Sorry guys, I got home Monday but I've been salty because I lost my bathhouse streak :P I could only get service like, right after midnight, and the bathhouse didn't load the one night.. well, it did, but it was still saying you've already been here today.
And it was my LAST night there, too. Like.. argh.
Anyway Kat, I have a foldable crate thing in the back of my car or in the trunk, and I put the milk, bags of apples or whatever in there. :)
Though Iw ill say, the lack of plastic bags WAS a problem when we were tiedying and didn't have anything to put them into! We ended up tying them all into the plastic tablecloth that came with the kit :P
Hiya @/mieke! Glad to see you pop in but man, I know how irritating it is to lose a bathhouse streak. I've seen people have streaks for years and I'm like... ok, you have no life... 😂
Be mad, then let it roll off your shoulders. I do that quite often when it comes to shit around here.
The cheesecake wasn't really that good. I think if I would've gotten the regular one and then gotten a strawberry dressing to go over it, it would've been better. Now I'm stuck w/ all that cheesecake............... YES I know I should've gotten just a couple slices or s/thing but the 1-2 slices are so damn pricey compared to getting the whole thing. Still haven't tried the strawberry shortcake cupcakes yet. Got sugared out, I guess.
Now that work is over and it already rained, I gotta go out and straighten out my tomatoes, which are just all over the place, and pull some more damn sticker weeds. I need some leather gloves that go up to my elbow....
Half an hour later: Ok my back already hurts. Maybe I'll pop some ibuprofen (b/c it's part of my pms aches and pains) and get back out there to redo some stakes for the tomatoes. Wanna do some trimming, too. I'm gonna have a damn hoard of cherries, and I've got one little plant I put next to the lily garden that is yellow cherries that may give me a few handfuls of yummies. Gonna try to transplant that for the winter.

Ugh lost bathhouse streak when you tried is so annoying!!! Aww on the cheesecake ☹️ it is hard to finish up a whole cake when it's just one person eating.
Nice stuff from the pond! I want to remember more often but usually I'm too busy to remember to go every 5min or however long lol
Statesboro is a two and a half hour drive.
Today was our first special down the other end of the school building and it went ok. The kids barely had time to finish snack before I had to line them up. Two brought it along and finished in the hall lol (Special classes are art, music, pe, and instead of computer we have a special social class - leader in me....fun)
At the Dr office waiting to get Nathan's vaccination for 11th grade that he couldn't get til he turned 16. Apt was at 330 and I got here and checked in by 325, but still waiting. (It's now 338). Hopefully soon. I want to go home and cool down.
Yeah I should've paid for the individual slices, dammit. I tend to overindulge (at first) when I get sugar cravings, which is another reason I generally ignore them - that and they continue whereas if you don't have a lot of sugar in your body (starches, too), you don't crave it.
The pond is every 15min. I was hitting it up 2-3 times a day but like I said, I've been collecting scratchcards, just for s/thing to do.
I wish my daughter was still a 2.5hr drive away. 😔

Wasn't at the Dr maybe 5 more minutes after I posted LOL then had to go around a train on the way home, so now I'm finally home. Eating cheese and crackers for snack. IM STARVING today! (it doesnt help that lunch is at 1040 am) lol
I have really been wanting to buy some candy, but the bags are so expensive, and I want a variety not a single type - so I haven't bought any yet. I might this weekend.
Don't buy the candy! If you want sugar, get some fruit. 'Tis the season, right? Strawberries are in season. <3 Is there any kind of veggie you like to just snack on?
You know what goes good w/ crackers and cheese (while I usually omit the crackers)? Summer sausage, fruit and WINE! :P I had a French Aunt and that was always the mid tray before meals when she had us family members over. Always loved her accent. My uncle that she married and was brought over here was over there for some station in whatever military thing was going on. Talk about opposites attract!
