Have you basically taken over as battle admin too now? I've noticed you seem to be posting a lot more of these types of updates.

Well, that's my three main battle pets at 10 wins each on the first wave. I might do a bit of grinding later for expensive foods... but realistically I'm probably too lazy. We'll see.

I wonder if there are any books in the higher win drops. :o I'd totally grind to find out.

edit: did over 50 on Pumpkin Goblin, does not have any rarer, different loot at higher wins. Thought because it dropped Pumpkin Carving 1, that the sequels would be there in the random loot drops.

I"m new to battling and I'm having trouble with the Goblin. I have a couple of tier 6 pets but no tier 6 weapons, so I'm using a tier 5 set. All the weapons in that set are modified, in fact none of the modifications slots are open, so why is my pet getting frozen mid battle???

I thought the modifications prevented that from happening. I'm also using potions and scrolls for each turn.

I would like some advice about the freezing as well as any suggestions for reasonably priced tier 6 weapons. I tried to find some awhile back but all I came across were super expensive ones. Is there a list of weapons somewhere that has them rated by tier. I tried using subetaLodge but that's where I found only super expensive ones. I don't understand how everything below that tier is dirt cheap and then suddenly they're so much. What am I missing here, lol??? :)

half of the Morostide Challengers are terrifying and so they will have multple freezes on your pet.

It has a high chance to freeze and sometimes even freezes my t8 pets. The goblin is a little fast for your tier, especially if your build is not even. You have lots of pets so I don't know which is your t6 one. This means it will freeze you more often and your BONA and Parched crystals will be less likely to activate.

I'm puzzled about the cost of freezers? Are you talking about scrolls or weapons? A freeze is a freeze if your pet is fast enough and I think it might be so tier of the freezer is not too important. The goo-spitter and the chocolatell are cheapy and do one freeze. If you have the AP I can give you some Shriek of Despair Scrolls. They are currently priced reasonably and their price will drop a good chunk if Nightlady drops them this year. Battling is an expensive hobby and the policy of the BAs to "preserve value" means it's hard to get them and also means that the weaponry that was once released upon winning x challenge got made Achievement-only to screw over newer players in a sacrifice to this principle.

I dunno if having a blaster and ultimate tag as a stealer is useful on this one it depends on its weapons array. Those are both cheapish and might get you an extra round or two.

only Parched Baguette crystals and blessing of natural armor tear crystals block freezing and even then it's not complete. To have a good ammount of uptime you need about 3-5 mods across your 2 weapons to keep the blessings up which can be hard for t5-6 weapons since they dont have a ton of slots

Finally through with that wave. It is a little disappointing that Josephine (tier 5) and Luisa (tier 4) could only handle two out of these while the majority of my pets had to be content with only the Wurlm - makes me kind of afraid that this wave is all I will be able to deal with this year if the opponents are getting progressively stronger. I guess I'll just have to see how far I can get with Cieran (tier 8). At least she didn't have any issues with any of these guys, so they might still be some hope, even if Josephine and Luisa are out. I know I could probably just look up which opponents are still comming, but I'm okay with being surprised :)

I usually recommend an old post Jess made with budget recommendations by tier which is still fairly reasonable. Aside from a few utility items that are useful even at stat cap, there's nothing really expensive I'd buy specifically for tier 6. Like TheSovereign says, use Parched Baguettes and Blessing of Natural Armor mods to avoid being frozen. Mods are not a guarantee of freeze protection, they each have a 10% chance per turn of activating a blessing that will protect you.

Speed isn't a huge deal. Xuraki has lowish speed for T4, but beat the goblin ten out of ten fights. Guinea Pig has very low speed for T4 and only lost once out of eleven fights. Cerredwyn's Solstice Witch and Mouseferatu might be the pets in question, so I don't think their builds are even an issue.

did your weaponset have lots of BONA/Parched Baguettes?

My attackers had two parched baguettes and one BONA between them. At T4 you're looking at 0-2 mod slots per weapon. My scroll set had two Psycho Smashers and three Shrieks of Despair, so you can guess my strategy.

I think this is the first time I wasn't a total slacker! I beat the dentist dude 10 times with all 30 of my pets! I usually "find excuses" not to do so many battles. LoL

Is It normal that my trident of the banished ones only does 6 icons and no heal on a T6 pet? I remember it should scale up but it does the same amount of damage as my T3 Nd T2 pet (Sorry I didn't think it deserved a whole thread)
