annihilation. the movie was great so when i found out it’s based on a novel series i picked them up. a lot of biology, very cool and mysterious.
I have a few books rented out of the library right now. I'm starting with a poetry book called Icehouse Lights by David Wojahn. It's been an okay read, feels like a lot of personal moments that the author is recalling, so it feels very emotional.
currently reading The Witch's Book of Self-Care by Arin Murphy-Hiscock. goes into magic-type stuff of course but also really good general life and mental health advice!!
on the backburner: Devil House by John Darnielle. haven't started this one yet but plan to soon, REALLY excited about this one ngl

Hello 🐱 🐶
I heard about The Dresden Files for years and finally picked up the first 6 books.
I can't believe this was in our HS library, wow. It's growing on me.
"Emma" by Jane Austen. Just recently finished "Persuasion"

I'm currently reading "The Witch" by Ronald Hutton, which is non-fiction, but I picked it because I'm interested in the history of witchcraft and the different interpretations of it. As for fiction, the next book on my list is probably going to be "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Brontë or "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss.
My current reads are Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer and The Long Walk by Stephen King! I actually read The Long Walk last November and LOVED it so much (5 stars from me), so for this reread, I'm annotating it and it's been fun so far.
I'm currently reading a few webcomics as well, but those will take forever to actually finish.
I loved Emma. I read it last year and was pleasantly surprised by the entire story!
