Meant to say this earlier...I had a dream last night, that all the battle stats were reset, and they created new drops for 5 and 10 wins...and beyond...people were going nuts. When I logged on this morning, I had to check that it was a dream...

dang it's been a while since I've bought tomes. I was only paying 2.4mil per tome at most.

Looking at the amulet market right now, 2.8 is too much to pay still unless your spending 500mil+ at a time. I'd pay 2.6 max right now.

If People are actually buying at 3+ I would probably jump back in the selling tomes game :P

Smooth BQs today, 29/30 with no problems. Won't be long until he can start tackling at least some of the 30s.

I too wish tomes would deflate back to a reasonable level, not sure why they're so high now.

Goal for today: Numair is 4AP away from adding another freezing scroll to his default set, so grinding a couple of tomes to add to the books I just bought for him.

Even when they are on search at 3.2-3.4mil, that doesn't mean I can dump 50 tomes on the market and they will sell.

Ooh, hey, a new board. I don't post often so I'm kind of a random stranger here lol but I just wanted to shout about how I finally beat Meatslab and got a Baal. I didn't do it "right" with the best weapons, I just waited until my pet was strong enough to brute-force it. That's pretty much how I battle haha. I really want the Cronus Blade of course but I don't think I'm ever going to want to give up the Baal. Making a combo out of achievement prizes was evil. 👿

Congrats, and I agree. We should be able to get a second Baal to keep as a solo.

Thanks! I don't know why the prizes couldn't have been loot instead. If someone can train up a second pet that can beat him, I think they deserve another Baal. I know I'm just not supposed to care about both battling and wearables but in that case, why do they make the weapons cool wearables too? argh

Well, that grind took far longer than it should have done. Turned in somewhere between 15 and 20 amulets while farming up tomes and the Mage gave me ZERO in return. What a jerk.

But it's done, Numair's got his additional freezing scroll equipped now, and some decent stat gains along the way.

tomes are def selling for more than 3m p quickly. buying everything up is a very poor longterm strategy at getting the best price. you could save a couple hundred m short term but lose months of your time later

Ok got my BQs done. 20/30 for today.

I think I bought like 20 of them at war time for around 3 mill, but that was me also wanting to boost my pet, obviously not being smart. I offered 3 mill each for 20 recently and was rejected. I'm hesitant to even spend that, but my sP is just sitting there haha.

SubetaLodge says the shops had them for 2.8 last summer, so it has been a while. Must be more people getting into battling after the last war.

Agreed about people buying stuff up haha, I guess people don't care as long as they have SP.

I can still find some for 2.9/3mil (either from boards/trades/or long time users I buy from). at 3.3mil 20 tomes sell within about 4 days.
