Got paged in the middle of the night. Been up since. Should be able to take off early today, tho. [i]should/i] I crashed yesterday immediately after work. Haven't been sleeping well so between the busy work days and lack of sleep, I'm generally pretty tired. When I woke up a couple hours later my insoles had arrived so I had some coffee, let the dog out and let him get his chow in, then decided to try out the inserts. They worked like a charm and we had a nice late evening walk. Will be getting some compression socks and toe spacers delivered this morning. (PF is mostly self treatable) Oh and I just have it on one foot.
Also got some nice, thick (fuzzy pink) slippers that really help with walking on the wood floors. :D

Gonna go make some [more] coffee.

Oh I don't think I'd like being woke up in the night for work :( Glad it means you can get off early (hopefully!) Ooh nice for insoles that help! Toe spacers? That sounds uncomfortable, but probably isnt lol!! I don't like slippers, but I sure do like fuzzy socks!! oooh yes, nice and warm and comfy!! :D

I don't have the kind of energy to run out anywhere in the morning for food, lol. Guess you need that kind of energy to teach young kids all day.

2,750 / 3,000 Gourmand. No where even close. I've never been a go getter when it comes to achievements, tho. Nice job on getting to 100! I saw that you got around 2 something before. Still have yet to breach 100.

Apparently the toe spacers are supposed to stretch out your ligaments to reduce the inflammation of the PF. They have stretchers also, but I don't think I need that at this point. If you've ever had a pedicure or even used the cheap spacers to paint your toes, that's pretty much what I'm getting is.

I had a bit of PF this summer, I ended up just getting inserts for my flip flops (and crocs) and thankfully, that was enough to fix it! I hate anything on my feet really, so wearing more supportive shoes wasn't in the cards for me.. or compression socks :P I think I'd rather live in pain!

Haven't been around much, being in quarantine is maybe getting to me a bit.. but it's a good thing! I've thrown away so much stuff, just from the bathroom so far haha. I might go back in there and weed through some more, now that the trash went out last night.

OH AND. I used up an ENTIRE chapstick. This is the SECOND one in my life, so I think I'm turning magical or something. :P

Two? Your whole life? You're missing out. Ok maybe not. My kids call me a chapstick-aholic. I have 5 tubes on my desk right now, and one at work, and one in a special holder on my keys.....ummmm hehehehe :D To be fair, they're different flavored ones..... :D

I don't run out every morning. Most days is a granola bar or something similar. Occasionaly I'll go grab the breakfast at school - their biscuits (sausage, bacon, chicken) are decent...but to me its a bit much to charge me $2.50 for a small biscut, a juice box, and a peice of fruit. I don't get the milk. I could, but I don't drink it. So I don't do that often, tho I DO almost always eat school lunch (3.75 for that for me). I made a bargain with Nathan, if he gets up every morning with only 1 time of me telling him to get up (I prefer him to get up on his own, but omg he is a slug-a-bed) I will buy him breakfast out on Fridays. Yes Yes, I know. Bribary. And if I could only have 1/10th of the kids energy I would do GREAT at school! LOL they are lil maniacs, always on the go. Love em to death tho.

Well, I always HAVE a lot of chapsticks, but I always lose them or something before I finish them :P

That doesn't sound like a lot to me for a breakfast sandwich, juice and fruit... even at school, just the juice or fruit would be $1 each. It's kind of insane!

Well it used to be $2 til the pandemic.... And I guess its not really TOO Expensive, but I can get a much bigger biscuit, and a large drink at McDonalds for only $2. I guess if I drank the milk and liked more of the fruit choices, I'd be happier with it :P Most of the time I don't pick the fruit choice either...sometimes the fruit choice is a 2nd juice choice .... I guess mostly its the fact that its a realllly small biscuit. Like, you know those Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits, they come in a 2pk. Well its like ONE of those. Small. Meh. At least its food. They don't allow purchase of just juice or just fruit at our school (Maybe at the high school? I don't know). Its crazy tho because they'll give the kids these GIANT bowl/cups of cereal that the kids can't even finish, but the biscuit is so small?? lol

And of course, ALL the kids are getting free meals right now anyway due to the pandemic. :) Which I think is great, but is another reason I'm annoyed that the adult cost went up. Meh.

My history teacher is an evil genius and is super annoying. I just read thru all the directions for the discussion forum posts and he changes who he wants to answer what question, and who you respond to almost EVERY single discussion topic!! Like, for the first one, 2 groups, FIRST name A-L or M-Z, respond to OPPOSITE group for both responses. Second one, LAST name, 3 groups like A-J, L-R, S-Z or whatever, respond once to EACH opposite group for responses. etc UGH SO CONFUSING!! But so smart, because then he knows you know or read all the different information in each chapter, not just what YOU had to type up. AND OMG I'll die. I have to make a power point presentation? I have no idea how!! Teenager to the rescue I guess. For the final project. sigh

I did the best I feel I can (tho I also feel its a bit disjointed, and ends badly, like I have no conclusion type paragraph but I can't see how to include one either. Ugh.) And then I just found out that for the stupid work ethics assignment (do I have to do this type of thing EVERY TERM?? EVERY CLASS? I don't know. I only had to do something for it in Psych last semester not Econ, but both classes have a work ethics assignment this time) - well for History I have to do a freaking 3 minute video on work ethics!! I dislike videos even more than papers!! So now on top of papers, and a power point presentation, I have to do a video!?!!
I'm already done with history for this semester. done done done. Ok I'm not done, but I'm annoyed by it. I'll do my best. I promise.

