Oh man, I've got some huge night spiders around here, Kat. Those don't bother me as they do their thing at night and are done by morning, lol. I've seen some monster webs be made and it always amazed me that they redo everything, every night. This one, I believe is a wolf spider, is just NASTY. I hate them b/c they're everywhere (smaller versions in tall grass or any corner, covering or item outside) and can leave nasty bites. UGGHHHJ... still have the heebie jeebies.

I will take more pics of the older lilies (tiger included as they're several years old, too) when they bloom. Not as many offshoots of the tiger or day lilies this year, which sucks.

I planted some of those red daylilies this year, and they popped up yesterday . Gorgeous!

My stargazer from forever ago also popped this morning, which was very exciting! And the tigerlilies are all over the place.

Obvs they're my favorite flowers (hence.. um. Lily :P).

We had a lot of fun at the orchard. More fun when we got back Sunday, I guess :P

I know you love the lilues, Mieke. ;) I love having some old ones that are 5ft tall. The day/Easter lilies have the most incredible smell that I'm obsessed.... except for their very short blooming time. I love sharing the pics w/ you. <3

In order to get my fill of flowers that bloom all summer, I'm going to have to widen the flower garden. That's just 'all' there is to it. The current area will be a dedicated lily garden. I do love how long the tigers last.

What kind of orchard did you go to? There's only one type nearby that allows visitors and that's an apple orchard, in Autumn.

It's an apple orchard, but the apples aren't ready yet. Sunday is the last day of the strawberry festival (but let me tell you.. there weren't many berries today! Someone gave El and Lil baskets, which was very nice, but they ended up giving one away, too LOL).

There's goats to watch, giant bubbles, a carousel, mini cow train, a scrambler ride, a giant corn pit (that's SO much fun!), giant yard and lawn games, and for the adults, axe throwing! Which I haven't tried yet, but I'm going to Sunday at the party, when Alex is there.

Thursday starts their next event, summer fest. I'm not super excited about that one, but after that is

Anyway, there's a lot of stuff to do. Iz, Darren and Jackson rode the scrambler 5 times today, played in the corn for a good 45 minutes, rode the carousel three times, and did everything else too. I think we were only there for like, 4 hours, and Iz was EXHAUSTED.

Like... couldn't even sit on a carousel horse exhausted :P

Good Morning everyone! Finished my comp module for WORD. 100s yay go me!

I started reading for my psych module today. Fun. Teenage years. Exactly what I'm dealing with in RL. For instance, mr grumpy pants informed me just a minute ago as I was waking him him "You don't NEED me to wake up, you want me to" Um well. Its a bit of both. I NEED him to wake up and be ready to go because I do not WANT to have to come back to the house to drive back up the road to go to the dr apt, when it is much closer to have him with me at the fireworks and then go up to the dr office :P (fireworks stand is sort of in the middle of my house and dr office area).

Ok I'm going to vent. So you all know I am leader for the younger girls and other lady is leader for the older girls. Youth group hierarchy says older girls group pays for anything younger girls do. Older girls/parents/family are to run fundraisers for youth group activities. Now, you also know I and other lady are basically main workers for fundraisers. I arranged for the little girls to come out and learn about/help with the fundraiser even tho they are not required to. Two of the girls are old enough/almost old enough to become big girls group members. Due to Nathans Dr apt today I asked one girl/grandparent to cancel coming out today, to come yesterday I instead. They forgot. Came today after I left. I point this out because the girl who came today is the one who is old enough to become a member of the older group. Anyway so they showed up after I left. Instead of allowing them to stay and learn, the other lady sent them home, simply because I was not there!!!! Excuse me but that girl is about to become YOUR member!! Why would you not take this opportunity when it is not super busy/crazy and let them learn about the fundraiser????? She is also being stubborn about the two groups meeting together, when it is explicitly stated in the guidebook SHE gave me that the older girls are to assist the younger ones in holding their meetings!!! I have not really pushed that earlier but have tried to talk to her about it now since the two older ones are supposed to be going to join her group, giving her 3 girls and me 2 girls.(neither is truly enough to run a meeting properly but you can make do with 3 or more girls). It's just really beginning to frustrate me. Why arrange to have a younger group if you aren't going to work to integrate them into the older group properly???

