I just noticed has changed to look like her sunflower pic! <3
Managed to catch one more item of the More Apeel line. Now I gotta catch the makeup from the new line, just b/c it's purrty.

Oooh Kat, that would annoy me so much!
I did indeed, Taarna! ... and then I changed it again, because I decided to go with the funny one.. which is ALSO how I looked :P
Guys we cleaned out the concession stand last night.. the president and I. And we were FURIOUS. OK SO FIRST OF ALL.. the FoM and the booster club split the costs for the food. At the end of LAST football season, we asked what they wanted to do with the leftovers, they said whatever, so we split it and they promised to come pick theirs up.
WELL. They did.. not. So needless to say, there were mouse droppings all over the place. PLUS, the fridge broke last year, but we did get another one donated.. but apparently no one can go and pick it up. So the booster club posted on facebook, a bunch fo people said they could do it.. and she's not getting back to any of them.
PLUS, teh compressor on the drink cooler blew over the past year, so we need ANOTHER new fridge, or $1800 for a new compressor. And the booster club has like.. zero money. We do, however, have money. But we only get 2/5 of the proceeds from the concession stand, so I'd say we'd only pay 2/5 of the costs for the drink cooler, NOT half. It's different with the food, because we do get reimbursed for that.
Ahhh well, its the professor's choice to use the book or not. I just wish I'd known earlier. Most people don't buy the book until right before, but I only get paid 1x a month, and that was 2weeks ago, soooo.....buy it when I had the $ to do so or wait til later when I probably would have spent the $ I needed saved for the book (I am terrible about saving, I'll either just NEED something, or forget what I was saving the $ for and spend it on whatever) and then have to wait two more weeks for next paycheck was my choice....so I bought early.
Ugh that is so nasty. I hate mice. Wonder why they didnt come get it, because sheesh, ya'll would have taken it if they didnt want it, right? :P And ugh for the $ issues for the drinks/fridge stuff. Thats annoying too. Coolers with ice might work I guess? Tho you'd have to be buying the ice too....hmmm Could you - maybe - make a bargain with the other club (written, signed, notarized, whatever it takes) that if you guys buy the new fridge/compressor that ALL proceeds go to you until their part of the amount is paid off (or all of it is paid off if they don't want to help pay for it)? Or something like that? I don't know if your group would want to do that, or if the other group would be willing to do it either. But its a thought. Its a little crazy that if they depend on that for a fundraiser, that they aren't willing to help out. Why were they not there helping clean up too for instance?? Sheesh.
Mieke does look pretty in her sunflower field ;) Even sunburnt. and Taarna you are a pretty kitty ;)
I second what Kat said, Mieke. Sorry things turned out like that when it should've been a happy event. The sunburnt look is cute. I don't think I've seen that in the wardrobe. Goes perfect w/ the sunglasses on your head. :P
Look at Kat, going w/ the contrasting colors! :O So bold of you!
I'm terrible w/ saving, too. The once a month paycheck doesn't help one bit. The past couple months, each time I've had a little bit saved I end up using it by the end of the month.
I didn't see your edit until Mieke mentioned it so I went back and looked and wholly shit!! Really do hope they take it back b/c that's needed money!!
UGH! College prices are just outrageous.

That is actually one of the cheaper books I've gotten too. The cheapest I have seen for me was $30 for the used biology book, but I didn't buy that. I saw it during the summer and when I went back to write it down to buy it said no book needed. Wish English had said that 😜
Hehehe the green shirt is made with the orange belt already on it so I just used more of that color ☺️
Yeah I saw that w/ the belt and while I love the tops, I always wonder how they get their color combo ideas and to be honest, I think they just throw colors together, sometimes. :P
Got all the indoor/outdoor plants watered w/ plant food included. Also shared that food w/ the tomatoes, since I couldn't get a lot of new dirt this year and I know my soil is lacking in nutrients. Got the chickens taken care of, grabbed one more yellow squash (before it got overripe which I've always struggled with, but cooking them you can tell by their skin, lol). Let a couple of non runner kitties - they don't run off - outside while I sat and enjoyed the nice weather on the tiny deck I have. I'll probably only have to water the plants one more time before I move them inside when it gets cooler, which is always ideal since half of them don't have water trays.
Need to upload some pics so you can see this yummy variety of cherry tomatoes that I have. They're incredible! Really hoping I can transplant them and keep them going through winter. Tomatoes need so much sun so I'm hoping I have enough lighting this time around.

