I’m currently reading Gild! It’s the first book in the Plated Prisoner series, which is based on the King Midas story.
Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas and I'm not impressed …

The Lives of a Cell by Lewis Thomas. A gorgeously written book.

I'm currently re-reading Pride & Prejudice. Gotta love a classic!
Now I’ve started the Bargainer series by Laura Thalassa. It’s alright, kind of bounces around right now and I have no idea what the main character looks like though I’ve heard she did that on purpose.
have you already read the rest of the series then? I did a tandem read with EOS and TOD (read them at the same time using a chapter guide) and really enjoyed it that way.
I'm trying to get through as much of Dune as I can before I see the movie tomorrow! It's one of my husband's favorite books, but I'm finding it a bit difficult to get through parts of it.
The Last Graduate by Naomi Novik. It's the second in her Scholomance series, the first being Deadly Education. The third book isn't out yet but I'll be snapping it up as soon as it is available.
It's about a girl in the Scholomance, a magical school set just outside of reality in order to protect the students (tasty magical morsels) from the Maleficaria that would devour them. Our heroine, El, is cynical, quick witted and was prophesied to some day destroy the world, but that's not really in her to-do list. It's an absolute blast of a series.
Rereading Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson. It's part of the Stormlight Archive, which is a worthwhile read if you're into high fantasy.
I absolutely loved Deadly Education. Is the sequel living up to it?
So I read them both, loved both books and when we were making long road trips I started reading the books aloud to the husband. We both loved the snarky humor and when we got back from our road trip he insisted we get a hardcover copy of The Last Graduate so he could finish reading it. The story builds, twists and grows the characters in some very intriguing ways, and the ending is a massive cliffhanger. If you're the sort of reader that can't deal with a drawn out cliffhanger you might want to wait til the third book is out.
EDIT (1/16): Finished Thirteen Storeys, it was as amazing as I was expecting. If you're into kinda subtle horror/suspense, it's DEFINITELY worth a look. Played my usual bookcase roulette to figure out what to read next, the winner this time is No One to Trust by Iris Johansen. I have no expectations for it, just a hope that it won't suck.

I've been getting into a lot of historical fiction within the last couple years though I mostly read fantasy.
The one I'm currently reading is a historical mystery novel set across various different time periods, the late 1800s, early 1900s before WWI and after the second world war in 1953.
Title: Stone's Fall Author: Iain Pears
and I just finished that book, so onto to a Philosophical Fiction book called Night Train to Lisbon. A film was made of the book in 2013 though I wasn't aware of that.