Rambling... decided to have a couple drinks. Please don't get candy. Did you know that all these sugars are triggers for cancer? Not that I thought of it when I was speaking about my aunt but she passed from the big C. Over 20yrs ago and the science to treat people hasn't improved. I knew this guy that worked nights on the opposite shift that I did, became a manager and shortly after, his wife was preggo after like a several year difference in their children. Couple months later, the big C. He went to ALL kinds of medical facilities both in and out of state, only to pass. He was about 15yrs younger than me. Very young. (Colon cancer) You know what I think about? I think about the bills he racked up trying to "heal" while his wife was about to have another kid, and how she's going to have to deal w/ that debt.
Harsh? No. That's subjective. He ate like shit and didn't care for his body and that's a common theme for office workers. There are veggies and fruits that are shown to fight off cancer cells (blueberries and tomatoes) and for all the other stuff...................................... Agghhh. Nvm. I have very personal feelings about that racket. Cancer is too profitable to cure.
Ween yourself off the sugar, Kat. <3 Please? <3

Aww you are so kind to care so much <3 I never heard about candy causing cancer? Or sugars. I agree -I feel like that there could probably be a cure or better treatments for cancers if the drugs weren't such a big money maker. Same for lots of diseases honestly. It seems like the medications they give you to cure one disease causes 2 more diseases then you get meds for those and have more issues. Etc etc. Maybe not diseases anyway but issues for sure.
I...don't see me staying completely away from candy. I do try to not have it around all the time and to only have a little instead of a lot at a time. And I do like fruit...but...it's not the same as chocolate!!! I probably get more sugar from my sweet tea and koolaid than I do from candy!!!
No particular veggies I like to eat as snacks. Fruit I like mandarin oranges and berries - raspberries and strawberries mostly. Blackberries sometimes. I do not like blueberries at all. I do eat lots of veggies especially during school as I get whatever veg they are serving. At home I usually have green beans, green peas or corn. Sometimes broccoli (but err, that is in a cheesy rice casserole most times lol).
Aww... I wouldn't say "too much". When I started learning about more "homeopathic" remedies that are being used outside of the US, I became interested in what. how, why, etc. The FDA is a big joke - as is the food pyramid. The food pyramid that is currently out there is designed to make and keep us sick. Proof? Well, the myriad of articles, med journals and other news that I've read for literal yearss was enough to convince me. The sucky thing is, if I were to be a bitch and say "look it up for yourself", search results are altered so much that it would be really hard to find this stuff. Some has been outright banned by certain social media. Dr Mercola, is one of them.
I DO have lots of links saved.... many lost forever.... but I can share if you want. hugs
I completely understand not staying away from sugary stuff altogether, which is why I said "ween" yourself off of them. I swear on anything dear to me that as you take more sugar out of your life, the less you will crave it, and the less you will buy it.
Ok so when I found out some major cancer causing agents - artificial sugar, meaning anything that wasn't in natural foods - I wanted to walk around w/ a sign. It wasn't the only thing I was learning at the time, tho. Free Will is a bitch, in a sense. You're free to choose your religion, beliefs, choices..... but the main thing that I saw is that you're free to learn what will keep you healthy or what will end up killing you. Research...... more reading than you think you have time for.
~Ah, here's the interesting part ---- Read all you want at a particular time, even with all the interest in learning to save yourself or others -----you will only absorb what your are currently ready for, at that moment in time, and not before you are ready to understand it. (Very complex subject but I've experience it personally and you get that light bulb moment and then you realize that you've already seen/read/heard/etc that one piece of information that never "registered" until that moment.)
I mean, you can totally take me as a conspiracy theorist, but the facts are out there on the 'net for you to discover for yourself. It doesn't just go away. You've heard about free radicals and how bad they are, right? Well, sugar is like a conductor for them. That conductor contributes to any type of cancer that may or may not afflict your genomes.
Aaannd... I'm going to take my queue and and eat some food. lol

This about the sugar, yes totally, I get that. I have eaten less candy/sweets the more I get older. However, when I want some, I want some hahah I don't always get some tho. Also the being absorbing only what you are ready for. I agree to that also, if you aren't ready/interested in it, its never going to stick with you.