OOO YAAAY!! So glad to see you got that back!!
I could make some fried green tomatoes right now but honestly, I just want some really good, non-chemical sprayed, unfrozen, ripe tomatoes. Can't believe how much taste I've been missing out on. Gets to me every year.

LOL Kat... I'm sure it's their fault.... although it's weird that a southern restaurant couldn't fix them right.
Talking about food is making me hungry. Making some rice, now. Don't know what I want to eat, tho.

We had nachos. Not that that's any help to anyone :P
Yay for getting your money back, Kat!
Nachos are delish! I love them. Its a good thing I got it back, but now I have to spend it. My email from the power company came and I'm down to only $7 so I need to put more on my electric (I have a prepaid electric, its awesome!! I get a daily email telling me how much $ I have left - I usually put $120 for the month, but for some reason this month I've spent MORE when I thought I'd spend LESS due to being back at school - I dunno whats up with it) Ugh. So yea. Good for getting it, and byebye it goes.
[edit] 610am Good Morning Ugh I hate when I think of something I want to tell Nathan, and then when I finally get up out of bed, and go to write it down, I cannot remember what it is!!!! (He is staying home today, no school for kids, only teachers- remember, so I'm letting him sleep in and writing him a note on things to do today while he is home, after he finishes his schoolwork -which he said is only two papers).
[edit] Saturday 715am Good Morning. I hate being woke up by a dog whining at 5am. I ignored her and went back to sleep for a little while.
Game plan for today :
Phew. Lots to do.
I have the same thing w/ trash everywhere. Need to get a small can to put in the living room and clean out my bedroom can as it's full of random crap, lol. That would help.
Need to do my catboxes too and I'm going to move them on to the scrap of carpet I still have left in that room to cut down on traveling litter and work on getting the other set up for a growing area. Wish you could set up track lighting w/ those removable sticky strips, lol. (not even going to chance that)
Couple store trips and just chilling out, really. Supposed to rain this weekend and my outdoor stuff is already done.
[edit]You got a forum point while making a post! Check out the shop here! Damn, haven't seen one of these in awhile.

Congrats on the forum point!!
I have cleaned out the cat box - but NOT cleaned it completely yet, just scooped it out. Gathered up all the trash from the LR (and I do have a small basket I've been using for a trash can in here, but stuff still ends up on the side table, the desk and the couches LOL) I have cleaned off one couch, and most of the other - Had to so I could fold the clothes HAHAHAH. I have just started my 4th load of laundry, have 2-4 more to do - I did an extra load of blankets/mat covers that were left at school by sick kids - I figured why not bring them home and wash them rather than them using dirty/germy ones when we come back on Monday-or sending them home monday and the poor kids have to lay on plastic mats yuck. Two loads were hubby's. This one I just started is mine. Then I have Nathans, and our towels, and if he needs whites washed. I have done ALL (oops nope - missed a bottle) of the dishes. Some dirty stuff is in the dishwasher and will get washed tonight after dinner. I also wiped down the stovetop and the countertop. I even washed the sink. The LR floor is mostly picked up, soon to be vacuumed. Shane called - he wants to come home today for a while - so I'll be running up to pick him up in a little while. I don't know if he'll spend the night or go back to his truck tonight, but he is eating dinner here. Chilling would be nice. I have played farmville, and autopriced my shops here. I guess thats some chilling for me ;)
I'm not trying to pile on stuff that will make me feel overwhelmed so I just try to do what I feel like doing WHEN I feel like doing it. I end up doing nothing when I attempt to plan it out.
I didn't even feel like going to the stores and that was forced but I managed through it. My oldest recently shared her Spotify account w/ me and I made this large playlist of movie scores, which I'm mildly obsessed w/ the music in movies, and listening to it I can just zone out and go where I need to in my own... zone. Tbh, some times I really have to pull myself out of the zone so that I pay attention to people around me, although today that was no problems b/c it seemed like everyone and their families and friends were out on the road by 10 and it was ridiculously busy everywhere I went.
Neck is bothering me so that's another reason I'm chilling. Trying to avoid ibuprofen, if I can. Took some last night before bed so I can sleep w/out waking up w/ a neck headache that s/times turns into migraines.