Hey hey. Had a nice reprieve from work and had taken down my Christmas decor so I could start putting up some fun stuff for Valentine's day (haven't found shit for Lunar New Year) but still have plenty of cleanup to do since mother nature showed up on Sunday and I was down for the count.

I have a problem w/ dry lips but I think it's medicine induced b/c what I'm on always makes me thirsty. I'm rarely w/out my big Coleman of water, lol. I've even tried electrolytes thinking that it may be due to a lack of but it really didn't help. Lately I've been using the Aquaphor I got a couple years back for a bad burn on my foot - I spilled boiling hot water on it and had a BAD BURN and yes, I have pictures for you if you wanna see. :P Using Aquaphor eliminates my dry lips within an hour and it is amazing and then if I remember, I use Blistex Medex which seems to be the only one that lasts. (Can't stand chapstick... even got my dad using regular blistex a long time ago.)

Mieke - I work in IT. My department is dealing w/ Mainframe scheduling. All the crap that runs between computers to different stores and servers and warehouses goes through the Mainframe.

Sorry I've been MIA, Kat!! I pop on here and there but usually on my phone and it gets annoying typing on my phone. I took yesterday off work and the last thing I wanted to do was get on my laptop, lol. I mean I did once to look up some DIY stuff so I can see it on a bigger screen but that was it. I'm here but you're right... where did everyone go?

I think everyone took an internet break for the weekend, except me!! LOL I totally get it tho, some days you just DON'T want to be online. But being online IS my relaxation, most of the time. (other times, it's reading!! and I do that a LOT too)

This week we have 10hr workdays. Yay. NOT. I used to use medicated blistex a lot. But after using chapstick for a while I got used to that and now I'm addicted lol I DO get chapped/dry lips a lot (or at least the feeling of it, if not ACTUAL dried out dry)

Re-reading my 6 chapters of history, preparing to take the quiz tonight. Gonna say I do NOT like the fact that neither history nor music lets me fix any wrong answers on my quizzes lol I really enjoyed that in psych, and the fact I could retake it in econ helped a bit too (even tho I had to retake the whole test there, and not just fix the questions I got wrong answers to) But, to be fair, that is how regular classroom tests work, so I shouldn't really complain about it. I'll do the best I can and hope for a passing grade!

Oh yea - the other 2 PreK teachers are out this week, with.... Yep. Covid. AND one other kid in my class tested positive this weekend. One other kids sister did (Both those kids went home Thursday not feeling well)....

Sounds like things are pretty hectic at both schools. Six chapters of history.... snooze fest unless it's world history but even then it's always about wars, it seems.

Now home and trying to relax a few minutes before dinner...then on to more school work (I read at work for the last hour I was "working") I have been getting on here on my desktop, and I have NO ISSUE with the forums opening. But if I get on my phone or tablet, I have to sign in to new subeta still. sigh Its weird. But whatever.

Sounds like you need a good break, Kat. That's weird about the forums but I've experienced s/thing similar when I couldn't stay logged in by using an incognito tab. Things were MUCH faster. I mentioned it on the thread but it doesn't seem he can figure out why the login issues are still there. Did anyone see the thread on "communication"? People deserve to vent in a respectful matter and I was glad to see it.

What's everyone got going on this weekend?

Today is the pop-up food pantry for the month, so I'll go over there around 11:30 and unload and get everything ready, then I'll pick Lily up at 3 to come help be a runner. We need teenagers to load the carts, then they bring everything out and put it into the trunks. A lot of people who come are old and live alone, so it's a big help for them. Last month, Elly ended up walking all the way home with one of the ladies, carrying a 25 pound turkey.

They're good kids.

Then tomorrow Lily is going to a birthday party with her friend, then there's a talent show for the youth group. Should be horrible :P

And Sunday, we're going to Sunday dinner for the first time since christmas!

PreK can have up to 22 kids per class. And yes, we have 22 kids. Our school is always full. Some of the other schools don't get full (I heard of one last year that only had 10 kids in it!!! - tho this year I think most of them have at least 15-18 if they aren't full).

This weekend is just basic shopping and house cleaning.... and school work. No plans to go or do anything special/different. I guess I do have to go to the DR if I want my prescription refilled, thats what the pharmacy told me when I called to check on it.

Well, I guess it's fairly normal to have 22 kids. I've always had 22 kids in PreK, and they had 22 in class when Katie (20yrs old) and Nathan (15yrs old) were in PreK. I wish they'd drop it to 20 because sometimes just having 2 less makes a huge difference ... and for classes like mine this year, that helps a lot! Today we had 4 absent, and 1 went home before 10am due to brother being sick, (so we really had 5 absent) ....and it was oh so very nice because 3 of them were the ... challenging ... kids.

Completely done with module 1 for Music (which wasn't due til the 28th) and just about done with Module 2 for History (which is due Thursday/Sunday) - I have done my writing, but haven't posted it, and need to do the quizzes, post and respond.

22 in a pre-k class is insane, IMO. IIRC, it's only 6 per adult for 4/5 year pre-k here, by law.