Good gawd, that really does sound frustrating and it seems like she's just being lazy. Personally I would confront her... but that's just me.

On one hand, I want to say yes lazy for not wanting to deal with that, on the other, this is the lady that was sick/in the hospital not too long ago. Also she does not feel confident in working the fireworks stand - even with help from other adults - who to be fair, are not there all the time like we are and do not know all the ins and outs like I do (mainly because I am the main person there all day, and I have made a point to LEARN everything!! I do the training videos. I read the paperwork. I figure out how things work. And I tell everyone else how to do it when they are there helping.) - So I can see where she would not want to have total newbies, including children, there when I am not there. She does step in and do the sales (she talks to people easily, but mixes up items sometimes, and absolutely hates working the tablet/cash register to take payments) when she has to, like if I am in the bathroom or in this case, have to leave for Dr apts.... However, my husband, who ALSO has taken the time to learn most of the stuff (even tho he did not do the training/reading, he has asked ME multiple times and LEARNED how to do it in the past years) - was there. Along with 2 other adult men (Mason's). So I do feel that the grandmother/girls could have stayed and observed at least.

I am so totally NOT a confrontational person. I do try to talk to people, but most of the time I feel I don't know what to say-or that I say it the wrong way-, and I don't want to upset them or cause a disagreement/argument.

In other news : Nathan's apt went well. They gave him a different brace so the stitches/wound could heal better. Its not infected or limited in movement (other than the fact it hurts when he bends it too far, obviously!!) They want to see him back in 4 weeks for another x-ray to see how it's healed. I will get the pediatrician's office to get the stitches out Tues or Wed.

Also since I am home, and not at the stand being interrupted by people wanting to talk to me or customers ;) I am going to focus on some schoolwork. I already did the dishes and put all the groceries away - sent Nathan shopping at Walmart this morning and went to Ingles this afternoon after the dr apt lol Need another trip to Walmart to get the last bits and we should be ok. [edit] 1015pm So, did not go to walmart the 2nd time. :P didnt feel like it. Came home worked on more schoolwork. Maybe should have waited til morning to do one quiz. Oh well. Got a 70/100 at least it was still passing. Got a 100 on the extra credit and the homework. The quiz was over more than just chapter 9, so it messed me up and I didn't remember some of it offhand and couldn't find the answers to it in my notes quickly - not enough time - so I had to guess on some questions. I guess the better word for that other lady would be incompetent. I say lazy b/c you have made it clear how much you took it on yourself to know everything that was needed and when s/one else does the same job, they should be applying their self just as much. Lazy people learn just enough to "get by" and that's it, which puts all the stress and responsibility on other people who actually know how to do their job. I know you said you weren't a confrontational person. It sucks to have to be that way (confrontational) but I think there's always a point where one has to directly engage a person or situation before it overruns them.

Busy w/ school work, busy w/ the fireworks... when do you rest? ;)

The gravity of my daughter leaving is really weighing down on me. I think I may have grown to be co-dependent on her to stave off the loneliness I get. That's the only reason I'm allowing my brother over for one week and then he's going to have to go back and suffer through what he allowed to happen.

Missed the BH the other day. SO IRRITATING!! Could've SWORN that I hit it for that day!

Arrgh on the bathhouse!! Yea I wish some of the others would step up a little more. This lady is also the one who put her name on the financial paperwork, so it's kind of makes it harder to be confrontational with her because without her we would be doing it at all. I wish one of the masons would step up for that too, and take that stress off her -. She is financially liable for 80k in fireworks in summer and around 40k at new years every year

I don't rest. I kind of like being busy? Lol as long as it's something I enjoy doing anyway. Or have a good reason to do (my computer class gets very boring).

Been back at work for a week. It’s like I’ve never been off.

