I got the mask thing yesterday, and wanted to try it out so I was waiting for ages for the wardrobe to let me in!! ;) Speaking of outfits, yours looks awesome :D What's the jacket you've used?

I wonder if/when they'll announce an extension to Morostide (thought that would've been posted on the news page by now).... at the moment the lag seems to have vanished, but it's almost guaranteed now I've said that, it'll return :P

I know what you mean. Other clothes seem to last a long time without issues. Not knickers tho. :) I always seem to easily get tiny lil holes in my thin wool shirts too, that I wear under sweaters or just indoors as a top. :K

I would never even attempt hemming a skirt or a dress. I know I couldn't do that well enough for it to look as nice afterwards.

You wouldn't believe the stuff that has went down the last few days. lol Oh my! I Might have to type it up and send it to you via smail or something.

Grandad always wears through the elbows on his sweaters (he leans on his elbows when he's using the computer), so I actually knitted elbow patches and stitched them on as a kind of decorative feature 😇 Oddly enough though, I find tiny holes harder to mend neatly than the bigger holes o.O

Back when I worked in a fancy clothing store, there was a pair of jeans that had been damaged by someone trying to remove the security tag. The manager asked if my Dad was the right size to wear them (the manager didn't just want to throw them out), and suggested I made them into shorts for him (the rip went right from the knee down to the ankle). Mum actually stitched up the entire rip, and they were perfectly wearable as jeans, although the mend was quite obvious on the front :P

As long as it still has the really sharp crease at the base (so you don't have to measure where the hem fold should be) you can keep your stitches really tiny on the outside so it doesn't show unless you look really closely ;) It helps if it's thicker fabric and not like a really thin floaty summer dress though ;)

it's really a cool look with the jester items XD and clown suit XD

THank you. It's i'm thinking they'll announce it as soon as they have Roulad come out? Which my guess is, shouldn't be too far from now.

sounds like its been a lot by just that statment

That was pure luck with it all working well together ;)

....and of course new.subeta / the wardrobe is lagging so much, it thinks I've logged out again, so I can't see the overlay image :K

ooo that's a different look today - is there meant to not be a background, or is that my log=in glitch that's stopping it from showing?

lol awesome oh theres meant to be, but like you said I can't even get the damn thing to load so it's been a nightmare and I wasn't planning on using this until tomorrow. Was going to try for another look but was trying to see if I wanted to buy some items. It's awful. I've logged out like 20 times and ugh. your new ragdoll/kitty is super cute :D

try again now - although the login just gave me a never ending loading loop, I tried the wardrobe in another tab again, and it let me in ok ;)

Thanks :d I couldn't resist using that zapper skin, and the puppet strings were a happy misclick accident that seemed to work ;) ;)

it seems to go through phases of loading fine for a few minutes, then you get 20 minutes of lag - almost like one server is messing it up and the other is working ok o.O

That background looks really good :D

I will see about explaining it to you tonight or tomorrow. :) And yes.. its a lot... Just got home from a big family gathering. Celebrated my grandmas 90th bday. (late- it was actually at new years).

That sounds like a good solution to the problem. :D I am impressed he even uses a computer. :D

That sounded like a great deal for your dad. :D Jeans can get pretty expensive at those stores. Always nice when you can make something new rather than just throw stuff away. Good for the environment too.

:nods: Some fabrics are easier to keep tidy. I just have very little patience with projects like that. :P

it looks like it was worth it though ;) One of our lights was flickering, so Mum tried finding a new lightbulb.... only to discover that Grandad's lights also were flickering, so it looks like a power problem rather than a lightbulb! 😊

he used to use the internet, but since they moved house he decided he didn't want the hassle of that, so he uses it for spreadsheets and playing solitaire ;)

nods it's crazy when jeans are £40 or more, especially when I can get the fabric for £10 so I would assume the shops can get it for a lot less than that!

If it's a fabric that frays, then I have zero patience at all :P although "Fray Check" can come in really useful ;)

we're a mile away, but when the power company put any power cuts on their map, they list is by the first part of the postcode, and that covers all of the city this side of the river, so yeah it'd be likely to be on the same grid ;)

Of course, but covid restrictions made it so that we couldn't gather a bunch of people. :)

I don't blame him, playing solitaire can be a relaxing way to kill some time. ;) Satisfying when you win too.

:nods: And you pay extra bascially for the brand name. :P And if you make them yourself, you can get the lenght and fit you want. I have never heard of "fray check" before. Googled it and it seems really useful. :D Thanks for the tip.

nods he can 'lose' quite a long time just playing solitaire, so that's always a positive thing :D

That's very true! Although getting the fit to be 'right' does take a lot of trial and error (mostly error :P) if you try making them yourself ;)

I think Fray Check is more of an American thing - I came across it in the local fabric supplies shop and they said it was in the sale because they'd ordered it in and nobody wanted to buy it (that's the only time I've ever seen it for sale locally!) :P I've seen a lot of people recommend it for buttonholes, to stop the edges of the fabric from fraying past the stitching (I used it in a jacket I'd made, where I'd accidentally cut through the stitching while I was trying to open the buttonhole 😊)

Just letting you gals know that I am leaving for another trip tomorrow and won't be back until Sunday night. So I won't be around as much, don't plan on bringing my laptop. Visiting my bestie and going to an event for my organization

Raven: Thanks for your support. :hugs:

Paddy: If he is anything like my gran, he gets bored at times? Even the activity center she used to go to a couple of times a week closed down which is a shame. They closed it to save money I believe. They always cut the budgets were it hurts the most it seems like.

That could be it. When I googled it I found some online stores that sells it. Not under that name specifically, but should do the same job. :)