I think everything in this life is both bad and good for us, food, rules whatever :P And also almost everything causes or fixes something, we just may not know about it yet. Everything changes every time you turn around - this is good for you, NO WAIT!! This is BAD for you - this is good for you instead... (which was bad for you 10yrs ago)....blah blah blah. So I have decided pretty much that I am going to do whatever makes me feel good and feel happy and not worry about it any other way. I know thats probably not the super most healthy lifestyle choice - but eh. Its my choice.
[Quote] - this is good for you, NO WAIT!! This is BAD for you - this is good for you instead... (which was bad for you 10yrs ago)....blah blah blah.[/quote] HAHAHAHA oh hell that made me laugh. Ain't that the bloody truth. 😂 thinking of the whole egg debacle
We've been getting a ton of rain. Where the hell was this a month ago! Jeez. At least my car is clean. :P

It poured during dismissal today, thankfully AFTER I got back inside from taking the bus riders out - which due to me having to take a supposedly unpottytrained kid to check his pullup (which was completely dry, AND he sat on the potty and peed while I was checking it) - we were late to get out the door for busses, so we were in the middle of the kindergarten crush. It wasn't too bad, and I got all the kids on the bus before the big kids came around because thats when it really gets dangerous for the littles - because the big kids just rush out without looking - which is why we go out a few minutes early and are at the door for dismissal instead of in the classroom like the big kids LOL Anyway, I'm thankful I didn't get wet hahah! Poor Kindergarten para's. they were soaked. I will have car rider duty next week. - I'll go out there after I drop the kids at their busses and then help with the little kids to get into the cars at my assigned spot :P (and I will probably get soaked, my phone says rain in the forecast all next week) :(
Today we had flashbacks to two of the kids from last year, but thankfully the two that gave us flashbacks are not quite that bad, they just have moments. The one is a little girl this time tho and gosh. The look we got today when correcting her. I hope it gets better and not like last year. She is very sweet but just is doing the whole not listening thing which is frustrating when you've repeated yourself 20x in one day for the same thing to the SAME child. I have worked hard at talking to her when I do see her doing the correct thing - and plan to keep trying to do that as much as possible to hopefully nip this in the bud. The other - refused to sit down at lunch today. He did at least stay NEAR me, unlike the other one last year who ran off - even out of the cafeteria one time :o So thankful this one stayed near me even tho he refused to sit back down at the table. sigh :P Kids.
Yeaaaah that kind of patience is reserved for special people. ;)

Yaahhh hahaha lots of patience needed I remind myself a lot that this is only their third day of school and that most of them haven't ever been to school before. Little rascal at lunch went to half day program so even tho he's been to school there's been no lunch at school for him ever before til now. What cracks me up about it was he is always hungry. Gets to school "I'm hungry" send him to breakfast. He comes back after eating "I'm hungry and thirsty" give him water. On and on alllll day. Today he wanted to go get another piece of pizza lol after he ate his. I wish I could have let him he might have sat down again!!!! Lol
[edit] 713am Oh I forgot to tell ya'll about last night. Would you believe it?? CHICK FIL A messed up!! :o So I went thru the drive thru at 611pm. Pulled to the window, they handed me my drinks and asked me to pull over to the curbside parking and they'd bring my food out. 630 I am wondering where the heck is my food? Three other people have pulled into curbside from drive thru and got their food and LEFT..... ??? SO I go in, tell the cashier whats going on, she says, Oh we are working on it now!! - Ok So they're usually good about that - so I go to head out and she calls out, whats the name? So I tell her and turn back around to see if she needs anything else - she can't find my order on the screen - DUH - its been 20mins, so all the orders have long since changed up. She gets a manager - manager can't find my order. Has to go back and sort thru all the older orders. Finally finds it, fixed it for me and then gives me 3 cookies and an apology!!! :o Well, at least they (and I) were nice about the whole thing. But usually that doesn't happen at CFA!!!!