Yesterday we saw the new minion movie and lightyear at the cinema. I really wanted to hate lightyear as it didn’t have Tim Allen as Buzz. But it was so good. Can’t believe that the girl on girl kiss for all of a couple of seconds has caused uproar. Seriously people?

So much upsets so many people. This is what your kids are going to see in real life. While I would say that any kind of kissing/sexual activity shouldn't be in films aimed at kids, it also doesn't bother me if it does include it, because kids see it in RL anyway.

Work always is the same old, same old eh? Sucks.

Did I mention my ceiling fan motor blew night before last? Yea fun. Now have to find $ for a fan and get hubby over to fix it as I know nothing about electrical. I need the fan. I am soooo used to it and it helps a lot when it's summer. I put a box fan in here last night and that helped.

Back to the orchard today for Isabelles and Bens 9th birthday party. Should be fun.. hopefully! I know "our" 5 litttle ones will be there, plus Iz has 5 friends coming, plus Ben has a few friends coming.. plus I think our friend is coming and bringing his soon to be stepson, who's also about their age? That's a lot of little kids. Thankfully, I've also got Lil, El, Levi, and maybe Akira to ride rides and chase them and such... because I plan on finally throwing axes!

And on that note.. it's about time to get everyone up and breakfast started!

Surprisingly this year we had some bigger stuff left for today!! So off to the stand I go. Hope to sell out by early afternoon.... Hope y'all had a blast at the party !!

We had a great time yesterday at the orchard, we somehow got there at quarter to 11 and stayed until 5:30 o.O

Alex and I threw axes twice, once with our friends Matt, and our friend Travis fiance. And then again alone later, after almost everyone else left. It was actually like.. really fun?! And I got the bullseye a couple of times! Which surprised no one more than it did me :P

Then we basically came home, got our chairs and glowsticks (and got changed, to get most of the corn out of our clothes :P) and headed to the fireworks. Alexs sisters band was playing for the 2.5 hours before they started, so we all mostly chilled together on the football field and enjoyed the music and the kids running around and such before they started. I will say, it was a good firework show! I haven't seen professional ones in years, and it was nice not to worry that someone I loved would be blown up :P

Sold all but $400 ish of little stuff like firecracker type stuff. Yaaaaay. Well, we did also have the remote starter kits left. I didn't expect to sell those. So hot and tired. Got home put dogs out and laid on floor in front of box fan for a few minutes. Currently ignoring dog who wants back inside

[edit] 1015AM Morning all! Been busy doing some schoolwork, my farmville, and autopriced my shop. Got to go back up to the fireworks stand today, and dismantle, pack up leftovers, and clean it out. Tho I'd prefer to do it early, i'd be doing it on my own if I did. So I'm waiting til after Nathan's dr apt to get his stitches out (at 1120) and then we'll grab lunch and go up there together. Ryan was supposed to meet us also, but he is running late due to the people at the location he went to pick up his load not being at work and him not knowing. (So he was there at like 2am and they didn't come in til 7am! - no one told him, don't know if they knew or not - so he won't finish work til later, so can't meet us) [edit] 305PM So. 1 load to the lodge, 1 load home, and STILL stuff at the container. Ryan is going to go by tomorrow (since he'll be in late today) and get the rest of the cardboard boxes/trash (we took home TWO full car loads (jeep/mustang) of boxes yesterday!!) - plus two loads of pallets in the jeep). And he'll have to get the ramps and gas can. I just could NOT fit anything else in my car. I had the posts/bases (16lb base, construction type cones) we use for the barrier, the fire extinguisher/water tank, leftover product, etc. FULL car. (Keep in mind, I drive a mustang lol) I did fit ALL the product into one medium/largish box :D Go me! Then we are returning a box of bags as well, since we didn't use any of them, we had leftovers from other times. Get our $ back on that (they charge us for bags, but if we return it unused, we get credit, like we do for the product we return). We also return the fire extinguisher/water tank, as they give those to us too, which is why I have them with me.

