hehe she wasn't all that keen, even though the stuffing came from a packet so it just needed mixing up with water and baking in the oven so it wasn't overly complicated to do :P

We only lost one fish in the move and 4 days in hotel. All are safely back in the new tank and doing well it seems. Needa find Mum’s castles so we can put those back in the tank but they all seem fine really. Yeah the entire week was hell so I’m glad its over. She really is a darling. I’ll have pics soon. :) HAHA no, Shuga had to go :P

ooh amazing HA IT really was absolutely dreadful. She’s doing well with Amelia and I think she’s doing better with the cats. She’s explored a lot today but I put her in my room overnight and if I’m gone for a while. She needs some supervision.

we are going to be filing claims. They broke my office chair too but I’m not broken up about it. LOL it was broken before—they just made it worse so it has to be replaced.

Thank you so much! :-) Yes that does make sense about her needing to have a lot of attention and care/someone watching over her. She is still very young. It's good she is getting on with everyone so far. <3

it certainly makes things a lot easier ;) although Gran would probably say it's not done "properly" (she worked as a cook, so she prefers homemade things to the kind of packet-mix ones :P)

So today was another busy day, but then what hasn’t been lately? My new desk arrived (the old one was left behind since it couldn’t get out of the room), my new chair (movers broke it) was assembled at the store. Did lots of errands and picked the chair up. Got a dresser for mum and dad at Goodwill for $40. It’s a really nice one with just a few minor flaws. I built my desk… just finished in fact. My arm is killing me but I’m happy it’s done. Without a desk and chair has been a nightmare. Maya explored a lot around the house. She doesn’t mind Amelia it seems but is hissing and growling at the cats. I think it’ll come fairly soon though. She’s young. Currently, she’s sleeping on a picture frame I’m looking for a spot to hang. Finally I have the desk I can start getting the final layout sorted.

lol yeah it’s tricky even getting them locally. Actually Amelia’s been a champ. I’m majorly impressed with how she’s dealt with this move. Seems quite settled and everything.

lol and to make sure she doesn’t destroy things :P Seriously though I think she’s bonded nicely with me. I know I’m very happy to have the little one and I think she’s happy too. She follows me XD

yes lol yes she does XD She’s a wonderful little girl though. Very happy. Hehe Pusur knows that cats were worshiped by the Egyptians :P they haven’t forgotten haha.

That's good with Maya not being too fussed about Amelia - and of course that Amelia has settled really well! Has she been exploring the neighbourhood on walks, or is she more of a 'stick to the house and garden' kind of dog? ;)

I really should ask to borrow Gran's recipe book - I'm sure she's got lots of recipes lurking in there that we haven't had for ages ;) We do have my great-great Gran's recipe book somewhere too.... she worked as a cook at carious people's houses back in the late 1890s / early 1900s, and her recipe book has the addresses she worked at, along with their favourite things for her to cook. I've never been brave enough to try making any of that myself though! :P

That is a proper family heirloom! I woud take super good care of it. :) You might surprise yourself if you give it a go with the recipes. Sounds like cooking is in your blood so to speak. :D

I think it must've skipped a few generations at least, as Great Grandad and Grandad (on Great-Great-Gran's side) were never known for their cookery skills :P

That is a great idea.. you dont want food stains and stuff on the paper. Or you could write them them down in a notebook or something. :)

My Gran always liked to say that my Dad "could cook anything".... but I've never known him cook anything (unless you count heating up a tin of soup in a saucepan), so I think that was a bit of an exaggeration :P

I thought I replied here lol. New chair is working out well. Desk is the same I once had but in white which I feel is prettier and brighter than the black.

Unfortunately Amelia doesn’t seem happy with Maya when she’s sleeping. She snapped at the little one the other night. I’m just making sure she’s not alone with the dog until both are comfy with each other.