I'm a bit the opposite - I like having a list of things I want to get done, so I can mark it off and feel accomplished. Even if I don't finish the list, I can say, LOOK I finished THESE items. Sometimes the list is only in my head ;)
I have done 2 more loads of laundry, went out to lunch with the boys (Slices pizza), and played Hunting-opoly with them. Shane bought it at Bass Pro Shop and wanted to play. I love monopoly games so I was fine doing that. It was cute to see the differences - hunting lodges/activities. Nathan had to answer two trivia questions and was supposed to act like a squirrel but refused LOL (from the "chance" cards - which are some sort of hunting club cards) I own like 5? Monopolies. Maybe more if you count the gamer versions lol I have Monopoly Jr, regular Monopoly, Anniversary (25th? 50th? Don't remember) Special Edition Monopoly, Electronic Monopoly, umm I swear there is another one. Plus two gamer versions - Mario Kart and Super Mario Monopoly. I want to buy Game of Thrones Monopoly LOL and Monopoly for Millenials. Ooooh Its Griffin-opoly the other one I have, for my city.
Soo yea, Monopoly and chill, right? hahah. Shane won. Only fair since it was his game and he bought it and this was the first time its been played.
Monopoly for Millenials 😂 Was never a fan of the game. I have Cards Against Humanity that I'm waiting to play with a few people. :P
Before I go on w/ what I've accomplished, I wanted to share a thought about how silly I thought it was to keep posting about our chores, but honestly, that's only a self thought b/c I like seeing what others have done as it inspires me to do more than I probably normally would do. I'm even subscribed to a couple cleaning channels on the 'tube (that I rarely watch) b/c I love seeing the efficiency at how they can go in and completely knock out a very cluttered room and teach the person how to organize and keep things from getting so bad.
Catboxes done.. had to keep chasing off the ginger from going in one before I got them moved to their new spot. Before that, I brushed the dog and it started pouring (and is now doing so again) so I chased him out into the rain so he could get all the dry skin I brushed up off his fur. After he was fairly wet, I brushed him a little again, lol. Brushed the ginger kitty, which is the most shedding cat I think I've ever had, w/ the underhair brush for my dog and was SHOCKED how much it actually takes off! He looovvvees to be brushed so I never have any problems w/ using a regular brush on him but this was awesome. He might be good to go after half an hour of it....
Think I'm ready to take a big garbage bag to that other room and start throwing things away as it's been the catch all for a lot of shit since my youngest moved her bedroom upstairs to where my oldest formerly was and I took over her old room b/c it doesn't sit next to the road.
Need to look up what oil I can use (or other safe remedy) for my dogs dry skin. I'd like to use vinegar, but if he has small scratches from itching, I certainly don't want it to burn.
Anyone have suggestions?

Nope, no clue what could help itchy skin on the poor pup. My dog has it too, itchy - but its because she's got fleas. I need to see about flea control AGAIN. I swear, I get started on it, then forget to go buy it again (I usually get the 2 or 3m pills but they are pricey, and I also have a hard time affording them for more than 1 animal).
Organizing videos are awesome! I love watching them. However I realistically know that I will never be able to copy what they do and keep it that way. I do try to organize my own way with some things tho.
Annnnd as for posting about our chores, well hey - we are in a chitchat board and that is what we are chitchatting about! So be it! :P We chitchat about random things!! Chores, school, kids, houses, spouses, annoyances, things that piss us off, yep yep yep. On and on. Chores is ok to talk about ;) Especially when it makes us feel like we accomplished something!!!
I think Katies group of friends played that at our house a couple times, it was strange. I didn't play - because it was a bunch of teenagers and I didn't want to be an interfering mom. Let them have their fun. But I listened in.
Honestly, I see that game as more of an adult game, which is why I got it. There's some really funny things but also raunchy stuff.
Checked w/ a couple people and they suggested the vinegar, just very diluted. I do have that Mom's version of ACV so I haven't used it in awhile and thought it would be well used on the dog. REALLY hoping it's not fleas, but even after a bath with some $12 shampoo, he was itchy and had dry skin which honestly he didn't have until he went to TN w/ my brother, got fleas, is allergic to them and got a nasty rash on his skin. When my brother came back w/ him, he had lost weight, which was a good thing but my gawd his fur looked absolutely horrible, as did his skin. I keep checking him and watching the cats to see if they start getting sudden itchy syndrome and haven't seen anything but I'm still very worried as I can't afford the different types of flea meds, either. Fortunately, I've rarely had to deal w/ it, but I hate that you have to pay for a 3-4mth treatment when I've always been able to get rid of them in a month. One year it was horrible, and I needed 2mths, but I think that was a special case in the 13yrs I've been at this place. On carpet, a diy thing is to salt it. Yes, salt. Salt it and let it sit for a week. Fleas and their eggs will dry up. The one time I had a horrendous case of fleas, I used this little tidbit after regular pesticides weren't working in the basement (I don't use that shit around cats) so I started salting, then the upstairs (regular floor level) when I still had a bunch of carpet. It works like a 'charm'.
