Three days!! I would be going crazy! Can't use my phone to login to work!

I'd be going crazy, too! And ugh. I'm glad someone picked up your sub job, though!
Here, some of the classes are asyncronous, meaning that the teachers are down with covid and they can't get subs, so instead of learning virtually, they're on their own, just completing the work. Two second grade classes and a third grade. It's crazy.
Ugh.
Also, Elly and I are feeling fine today, thank goodness. I was so achey yesterday... but I hate it when I get even a stuffy nose, so. :P This was the better option for me, anyway!
Taarna, it's nice to see you back here! Still looking festive, I like it!
Glad you and Elly are feeling better. I haven't gotten the booster and don't know if I will.... I feel quite fine today, but I have to say it's partly because of the meds I'm sure. Steroids plus some really great cough/congestion stuff!!
I am about to go insane. I am glad my phone works but I can only do so much on here vs my desktop..... I got yet another email stating they are working on it....(got 2 the first day...)
Are the kids at home learning asynchronously? Not in the building I assume. We sort of did that, every other Friday last year when we were out half of each semester doing virtual. Well not PreK but everyone else.
We hired a special sub or two called bridge teachers, for when a teacher has to take time off for coming down sick with covid or being tested/quarantine. I'm not sure exactly how it works, I just know they did it.
Headed out for my test....
lol You're the second person that said "festive" to me, Mieke. :P It's just that green and red are the highlight of the seasonal/winter themes, for me. Green for evergreen trees that symbolize renewal and rebirth. Red of holly while the holly bush itself being prickly was said to ward off bad energies. (Bells are for the same thing, which is why I have my own decoration on my front door that has bells on it.)
Speaking of festive, Lunar New Year is Feb 1st! Year of the Tiger. Wonder what the site or CW artists will create for it.
Glad you and Elly are feeling better, Mieke. I think I missed that when skimming through posts I had missed. Hate feeling achy and man do I hate a stuffy nose!!

I don't think the site has celebrated lunar new year since they revamped holidays a long time ago. I only vaguely recall red envelopes...and I have the coins and spirit animals in one pets treasure chests. CW designers may do something.
I do miss celebrating some "real" holidays on-site, tho I enjoy the made up ones they replaced them with just as much.
Bam!Ouch! You tried to throw a Top Hat Snowball at but they reflected it! Maybe you should be a little more careful next time... Ahem. What!?! You are flinging them at people but not allowing us to throw them at you? Lol!! That was random BTW. I decided oh well if people dont want a snowball, I'm doing random, it's easier than typing or selecting a name.
I'm doing random, too. I don't care enough to buy the shield again, I had it once upon a time.
Nope, they're learning synchronously, meaning they log in and the teacher teaches the class like always, just.. the kids are all in their desks at home, instead. It's much better, they did asynchronous the end of 2020 and it. was. AWFUL.
Morning yawn
I audibly laughed out loud when I read your post, Kat. I figure that I hit enough people with shields and have the snowball reflected back on me that at least I can kinda protect myself from others. :P Sometimes I hit the same person over and over if they have a shield just to see how many it takes before it goes through and then I thought, hmmm, wonder if this counts towards my achievement? I haven't paid attention so I don't know, yet...

I don't know if it counts or not. I don't see why it shouldn't. Its for throwing snowballs, not hitting people with them...and besides, if it reflects, it still hits someone, YOURSELF!! :P And you can actually throw them at yourself, so that to me, is hilarious!! :P I did that for a little while too....
I am at 239/250 for throwing snowballs
I'm at 796 for snowballs.. slow going!
It does count, ! Amber said so in a news post comment or something, I don't know, but I read it yesterday!
omg I never even thought about snowballing myself 😂 Glad the reflected ones count. Didn't think about the achievement being so obvious - "throwing". derp
Eerily quiet work day so I think I'll get to 'paulting some peeps.

Lilys boyfriend is here doing school today too. Except apparently he doesn't have any classes left, so I put him in the kitchen to do his schoolwork on Ellys laptop anyway.
Though right now he and Iz both have lunch, so they're playing the switch :P
Nathan is not doing anything :P Even tho I told him to check into his google classroom, some teachers use it, some don't. I am not sending him back until our test results come in. So maybe Monday. Good thing is that it's the beginning of a new semester, so he will really only be missing going over the syllabus and stuff like that these 3 days. I guess I should holler at him to log on and see instead of playing on his game eh? lol
I logged into my collage email and have an email from one teacher, but no "classes" yet on my dashboard. So nice to have instructions and not be able to follow them hahaha (teacher said, go ahead and familiarize yourself with the modules and the work you'll be doing....but I can't since my class isn't on the dashboard yet!) lol Class doesn't start til the 10th. so hopefully something will show up before then!
Now all four of them are free for 20 minutes, so they're all watching video games happen? Teenagers are weird.
Hopefully everyone is on the mend and negative by Monday! And your classes are ready!
You got a forum point while making a post! Check out the shop here!
Hahah watching someone else play instead of playing is for sure weird. But they do it! I feel waaaay better. And feel stupid on one hand for staying home, but smart on the other for not possibly getting other teachers and kids sick....win/lose eh? Fingers crossed for negatives
Oh and I just looked at Nathans classes...and um.. well... um...hahahaha? His first period lit/comp teacher is the mother of one of my little terrors....oh boy.
Hahahahaha. Well, at least she should know how to deal with little terrors?
Lilys teachers may feel that way when they see me walk by in the background, occasionally! :P Some of them have even mentioned it.. both of them.
Is he all caught up in his classes?
He hasn't looked yet :P Brat. But as I said, it's the beginning of a new semester. And as he'll be excused absence, he can get whatever he needs when he goes back if he doesn't follow my directions (or I might smack him if he doesn't do it soon lol) He did ok last semester, only one class near failing, I think. Report cards are supposed to come home today, but obviously he isn't there to get it. Since we aren't doing virtual or synchronous learning, it's in person school only, the google classroom is just for teacher convenience - some teachers have used it for classwork since before covid.
He has lit/comp, biology, band (beginning instrumental), and physical conditioning this semester, along with Chorus for SWAG period (1 hr class all year long, supposed to be intervention period if needed...but they allow certain classes to happen during that time also, like mens chorus - where they have all of 8 kids enrolled in it... lol) He does NOT need beginner band - but he didn't feel like changing it and he already has the drum kit - AND already knows the teacher - he had this teacher in 7th/8th grade in middle school lol So i kind of wonder what Watford will do with him, as he already knows most of it - if he hasn't forgotten it all :P
and as for the little terror - well mom and dad say she doesn't act that way at home???? shrugs they had an intervention meeting just before christmas break to discuss it. they almost pulled her out of the program but decided to keep her in. (both parents are actually teachers at the high school - and her older brother does NOT act like that, never did - the other class had him in PreK years ago and he was a darling)
Yeah, that's hard! We have a little bit of both, there's still kids doing full virtual, and everyone has three virtual days per quarter that they can use. But all their classwork is always on google classroom, that's where they turn it in, as well.
Unlocked Throw a Snowball! Earned for throwing snowballs with the Snowtapult!
1,003. So, so, so far to go.