[edit]353pm Hmm Got some very strange mail today. One : prepaid visa card from Nathans health insurance, for healthy activities benefits - by my understanding of it. So I logged in and checked it out - they loaded $100 onto the card, mailed it to me, and removed the funds two-three days later (before the card arrived). Uhhh??? ok. Weird. So no funds on this prepaid card I got in the mail. He was automatically signed up for the rewards benefits I guess, just by being on the insurance program he has? Two : notices from my kids gerber life insurance that the payments (which I have on auto pay - AND made sure I had funds in the bank for!) were refused by my "credit card company" (meaning my debit card for my bank account) and that I needed to pay my premiums or the policies would be terminated due to non-payment. So I checked my bank account, sure enough the payments didn't go thru my bank. I do not know why. THERE WAS $ there!!!! So I logged in and made those payments. Now I will have to go back in and set them back up on auto-pay (or if I can find the funds, pay them for longer than 1m at a time so I don't have to worry about payments on them for a while....) - this is weird because I know when the payment was due, I made SURE I had funds in the bank, and I got email notices from gerber saying my payment had been made, which I thought only happened once the bank processed the payments - but i dunno, guess not? Now my guess is maybe the email is sent when they attempt to process the payment, and not when its actually been paid.
(and before anyone asks - I got the kids Gerber Life Insurance when they each were born because I wanted them to have a policy already set up for when they were grown - I have one thru my work, and so does hubby - but neither of us ever bought a policy on our own, and I thought since it was inexpensive, it was a good head start for the kids to have- and I plan to do the same for any grandkids I have!)
[edit] Monday 620am Good Morning everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend!
Annoying bank stuff, kat! :( I hate it when stuff happens like that!
Hey guys!
We're just kind of hanging out, enjoying our last weeks of summer. This is really really the last week of summer, because the next two weeks are marching band camp and that takes up.. a LOT of time. So this is the last week to really chill and relax.. give or take.
Good morning ! Hey !!!
One of our kids moved to a different school so yesterday we got a new kid. Class is much quieter 😉 this was the girl child I mentioned earlier that moved. Still a lot of crying for mamas and other reasons but we will make it thru that ... (One girl cried yesterday because she was scared to go to music class - although she was fine when we went to art?? - lol kids) [Edit] 305pm So today I do believe I was threatened by a 4yr old 😲 He was mad because I would not let him play with the magnet letters at Naptime and curled his hands up towards me like claws and said "my nails are sharp!"
You wouldn't (you would) believe some of the errors I've received. Just to post this, I hit the link for the "subscribed threads" which generally takes you to the last post and it said "No post to be found" or s/thing like that.
WTH Subeta!!
Went on a cleaning "spree" on Sunday... just did my living room but I used nitrile gloves to pick up all the damn clumps of hair that have been hiding under furniture that are only from the damn dog, then cleaned the floor then used Murphy's oil on it. Period started the next day... a week early but hey, nothing goes on a schedule anymore. Finally made it out to the store today to pick up some bare necessities for some recipes I have planned and spent $50 frakking dollars! I could've put my shit in 1 BAG. Even generic parmesan is up $2 from what is was a few months ago when I made my alfredo sauce!!
My GAWD.
Been in pain... but hell, I just came across some random PT's (physical therapy) channel about dealing w/ SI pain. (sacroiliac) Gonna try some of those exercises b/c that is honestly where the pain radiates from and spreads to my hips, mostly on one side.
I'll be back.. sooner than later.
(ahhh Kat, my dad got the Gerber life insurance for my girls when they were each born b/c he was smart and I didn't know what I was doing for many, many, many..................................many years. :P ) That paperwork is kind of lost.....

Yea I have been getting that too, since I got off work. Weird stuffs.
Sorry to hear you've been in pain :( No fun. Is that why your signature is beating someone up? :P I hope the PT helps. I always feel better when I do a little easy stretching when I'm sore. We've been doing some "yoga" at school with the kids before naptime to calm them down a little - I don't get on the floor but I try to do the other poses (standing or sitting).