Seems like a good weekend for all. Walked up to the festival on the 3rd. They had a live band (Smash Mouth) and it was hella packed. All food vendors were CRAZY busy w/ lines like you wouldn't believe. It was actually kind of annoying. Those funnel cakes smelled so good! :P Guess it's better that I didn't spend my money. Fireworks were awesome and you could see other fireworks ALL over the surrounding areas.

My daughter wanted me to get the tracking app we used years ago so I could always see where she is. I LOVE IT! I could see where she was, when she stopped, her mph... all that good stuff. Stupid hotel tried to give her a room where the door didn't lock and she was like, HELL NO, I'm a girl! They finally moved her to another room that was available that locked and has all the extended stay amenities. I still think she needs to find another hotel but she has a helluva lot to pack so I know it would be a pita to do so.

Is your daughter now in Texas then ? I know you'll miss her. Do you guys do video calls or anything? My dad likes to do those with me LOL Funnel cake is ok-it does smell great! but I prefer cotton candy and fresh corndogs.

I've had to shampoo the carpet, I also bleached the dog cages and rinsed them well, washed the dog beds/blankets/mat pads (I vary between what I put in the cage based on what the dog seems to want to use - if Duncan is hot for instance, he likes just the pad, or the pad and blanket, but if he's been shaved or its cold, he likes the dog bed (fuzzy round thing lol). Skittles always likes the dog beds. - Duncan goes in both cages, so does Skittles - and I think while we were gone so much, he peed in both of them. One bed was soaked. YUCK. Anyway, the whole living room stunk to me. Thats why I washed it all and bleached the cages too. (I know I do get accustomed to the dog smell, but sometimes it gets really bad!!) And I've had to go in the attic TWICE this week to drain the excess water from the AC drain pan, as it was draining out the emergency drain again. And last time I found a towel up there? Like someone put it to catch the drips from getting on the ceiling or something, but instead it was soaked, and I think that's why the ceiling is so messed up!!! GRRRR

In better news, I've finished chapter 11 in psych, so will start chapter 12 later today I think, and then can focus on comp. Interestingly enough, the current chapter I just finished is about love, romance, marriage and divorce. sigh Is my life on display in this book? lol no, I know its not, but honestly, its just kind of funny, first teenagers now divorce for studying. I guess its just hitting home with me eh? I am almost ready to just finish that computer class by just doing the practice and exams and not even bothering to read the info hahah bad me I know. But for crying out loud, the instructor literally told us to cheat on the tests!! YES he did!! He posted a video last week in which he explained (as I'd already discovered) that question 1 of practice was the same as question 1 of exam, etc - and we could open TWO devices and do the practice question on one device and turn around and do the exam question right away on the 2nd device :o I wrote down my practice steps and used those to do the exam after that video (before that, the ones I took were short exams, only like 5-10 questions so I could remember the steps, the fact I knew a lot of it already helped - but the more recent exams had like 45-60 questions!!) :o (and sorry if I already said about that video, I couldn't remember - I know I talked to hubby/people at fireworks stand about it!)

[edit] Nathan turned his game off, and I heard water dripping! Little butthead did not tell me the ceiling was leaking that much!! So I scrambled back into the attic to find out where the water was coming from....which I knew generally where it was leaking to, I didn't know from where. So stupid condensation is dripping off the unit onto the pipe, running down the pipe and dropping onto the ceiling. Called hubby and showed him all that, and vacuumed out the pipes again since I was up there, including suctioning out from the AC unit once I reattached all the pipes just to help stop the water dripping. Of course, the ceiling is soaked, but i can't do anything more about that. Going to hope hubby will come and redo the pipe or something to stop at least the dripping from happening even if we can't solve the condensating/draining out the emergency drain issue. I just don't want the ceiling falling in. He will have to fix that if it does! Or pay to get it fixed!!!!! Also I hope he will replace my ceiling fan since its motor burned out the other day. Can't win for losing around here. Sorry for all the complaining. Im just so frustrated with it all right now. (Dog, AC, Fan, Hubby, Kid.....arrrrrrggghhhh)
