That's true - I try to only pick ones that have a decent feel (assuming I can actually see it in the shop and am not relying on internet shopping :P), but even with those, they sometimes are a lot lower quality after a wash than you'd expect :K

I'm sorry to hear that :( Did he explain what had happened to mean that the surgery is the only option, or is he the kind of doctor who just gives an answer rather than a reason? (I know a lot of the ones I've seen don't like to actually give a reason for things).

I am sorry you need to have more surgery. :( :hugs: Hopefully that will resolve things so that you can move on with your life and have it not be so painful.

I will take a note of that method of hand sewing the hems. 👼 I don't really have the patience to try and get it looking really neat and tidy. :P

It is also annoying when the fabric is a bit see through. :K I don't need that either in a shirt. I try to avoid t-shirts that has fabric that is too thin. That helps some, but it can be difficult to tell how well they will hold up with a few washes.

I haven't ever tried it on jeans, but it was in a sewing pattern for cuffed shorts - it should work fine as those stitches on the side should hold the turn-ups in place ;)

I try to avoid white t-shirts as they're most likely to be too thin & see-through :P I've had some pricier t-shirts that have bobbled after a few washes, so you can't always just go on the price either! Most of mine tend to shrink a bit in the wash, so I have to remember to stretch them out a bit before I put them on next 😇

As long as I don't end up stepping on the hems when I walk I am good. :P

It is not easy to find a white t-shirt that is not see through, so I avoid those too unless I can wear a jumper over them. And those black shirts that looks all washed out after a couple of washes. Why is finding a good t-shirt so complicated? :P Stretching them into shape can help. :D
