Thank you all for your help and suggestions. It's good to know that there are multiple freezes during Morostide as well as the right type of crystals to prevent freezing.

I realize that I'm not responding specifically to the detail and care that you all put into responding to me. I'm pretty much too involved with all the other aspects of Morostide to process everything at this moment. I'll save the event notifications for your pings so I can come back later and investigate more completely what ea of you has suggested. It's quite nice that you've all taken the time to be friendly and helpful. I hope you're all enjoying Morostide and especially the battling (assuming that's your fave thing here).

The truth is that I'm not at all certain that I want to make battling much of a priority, as it isn't my fave thing to do. I wanted to see if I could win some of the books that some challengers drop and save myself the high cost of spending millions on one title, but it seems that the expense to train pets and buy weapons, in the end, could outweigh the cost of the books themselves.

I have a pet who's read nearly every book. At one time I thought I could keep her in the top ten, but now I'm questioning that decision. Regardless, I am here everyday enjoying the many fun aspects of subeta. My fave is shop keeping!! I very much enjoy buying up merchandise to hoard and sell later!! :) If you ever need a book that's in one of my shops or galleries, let me know and we'll see what we can do. I like to think I'm a fair minded and generous person!!

Any scrolls that are particularly worth investing in for the Morostide opponents/in general? I have 71AP but am still rolling with only Telson scroll, because price and ignorance never got me around to buying or making new ones.

an example of the past ten wins goodies, I did stats on the Scary Chairy Challenger. It drops at a thirteen in one hundred chance and at a nineteen in one hundred chance. This is from going to fifteen wins with twenty pets so that I'd have a nice even one hundred extra wins over ten wins..

The pumpkin currently sells for 625K and the Centipede for 180K. A battler could buy some boosters/mage amulets from selling these, if they sell.

Yes, indeed, I can definitely understand why battlers have to charge what they do for the books that challengers drop. It's been a good experience for me to investigate battling after all these years of playing subeta because it's helped me learn more about a variety of things. I appreciate your experience and what you've said about profit calculations, and I believe that you know what you're talking about. As much as I love shop keeping, I don't keep records of anything and at my age (and after all the years I spent keeping track of so many things, facts and figures, etc IRL) I don't keep track of anything here. I do it all by instinct and intuition, which is OK with me. I'm having fun. I also enjoy doing the math in the moment so I've got a sort of running tally with certain things that is here one moment and gone the next (but don't tell my brain that cause it thinks I've still got it all together, lol)

generally you want an Aftershocks scroll and as many freezing scrolls as you can equip, usually Shriek of Despair. Which should get cheaper at the end of the month once Nightlady shows up to drop more into circulation.

There aren't all that many opponents who can't be frozen, and those need to be looked at on a case by case basis really.

Organ Collector has far too much defence. This is taking forever.

I'm a little confused ... So with the first wave, my main battle pet already had 10 wins on two of the challengers from last year. Now with the second, in the statistics tab of Scary Chairy Cieran wasn't listed even though I was very sure that we had already beat this one, so I checked Cieran's tab and yes, she did have ten wins. However it seems like this year it is starting to count from zero onwards again? So even though Cieran has ten wins listed against that thing in her own tab, it was on zero in the Scary Chairy's tab and her first win (this year) was counted as her first overall? Is it normal that there is some sort of soft reset every year? But if so, how come the wins against Candy Scorn from last year were still registered in Candy Scorns tab?

Just taking the top two battlers through, I can't be bothered with when I doubt he can beat Noflaik yet and certainly can't handle Organ Collector.

Final drops: 21 mage amulets. For which Jerkbear gave me 7 tomes. Better than I expected, honestly. can have those to make up for the exp he's missing due to my laziness.

I am getting for post-ten-wins from Torchbearer. So far dropping at the same rate as wins 1-10, one in fifty. This is only with a sample of fifty though.

I've not gotten any fire mage amulets from Torchbro, I thought he stopped dropping them. xD edit: Got one finally with Hanji. Let's see if my smaller guys rake'em in, cause El got none.
