Caffeine knocks me out.. Lily, too!

I agree, it can be both ways.. and both are harmful.

And I just did 10 on each opponent, until the rock troll. :P I gave up on him :P

Lily missed the bus this morning, so I had to bring her to school. Then I had to drop cupcakes off for geeks guild. Then I had to pick them up from geeks guild. Then I had to bring them back for play practice.. then I'll have to pick them back up from play practice at 8:30. I'm tired of going to the school!

Tired of going to school... snickers :P

I usually battle up to 10 also, unless I get one I can't beat after 2 or 3. Definitely gets boring. Need to remember to train my pet.

It seems as though, no matter how many there are these days, finding a GOOD doctor, therapist, psyche, etc has gotten very hard.

Even finding a crappy one for Lily was super rough! There's only one place here that takes her insurance, and it was literally the only place I didn't want her to go. I was even willing to pay out of pocket, but no one else was taking new clients.

... I had the same issue with the vet, actually. No one was taking new patients. Like.. WHY?!

And yesssss it gets SO boring!

Yeah I've been wanting to find my daughter and I a new one but that's nearly impossible right now. This nonsense is really hurting people, especially the kids.

Wtf is up with the vet??!! Sheesh!

Geeks Guild? giggles Sounds cute and fun. Makes me so glad my kids school is right next to mine. I just stay late at my school when he has afterschool stuff. I've never had to take him BACK again for something else, he just always stayed afterschool for it. Except on Saturdays, then I had to go take him and get him lol like for Cross Country events and such.

Oh gosh the vet. I drive 30min away to go to the vet because all the closer ones refused to fix my dog unless I got hundreds of dollars worth of shots. When we are only required to have rabies. Like, dude, I just don't want my dog having puppies. So now I just go there for anything I need. It would be different if I had hundreds of dollars to pay vet bills for random shots that I know are good for the dog, but aren't required! :P

Just did my history quizzes. Wonder if someone ELSE commented to the teacher that the quizzes weren't available yesterday. :P (I didn't but was going to if they weren't there today!) Also wondering if I should let him know that one set of directions says LAST name and the other set says FIRST name? Which are we supposed to follow? Either way, MY writing is correct because BOTH my names start in one group, but who should I respond to? LOL

Forums are being stupid this morning...

Why would they require you to get all these shots just to get an animal fixed?! Sounds like a money grab. Vets have gotten as ridiculous as doctors.

Sounds like you're having fun w/ those classes, Kat. :P

Yea I was confused by the vet on that one. I mean I understand they think its best for the puppy to have all its shots, but if the only thing that is required is the rabies, and I have the rabies, why won't you fix my dog so it won't get pregnant? The other vet was perfectly happy to, but THREE local vets all said the same about needing all the puppy shots first. Nope. Not on my budget, sorry.

Well I have adjusted into a routine with the classes now for sure. Just a lil frustrated by not really being able to move ahead as quickly as I can on my own in history... I mean, I still have to do my discussion responses, which means I have to wait on everyone else to post (only 2 others have so far as of last night, and ONE of those posts was for module 1 eye roll ) And to me, it doesn't make sense to read ahead and get too far when I'd have to go back and remember what the heck the discussion was about for a previous thing. Or wait for a quiz to get posted.... Music has everything already posted, and I'm holding my own self back on that, because it gives me two weeks to do what I can accomplish in about 4-5 days (unless it gets harder as I go along, but so far.....) :P At least that gives me plenty of time to complete the history stuff.

That does sounds annoying about not being able to move forward when you're ready to. I guess it gives the instructor extra time to work w/ those who may be struggling a bit?

Vets are a dime a dozen around me and unfortunately, most just want to cater to the fancy pants that live in the newer neighborhoods. I hated going to the few that I did but I finally found one w/ the best prices and didn't require anything other than rabies for getting the animals fixed. As I got money, I've been able to get them all updated w/ shots but spay/neutering is expensive enough w/out trying to pay for all the shots, too.

It's crazy expensive! And yeah, if you have rabies, that should be enough.

I did get Twitch his shots, but it was only $150 for the neutering, rabies, other shots, and microchip. Which is insane, because it was $140 from the humane society for just the neutering, and they said it wouldn't cover the full cost from anywhere! I'm glad I finally found a good vet. They're who took care of Bella too, when she had the bone stuck on her tooth. For Bella, she's terrified of the vets, and everyone else.. so the fire company does a drive through rabies vaccine clinic every summer, and that's where we normally take her.