Heck yea, stuff is too expensive at the store, its silly. $50 does not buy much these days, even generic!! I honestly spend waaay too much I'm sure, but feeding teenage boy here, I spend at least $200 a week on household/food stuff (that includes dog food, cat food, toilet paper, etc - in addition to breakfast stuff, snack stuff, dinner stuff) Crazy amount for just two people (and 4 pets) I feel, but prices are so high.
[edit] Good Morning (611am) I need to clean. I don't think we've vaccumed in over a week. ugh. its awful. So tired tho when I get home still. Gonna try and do it this weekend. Want to shampoo too.
[edit] 513pm I did not mean to make you change your signature :P That kid is on a roll. Today he told lead teacher the same thing "My nails are SHARP!" with the clawed hands. She asked him "and what are you going to DO with those nails?" ROFL He stared at her, then started babbling about stuff he is going to play with at home.
Today was full of crying sigh Little girl missing "gammy" (grandma), refused to participate in any activities, wanted to sit in my lap. Little boy (I think he may have anger issues???!!!) growling, whining and then starting to hit himself with fist to hand/leg and start to cry unless I quickly called him over to me. At naptime - this boy laid down just fine, then all the sudden started the growling and hitting himself with his fists (in his other hand, and on his legs) and then started kicking too....then all the sudden I guess he hit himself too hard and he screamed, scared me to death (I was trying to pack up bookbags). I walked over to him and laid my hand on his back and reminded him I am there (that is what I've been telling him, he doesn't have to get mad and hit himself, just come sit with me when he starts getting upset) - and he calmed right down and was asleep in 5min. Lead teacher talked to mom about this behaviour today and mom says its his way of throwing a temper tantrum when he doesnt want to do something..... we wonder a bit about that, because he isn't acting like he doesnt want to do something, he just all the sudden starts being angry/upset....strange. (like the naptime, it was like a good 5-10min into him laying down quietly - and earlier in the day, he was sitting quietly listening to the story then all the sudden started being upset, etc). - maybe he is bored or doesn't want to sit/lay down or something I dont know but anyway - I think its strange. (He DOES take a nap, and then gets upset when we have to wake him up too)
Hahaha no Kat, I was playing around on my Imgur page and deciding on what to put as a new signature. Yeah, I think that one really showed how I was feeling, lol. It was a little too big for my tastes, even after I resized it.
What is up w/ that kid!!? Seems like more than just a tantrum but I guess if that's what he's allowed to get away with to get attention, then he'll keep doing it.
Totally forgot the main reason I went to the store, which was to get some mayo. Might go get it tonight but I doubt I'll be using it so I think I'll wait until the morning when it's quieter. Still need to get gas for the lawnmower and do some trimming but we're going to have a nice weekend and I'll feel better with physical activity again.

Ahh well the clawed hands/nail boy and the tantrum boy are two different kids, but yea, same thing - if they are allowed to get away with it at home, they'll keep on. Mom of the tantrum boy says she is working on trying to get him to stop hitting himself tho. Hand-claw/nail boy - it seems like for sure he's allowed to get away with it at home - lead teacher called home for other behavior such as ignoring us, wandering around the room playing with toys instead of following directions, screaming NO at us, or telling us he doesn't have to do what everyone else is doing -whether its cleaning up, listening to a story, or going to lunch!!! - when he doesn't want to do something, etc - mom of THAT one said "yea he does that at home too, I don't know what to tell you" :o sheeesh.
I noticed we need to mow the grass here again too. So much rain lately, grass growing like crazy. Still haven't vaccumed my LR :P Bad me. Maybe later tonight, maybe tomorrow. For sure this weekend!!
I gotta tackle the kitchen with as much gusto as I had with my LR, lol. The meals I want to cook give me reason to go for it cause there's nothing like a clean kitchen to cook in, and mess up again. :P
Now that I've got the main clumps of hair up that were hiding everywhere, I can use a large floor roller that I bought months ago to pick up all the stray hairs instead of being swept into crevices like the broom does.