Ugh, that sounds so annoying, Kat! I don't like waiting on other people for uh.. anything. :P

Yeah, that sounds around the same amount as what I paid for initial shots and spay/neutering, Mieke. Looks like I'll have another kitty to do since the oldest (grrr) dropped off another one that she said she couldn't keep and even tho I said "only if YOU pay to get her spayed!" doesn't seem to be sticking.

I've got 5 cats and 1 dog. /sigh 2 cats are mine, 2 were supposed to be my youngest's - younger daughter's cats to say it properly - and the newest one is just an airhead. lol For real... she has the personality of a rock. The dog is another dropoff of my oldest daughter's b/c she got divorced and moved into an apartment that doesn't allow them and for real, it's for the good of him b/c he's a full blood german shepherd that needs training and exercise and she didn't bother to do either for him.

I've currently got 2 cats and 3 dogs. So done with the 2 older dogs. Bad of me to say, but 1 is so whiney and the other pees on the floor all the time now, rarely asks to go outside anymore. Pissing me off...literally :P (they are 16ish and 12ish) I don't remember what I paid to get the dog I was talking about fixed, around a hundred I guess. She's a decently big dog (boxer/lab mix), not huge tho. She weighed like 65lbs when we got her fixed at 6m old. She's going to be 8 this summer. The cats are 11 and 12ish. The mama cat wandered up my driveway and stayed, and had babies. We kept 1 of the 5 babies. The dogs, well 1 was from a friend I actually was close to on here, she was in bad health and I agreed to take the dog when she died so he wouldn't go back to a pound. (this happened sooner than I expected). The other was brought over by a friend of my son's (and his mom) - she was moving and couldn't take it where she was moving...i was saying no as hubby said yes...sigh so we kept her..

I don't like waiting much either. But you gotta sometimes, I guess. Blah. :P

Just ordered me some shoes. Hope they fit. I normally buy in store but haven't seen any I like (wanted some fuzzy winter boots haha) so looked online and found some. Surprisingly they are supposed to be delivered tomorrow and Saturday (1 pair each day). I hate online reviews. I read them to try and help myself, but it never works "These are great, they fit perfect" "These were slightly too big, I had to get a smaller size" "These were too small! I had to order 2 sized bigger!!" - seriously? How can 1 brand of shoe be too big, too little and just right? (oh gawd, its a goldilocks story!) LOL

We have a dog.... I took her from my brother in laws house many, many years ago. I took the dog before I took his kids :P

She's 14 now, and even though she's NEVER peed inside, lately she's been peeing in the dining room, so the entire thing is coated in puppy pads now. :/ I love her a lot, but I don't know if we'll get another dog after she dies.

We've also got the two inside cats, Twitch and Kelly. Twitch is fixed, Kelly isn't yet. We really need to get her done, though.. so we don't end up with more Twitches! Someone dropped her off on the road and.. here she is!

And then there's a colony of strays outside. We feed them, we try and get them acclimated to people, so we can at least get rid of the ticks, etc. We do what we can. The TNR programs around here are super overloaded though, so they're no help.

We also have a rabbit.. we ended up with him from my godmothers house. Her son got him for her, but she was old as heck even then, and no one knew anything about rabbits... they fed him nothing but carrots! So.. he lives here now, for the past 3-4 years.

You do have to, sometimes, kat! I'm just not very good at it :P

And ughhhh I hate that too! Like.. how can they fit everyone so differently?! Are you SURE you know what size you wear?!

There's no way in hell I could deal w/ more than 1 dog! I'm definitely a cat person.
I'm down to 3 chickens now... my 2 older reds bit the desk some weeks apart during these cold snaps which usually isn't an issue for them, especially when they're all huddled up in the coop. I'll probably get some more chicklets here soon b/c we LOVE some fresh eggs, but raising these little shits is a pita.

I don't think people really know they're sizing. Some reviews I take w/ a grain of salt b/c they're just so out of place. I've actually ordered most of my shoes from Aliexpress, which only uses European/China sizing, so I had to be sure what size I was in that and I haven't had a pair that doesn't fit and they're great! I did get my really nice pair of hiking boots from Ebay, tho. These shoes are for mountain climbing! lol

I had a rabbit when I was young, and hamsters, a ferret, a goat, birds... lots of animals throughout the family life.

TGIF!!

Yeah, more than one dog is a LOT. My SiL has two big dogs, and she can't go out for more than an hour or two at a time.

I can't with chickens, little terrifying dinosaurs. They're so scary!

I love fresh eggs too, but I'd rather buy them from someone else, because chickens are awful little attack beasts :P

😂 "terrifying dinosaurs" That's too funny. They are little feathered dinosaurs, tho. :P My first group of 3 that I had thought I was mamma, so when I would let them out of their coop they would follow me around the yard. I would take off running and to see them try to fly to keep up was too funny. That was really the only group that was like that, tho.

Isabelle and Darren know it's their job to keep the chickens away from me. I don't want to accidently freak out and kick one, but I also REALLY don't want them near my feet... because I might accidently freak out and kick one :P

Daizya likes to walk around hugging the little demons. I'm NOT about that life :P

lol poor afraid of tiny dinosaur chickens. it sounds so funny, but I don't blame you, they are mean little suckers sometimes! My grandmother kept some and they always pecked at us kids. The ones we raised with my mom were nice enough tho. that sounds like me! I always say I had a menagerie growing up - several types of birds, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, several types of fish, mice, turtles, frogs, a lizard once, a snake once (little garden snake), rabbits, ferrets, and dogs and cats of course! I stayed far away from the lizard because it ate crickets and im scared of crickets (you would be too if you found one inside your pants at around 8yrs old when you used the bathroom) :P Im not as bad about them now as I used to be

I agree I think some people don't know their shoe size!! But I've been a 6 or 6.5 since forever. The only shoe brand that's been REALLY off for me, was Sparres (or however that is spelled). - Was buying for my daughter and ended up with a 4?? Maybe it was kid sizes or something. They were for daughter, but she was same size as me at the time and we both tried them on. It was so funny yet weird. Both boots arrived before I got home yay! Sadly, I had to order wide, so they are a little loose. Am debating should I have ordered the 7, which would be too big (these fit fine length wise tho they are 6) but would be narrow instead of wide? Dunno. Too big either way, I guess. I'll keep checking for regular size in 6 instead of wide and maybe get some more. Can't have too many fuzzy warm boots when it's cold!! :P (And I can save the ones I don't wear too often and use them later - I've done that with sandals in the past lol)

[edit] There. History discussion responses posted. I struggled a bit. There really wasn't a lot on the 2nd topic and most people covered it pretty well in their posts. And so, one of my comments was geared more towards the why we won the war part that everyone had to comment about, but to be fair, that person I responded to really didn't post much on that bit, sooooo.... I really didn't want to repeat myself on what I said on the other person's post or repeat what they said in their post...so there wasn't much else to say! Hope I don't lose many points for that (or for my 2 spelling errors I realized I did after I posted sigh) [edit] Good Morning (Jan 29 7am) You fling the snowball at sassysubsis and it hits them... hard! You fling the snowball at cazra and it hits them... hard! hehehe random friend hits!

Ugh got paged this morning and now I can't go back to sleep.... so here I am. Maybe I'll be productive today, since I slept pretty good last night.

I've seen a lot of videos of chickens chasing people and I'm sorry Mieke, I just find it amusing. :P Ducks, swans and worst of all, TURKEYS, are all funny to watch go after people but I think the turkey is the scariest. They're so big! It's mostly roosters that are the mean ones and I don't have any of those noisy jerks. I wouldn't mind, but I'm still kinda city so there's the noise factor, lol. I would kick a chicken if it came after me... same for all the other fowl.

Oh I loved reptiles!! I used to go out and catch snakes just to keep them around a little bit. Never tried to catch the big black rat snake that hung around the shed, tho. Geckos are cute but I love the bigger lizards... just never had any interest in keeping any as a pet. They're not fuzzy and cuddly. :P

That sounds like a boring history discussion, especially when you have to go after s/one else that didn't say a whole lot.
And my, what little feet you have! lol I wear an 8 - 8.5.

I've been forgetting about snowballs. Guess I could do some this weekend. I did do a lot of fragging the other day, though. Haven't done that in awhile.
